The site is having issues, I know.  Sorry about that.  I hate web hosts, I've not had one single host in the history of this site not take my site down for at least a day. Anyways, I put a few pictures up yesterday (FTP was working fine) so you can go look at those if you want.  Pretty much just posting power rankings today as I'm out of here in a half hour and have a bunch of shit to get done:

What an awesome weekend, that was probably the best weekend I've had in Colorado in recent memory.  The best part about it is, it wasn't terribly exciting, but it was exactly what I needed in every way.  Friday night I had some Viva Burrito and went to BDubz with Jameson to watch the World Series.  Saturday I rode my board at A-Basin in the morning, finished up my list of things to do at home, and went to the bar (Woody's) & a costume party about a mile from my house. You flat-out would not believe the women at Woody's on Saturday night.  I've been going to bars since I was 18 ... almost 10 years, and this was easily the best selection of attainable gorgeous women I've ever seen. The costume party wasn't this insane/crazy party like we used to go to a few years back, but it was awesome.  I got to play foosball at an after-hours party (with a bunch of people I'd just met) until 3am as well, I can't describe how much this pleased me.  Yesterday (you'll be shocked here) ... I watched football all day, pretty bizarre, eh?  A quick thought about the NFL ... (and no, it's not about how terrible my picks were this weekend)

... I am thrilled that I no longer get upset for two days after the Seahawks lose a game.  Don't get me wrong, I'm not pleased that they lose, but I don't let it ruin my week any more.  I'm actually to the point now where I'm pretty sure it pleases me more when the Broncos lose than it does when the Seahawks win.  But regarding the game yesterday, I was so happy with how Seneca Wallace played that I couldn't be upset with my team.  The Sea-Fence is just attrocious, and Seneca did everything we could expect him to do in his first NFL start.  Something is majorly messed up with the D.  What's going on with Lofa, the Hammer, Truf, and Rocky?!  They are just not playing the way they played last year and they need to step it up.  I'm hoping for big things against a national audience against the Raiders on MNF next weekend, that has the potential to be very embarrassing!

It's looking like the snowboard trip to Chile next August may be off, which is wonderful due to the opportunity cost which presented itself to take its place.  I am 99.9% sure I'm going to be snowboarding in Switzerland in February at the Matterhorn.  I'm not even going to get into the details yet as I couldn't possibly be more excited about anything in the world (well, unless I could find Library Jennifer again, or maybe the Seahawks in the Super Bowl again).

This week is rather chill, but next week couldn't be more opposite.  Next Wednesday, I'm going to meet Ed Viesturs at his book signing/slide show, then hang out with the 14ers.com clan afterwards for awhile.  Next Thursday is my meeting at Regis where I'll get all the details pertaining to my MSCIT degree (Masters of Science - Computer Information Technology).  Next Friday the clan all flies in for the ISU/CU game, which will certainly be a kickass weekend.  Shit, that reminds me, I need to buy a gas-powered leaf blower this week, shit, anyone know of any sales?

The forecast is informing me that yesterday's snowfall should disappear this evening.  That loosely translates to "The roads will be excellent when I drive to A-Basin tomorrow morning."  I'm surprised you didn't know that.  Keystone and Breckenridge are both opening early, November 3, which is flat-out insane.  I'm riding my board two months earlier than last season (broken ankle) and the snow is going to be a step up as well, I'm ecstatic over this!

I can't decide what is funnier, the fact that South Park gave me the greatest costume idea ever (Steve Irwin with a dead stingray sticking out of him), or The Onion opinions page this week.  I'm convinced that my sense of humor must be warped beyond repair, because while apparently these things are both insanely controversial, they don't bother me in the least.  In fact, they're hysterical, and I loved the Croc Hunter!

Two milestones were reached last evening in fleetmack.com v2 development.  The PHP real-time syndication to the main page, and a full upgrade to PHP 5.0.5 (from 4.4.2).  That PHP upgrade had me quite worried, I really didn't want to break my guestbook, gallery, or forums as they are a major pain to fix.  Also, I didn't want the upgrade to affect any of the boatloads of PHP code I had written for the new site.  I got away clean with 5.0.5 running perfectly!

This week's NFL picks (I got a "monstrous" 38 points last week and am now 19 points out of 1st)

Ravens @ Saints 8 I'm not betting against NO at home until they lose there
Cardinals @ Packers 7 They lost to Oakland, how can they beat the Packers?
Falcons @ Bengals 6 Vick never has 2 solid games back-to-back
49ers @ Bears 14 Durrrrrrrrrrrrrr (yes, I hope I'm wrong!)
Jaguars @ Eagles 10 No way the Eagles lose three in a row
Texans @ Titans 3 When in doubt, pick the team that just beat Jacksonville
Bucs @ Giants 12 Eli is gay, so very gay ... we're talking Lance Bass gay
Seahawks @ Chiefs 4 Seneca wants revenge on the Arrowhead Stadium goal line that eluded him in 2002
Steelers @ Raiders 13 No way the Raiders win back-to-back games
Jets @ Browns 9 Bob vs. Andy ... I have no idea what's going on with either of these teams
Rams @ Chargers 11 What is wrong with the Chargers?  They'll re-prove themselves this weekend
Colts @ Broncos 1 The home field winning streak comes to a close this weekend, as does this "stellar" defense
Cowboys @ Panthers 5 Panthers are going to the Super Bowl (where the Colts will beat them)
Patriots @ Vikings 2 This will be a fantastic game, and I'm mad at Hutch, so I bet against them

Look! A blue moon!! I'm listening to techno music!  Abnormal.

Don't read the next sentence if you haven't watched Lost yet:  Since my NFL picks have been downright horrible lately, I've given several friends bad fantasy and picks tips, and I've pretty much been wrong on every prediction I've had in the last 2 years, I must brag about this one, even though it's pretty obvious.  I called it on October 12th that Jack, Sawyer, and Kate were on another island.  Go read my news if you don't believe me, I even posted my theory as to why in an online forum-type-thing.  I rule.  I didn't realize last week that Desmond could predict the future, although Andy pointed it out to me after the show.  I'm thinking I wasn't alone in missing that since last night they had to further proof he can predict the future.

Today I woke up to our third 6"+ (or is it 6+"?) snowfall this year, and it's still coming down hard.  Horrendous drive to work, took well over an hour, and I left extra early as I've had a package to mail Brent (see "Most Recent DVD Burned" section) sitting in my front seat for the past week.  Obviously the one day I leave early I still can't get to the damn post office in time.  Regardless, I couldn't be more happy to see the mounds of snow we're getting this year, but this shit is wet!!  Not typical for here.  Standard Colorado ... it's supposed to snow a foot or so today, then be in the 60s tomorrow ... so goodbye snow!  I mean wow, Towns, Val & I went into this bar at around 10pm on Friday night and it was nice out, we left at 1 and there was 6" of snow and it was practically a blizzard outside!  So what was Sunday like?  Gorgeous.  I honestly can't believe that was only 5 days ago and it's melted, we've had two 60 degree days, and it's snowed another 6" again.  I love this state!

Fleetmack.com v2 will be giving you a new random thumbnailed picture every time you come to the site, for this reason, the picture of the day has been discontinued as I find it meaningless to manually put up a new one every day when I know it can be automatic.  I'd just put that new php-enabled feature on the pictures page now, but then it wouldn't be new to 2.0!  Almost have RSS finished. (For those of you who don't know what RSS is, it's so you can syndicate my page and I can syndicate news topics from sites I find interesting (see also: Seattle Seahawks).  I am now working on setting up a CSS template and banner system.  Giggidy!

Lots to say, but lots more to do, so that's that.  Adios todos.

Hopefully this song doesn't mean Eli Manning, I don't want that faggot anywhere near me.

Just to clarify, I don't hate people, just disrespect them for their decisions.  So now I will share with you why I strongly disrespect the following people in sports:

Eli Manning:
Selfish.  Tries to draft a team instead of letting one draft him while people like Pat Tillman give up their NFL career to go fight in a war.
John Elway:  Same exact thing as Eli
Adam Haluska:  Not a man of his word.  Signed a letter of intent to play at ISU then left to play for the enemy (out of spite?).  I don't care of the circumstances, you either stick to your word or you are not a man of it.  Period.
Terrell Owens:  As I've said before, I'm done even talking about this guy.
Bill Romanowski: Spits in opponents' faces.  Punches teammates (ending their careers).  Beats up 12-year-old kids.  Does steroids.  Need more?
Denver Broncos organization:  Pay people like Elway and Romanowski who act like this.

Do you realize that Seneca Wallace's first NFL start will be at the same venue that the ISU/FSU game (when Seneca was the starting QB) was at on the same day I last saw Library Jennifer?  There is no reason I should have backed out of going to this game.  Man I need to re-meet that girl!

Crossed a major hump in the fleetmack 2.0 development last night.  This new site is really going to be amazing from my perspective.  The ideas contained within are true programming and web design elements, as opposed to this current garbage HTML/JavaScript site I have with a few PHP elements.  The new site will contain RSS/XML, so much PHP you won't know what to do with it, and up to 7 online databases.  It'll be much easier to maintain, and the picture gallery will be immense (and will contain most every picture I've taken since I was 15).

I have no idea what I'm doing any more, but here's your Week 7 fleetmack.com Power Rankings:

1. Bye week, no change 9.    Eli is really really gay 17. Huard? Really? 25. Improving weekly
2. Please destroy Denver 10. Running attack?! 18. Romo=Uh oh 26. Dismal
3. No offense yet? 11. #20 next week I bet 19. No idea 27. AMAZING win!!!
4. Challenge next week 12. Big Ben's hurt 20. 62 yard FG?! 28. Jennings out, humph
5. WTF?! 13. Maybe I overrated them 21. Hit or miss 29. Horrible
6. Running on emotion 14. Ronde Barber #1 receiver 22. 2-14 30. Terrible
7. Still playing strong 15. Nice recoup victory 23. Injury plagued 31.  Who cares
8. Vick can throw?! 16. Hopeful QB Controversy 24. Rookies Everywhere 32. Denny=Unemployed

What the hell was that yesterday?!  I'm not even talking about the Seahawks, I think I somehow got -3 games correct in my picks.

Seattle lost Hasselbeck yesterday.  I can't even read those words without it scaring the shit out of me.  Don't get me wrong, I've wanted to see Seneca play for years now, but at the expense of losing our Pro Bowl rock star QB, that's not something I want at all.  In an ideal world, Hasselbeck is our QB and Seneca is a rock star special teams player & receiver.

Very pissed about this Hasselbeck thing, man that hurts.  Damn.  Damn.

Friday is here, and not a day too soon.  But what day is ever here a day too soon?  If days arrived early, that'd severely fuck up calendars worldwide.  Think of the paper we'd waste.

Tonight = Gov's (eventually), tomorrow = who f'n knows (snowboarding? running? web design? no idea, playin' it by ear I've decided).  Sunday = football.  Pretty standard stuff.

Hell of a catch last night in that Mets game, eh?  Was rootin' for the Mets, but was good to see that money-hungry Beltran strike out to lose the game.  Guess I'm cheerin' for the Tigers now, go AL!  I'm predicting Tigers in 4.

Here's my NFL picks (with no spread) for the weekend, winning team in bold, my point wager next to it, and short explanation next to that

Panthers @ Bengals 2 Carolina is 4-0 with Steve Smith, Bengals are slipping
Lions @ Jets 5 Lions are a worse team, it's that simple, but Pennington is hit-or-miss
Packers @ Dolphins 6 When in doubt, pick the home team
Jaguars @ Texans 11 Jaguars are in the top 5 teams in the NFL, Texans are the 2nd worst.  You figure it out.
Patriots @ Bills 12 This'll be closer than you think
Eagles @ Buccaneers 8 I think the Eagles come back strong here, but an upset wouldn't shock me that much.  Ok, yes it would
Steelers @ Falcons 4 I have no idea how to predict what Vick is or isn't going to do
Chargers @ Chiefs 10 Chargers are awesome, Chiefs are only a force at home in December
Broncos @ Browns 7 I'm pullin' for the Browns and think they can win, but they have awful karma lately
Cardinals @ Raiders 1 If you're going to win a game, your best shot is against a team who blew a 20 point lead in the 4th quarter last week ... and they're at home.
Vikings @ Seahawks 13 Until someone beats them in Seattle, I'm not betting against the Seahawks at home
Redskins @ Colts 9 Colts are tough to beat at home as well
Giants @ Cowboys 3 Game of the week right here, do I cheer for Eli Manning or T.O.?  The decision is obvious, I'll go to the gym Monday night instead.

I had another music moment this morning.  Henry Rollins has always intrigued me.  I've always thought Liar was a song about a time in my life (where I'm absolutely NOT the singer!) ... and I've always thought I may have unknowingly written Slipknot's Iowa as the lyrics are exactly the way my brain works.  I've just realized that those two songs are coupled so well together with my past, they pretty much just describe the way I feel I'm treated and the way I react to that, reverse-respectively (yes, that's a word in my dictionary).  Yup, realized this at 7am today.  This is the way my mind works.

Acid is something I've never done nor ever intend to do, but if I were to imagine what it would be like, I'd guess it's insanely similar to last night's episode of Lost.  I think it was the 17th consecutive episode I've seen which ended with me saying the words, "What the fuck?!" out loud with a puzzled look on my face.

Serious fantasy team changes are being made, and it's almost a "Tiger Woods Switching His Swing" move.  You know the kind of move I speak of, where everything is already great but you're making changes to try to improve it.  Nate Burleson and Michael Clayton have both been dropped in favor of the NYJ defense (Bears are on BYE) and Greg Jennings.  Burleson has been a severe disappointment to my team for the second year in a row.  Look for him to have a three TD game against his former team this weekend just to spite me.

I'm beginning to think you're only allowed to own a 4-door Jeep Wrangler if you permanently have two surfboards jimmied to the top of it and leave the doors open at all times.

I received a lovely treat this morning in the form of reading.  I didn't sleep much last night so got up around 5am to read this morning.  Pretty much finished off my advanced copy of No Shortcuts to the Top.  While reading the epilogue, I learned that Ed Viesturs was a pre-season inspirational speaker for the Seattle Seahawks.  Also, he got to raise the "12th Man Flag" ... twice!  Even more awesome, he was given the game ball from the NFC West clinching game.  Now after reading a phenomenal book, about an amazing man completing a mountain climbing goal (one of my favorite hobbies), the epilogue basically tells me he's a VIP in the Seahawks community?!  How fricking awesome is this guy?!  I can't wait to meet him on November 8th! (There's also a quote from Tim Ruskell and Mike Holmgren on that link)

Weekend plans?  I'm torn in a decision of whether I should go to A-Basin to snowboard or not.  There's really only one run open, and the lift line will be awful ... but it's only an hour drive and how cool would it be to snowboard in mid-October to kick off the season, even if just for 2 or 3 runs?  I'd really like to do a ton of work on the new site, and I need a good lifting session on my legs, and a 7 mile run this weekend (I have a secret new running goal, per the No Shortcuts to the Top book).  Taking a day to snowboard (while watching NFL the entire day on Sunday) would be next to impossible.  Perhaps I will go to bed early on Friday, be at A-Basin by 8, ride the board until 10, get to the gym by 11:30, come to the office by 1, work on the site for 4 hours, go for a run, go home and nap, hit the bars for awhile (gotta be social!), then hit the hay.  Man that'd be a long day ... but fuck it, now that I re-read that, that would kick ass to say I did that all in one day.  Maybe I could hit up the driving range too just to say I snowboarded and golfed on the same day.  Why do I keep myself this damn busy?  Oh yeah, to keep reality off my mind.

In Pulp Fiction, Mrs. Mia Wallace at one point says something to the extent of, "Don't you love it when you come back to your table and your meal is waiting for you?".  I finally discovered the Bryan Mack equivalent of this statement.  "Don't you love it when you come back to your desk after being gone for awhile and Monster Magnet's Space Lord is playing?"   Wow, I love this song.  I'm still astonished that they used it in Talladega Nights.  This is easily a Top 10 song of all time.

Ever wonder how to update & customize an Advanced Guestbook v2 MySQL database on fleetmack.com?  I'm sure this has baffled you for eons.  Well, this is how (after doing this 20 times and forgetting one thing or another, I actually wrote instructions when I did it last night):

Upgrade from Advanced Guestbook 2.4.1 to 2.4.2:
1) Obtain source code for new version
2) Rename current MySQL guestbook database to 'guestbook2' via PHPMyAdmin
3) Dump the book_data & book_private tables (data only) to .sql files
4) Copy guestbook folder from ftp server over to local machine (for backup reasons)
5) Rename active guestbook folder to 'guestbook2'
5) upload new extracted guestbook folder (2.4.2) as 'guestbook'
6) run install file located in the root of the 2.4.2 directory (set variables)
    -db_name = guestbook
    -host        = localhost
    -user        = root
    -pswd      =mymasterpassword
    -click "Create new DB"
7) Edit admin/config.inc.php file so that $GB-DB["pass"] = mymasterpassword; (also set your admin username/password here)
8) Insert customized logo (/img/gbook.gif)
9) Edit logo size in /templates/body.php   ... add hyperlink to logo (remember to use border="0" in the IMG SRC or it'll look gay)
10) Copy 'public' folder from local machine ('guestbook2' folder) to ftp 'guestbook' folder
11) Ensure # of fields in the .sql dump files matches the number of fields in the new book_data & book_private tables of 2.4.2 (it won't)
12) Edit .sql file accordingly to match # of fields, and ensure the fields are in the correct CSV sequence
13) Import .sql file via PHPMyAdmin into newly-created 'guestbook' database
14) Remove "sign the guestbook" logo ---> located templates/body.php
15) Edit background color (#C0C0C0) and table header background (#808080)
16) Edit languages/english.php file to my liking
17) Delete old folder & drop old database after you ensure everything works

It's snowing outside.  18" are forecast in the mountains today.  That being said, I'm pretty sure you can call me clinically insane if I'm not at A-Basin sometime this weekend.

DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA Bears da Bears da Bears da Bears da Bears da Bears da Bears!

How funny was that game last night?  I don't understand what in the hell I was doing cheering for the Bears, I guess I just really want to see Orlando Huff and Chike Okeafer suffer, and I don't want Leinart to be worth a crap in the NFL.  Why?  Simple:  NFC WEST!  But at the same time, shouldn't I want da Bearsss to lose so the Seahawks have a better chance at home field advantage in the playoffs?  Rex nad his six turnovers sure fucked up my fantasy team last night.  The D was on their way to destroying me, but then they got 3 TD's so that helped.  Ah well, the K-F-Sea-Chickens are now 5-1, nobody's perfect.

Weekend was a good one, chilled at Adrian's pad in the Springs, and as he said, the weekend could be summarized in three words [which really weren't three words]: "Wheat Thins, Throwing Dice, Victory."  I swear, if I ever go to his place again I'm bringing some Bayer with me.  I almost had a heart attack last year during that OT game against the Giants when Feely missed three FG's as potential game winners.  I honestly wasn't that nervous about the game Sunday until there was the potential 10-second runoff with 4 seconds left to play, other than that, I was honestly very calm and had the utmost confidence in my boys.

Here's the Week 6 fleetmack.com Power Rankings:

1. MNF = WOW! 9.  Underrated (by me) 17. Week 7 loss 25. So is Alex
2. AFC's Bears 10.Top 5 in 2 weeks? 18. Breaks are over 26. Finally
3. Resembling '04 Pats 11. Trouble Brewing 19. Awful Week 6 27. HAHAHAHAHAHA!
4. Pathetic Offense 12. TO Returns 20. Hit or Miss 28. Retire, Brett
5. Tougher than you think 13. Hair Tackles rule 21. No idea 29. Losman is a QB?!
6. Division is theirs 14. Prevent D=Good Eli 22. TGFP (again) 30. Terrible, just terrible
7. '05 Hawks Returning 15. Slippin' 23. Watch out Donkeys 31. No O line yet?
8. Impressive 16. Fallin' 24. Young is for real 32. ISU vs. Raiders = ISU

I'm done putting up the Jason Voorhees picture and "chee chee chee chee, ha ha ha ha" sound effect on every Friday the 13th .... deal with it.

The quote of the day today is epic, I can't express how awesome it is.  I love Wilson.

Downtown (aka, Giggz, Tavern, Gov's Park) = cool.  Club Vinyl = the antichrist of all bars  How did I get coaxed into that one?!  I was perfectly happy at Giggz and Chapultapec, but we had to go to Vinyl at like midnight ... were I wasn't in the minority because I was one of 3 white people there, I was in the minority because I was the only male in the bar not wearing sunglasses.  That's right up there with the "Pink Shirt & Collar Up" trend for most ridiculous fashion statement ever. (We got in a fight last night because I made Aja go up to a guy with a pink shirt/collar up, put his collar down, call him a fag, and tell him he looked ridiculous, it rocked, I thought we were going to die.)  I hate clubs, there are so many things wrong with them, I just wouldn't be able to express my vast amounts of hatred for them in words, so we'll just leave it at that.  At least Aja also hated the place, so we were miserable together.

Heading down to the Springs tomorrow to hang at Z's pad ... play some poker & watch the Seahawks make some Torry Holt Casserole with a side of Ram sauce.

Holy                shit.  That is the gayest thing I've written in my entire life.

On that note, have a splendid weekend.  Eat lots of sauerkraut, shoot a dog or two, and, well, just shoot another couple of dogs.  It'll make the world a better place.  I'll run one over on the way home from work tonight.  Seriously.

Does anyone have the most recent version of Dreamweaver?  If so, I'd love a pirated copy.

Tonight I believe we're going back to the old school ... Thursday nights at the Giggling Grizzly.  The excitement is abundant.  It's honestly been, well, over three years since I've hit up Giggz on a Thursday night ... with Aja nonetheless!  I can hardly contain myself!

Sorry for the lack of updates lately.  I am busy, but also, with the development of fleetmack.com 2.0, I've realized how pathetic this site is, the new one is going to kick so much ass it'll make you forget MySpace ever existed ... prepare to become re-addicted!!

Went out and watched the game last night, Aja is in town so I met up with her at Potts.  Tonight I'm going to chill at home and do some reading and web design, fleetmack.com 2.0 is coming along nicely -- when I get this RSS stuff figured out (right now I'm struggling with it pretty hardcore) I'll be in good shape.  The biggest part/problem is getting all my picturepages converted and captioning everything so that when it appears as a random image, the caption will make sense.  You can continuously view the progress of fleetmack.com 2.0 here.

It's looking like tomorrow will be NFL picks night, Thursday I'm going downtown to Giggz with Aja, just like old times! Friday I'll chill at home and read/web design, Saturday I'm going down to the Springs and playing poker with Adrian and his buddies, then Sunday I'll spend my annual day in the Springs watching football (2 years ago it was at Ryan's cousin's house, last year and this year will be at Z's place).

My weekend played out precisely how I stated it would on Friday.  I read and did some design work Friday night.  Saturday I was up very early and did all my laundry, cleaned up a bunch of stuff, read for awhile, went shopping, went to the gym, fixed my bike, disposed of my oil, etc. etc.  I was done with all of this by 1pm.  I watched the ISU/Nebraska game ... man, the officiating in that game was very reminiscent of the Super Bowl.  His feet were down.  He was forced out.  There was no pass interference.  I was utterly shocked at each of these calls.  Wow, that was just terrible.

Sunday I did the Race for the Cure (with 65K other people, biggest race in the country!) and watched football all day.  Came up with an outstanding idea while watching football this weekend ... during the afternoon games, we put The Big Lebowski on one of the TVs so when nothing interesting was going on we could watch that.  Wow, amazing idea.

I was bored last night, so I threw together the fleetmack.com power rankings, if I feel up to it I may continue doing this ... we'll see.  Regardless, here's my current NFL power rankings and a 3-word-or-less thought of the team:

1. Unstoppable 9.  Awful in Chicago 17. S-Jack rocks 25. Overrated

Last night recap:  Went home, ate, read, went to do NFL picks with Duane and Keith, came home, went to bed early.  I've said it several times, you should be jealous of my thrilling life.

The Avs weren't even on a main TV at Old C's last night when I was filling out my NFL picks (they had on the FSU game and baseball playoffs), so I'm thinking I'm not alone in the "losing interest" fan sector.

Here's how exciting today is.  Went to gym, went to work, will go home and eat, will read & play on computer for awhile (designing fleetmack.com new version), and go to bed.  Tomorrow I will wake up, go to the gym, watch the Cyclones on TV, read, and go to bed.  Sunday I will run the Race for the Cure, watch football, and go to bed.  This is almost as thrilling as Snakes on a Plane.  I really need snowboarding season to get here fast, I'm bored out of my gord.

Gas prices are getting lower ... down to like $2.35 here for the 85 octane junk I use ... however, much cheaper than the $2.90 I was paying 3 weeks ago.  So I must question whether or not this is a Republican conspiracy due to the elections.  I'm leaning towards "no", but holy shit is there a truckload of evidence supporting this hypothesis or what?  I'm trying to be open-minded about the Republicans any more, but wow, the amount of evidence I've read over the past few days is absurd ... I'm sure I'll develop a final opinion sometime in the very near future.

Have a splendid weekend.

Lost ...  I have 2 words to describe last night's episode:
1)  Huh?
2)  What?
Needless to say, I can't wait until next week, when I'll be recording it and watching it without the commercial break they placed in the show every 4 minutes.

Rumor has it the Avs lost last night, but I honestly haven't checked the box score and didn't see one minute of the game.  Humph.  I really am not trying to not watch it, it's just that getting rid of Blake, Hintoe, and most importantly - Tanguay - it's hard for me to cheer right now.  Tanguay was my favorite player on our team (since Forsberg left).  I guess it could be Sakic's last year, so I should cheer for him while I can.  I've always really liked Hejduk.  Liles, Svatos, and Wolski are pretty hard to dislike ... maybe I just need to go to a game to get excited about it again.  I hope so, it's either that or go back to watching basketball for the winter ........................... ok, I just convinced myself, I'll start watching hockey again tonight.  Nothing can be as bad as watching the Nuggets or other NBA garbage, can it?   GO AVS!!!

Weekend plans are looking dismal at best, I'm quite broke so will lay low.  I'd like to complete my Regis application, and I'm running in the Race for the Cure on Sunday morning.  Other than that, wow ... gym maybe?  Work on the new fleetmack.com maybe? (I'm currently stuck on that, can't figure out this RSS garbage that I need up and running).  Read my new book?

Busy (holy shit, haven't archived in like 4 days!) ...

Avs play tonight, who cares ... we traded Tanguay and lost Hinote and Foote ... this season is one I'm not looking forward to at all ... so instead of watching that tonight, I'll be watching the season premire of Lost!  Adios.

I'm getting damn sick of these worthless pukes who feel the need to come into schools and molest little girls before taking their lives, and his own life.  Do I have a solution?  No, but if I had the opportunity to give my own life to see that:
A) These girls weren't harmed
B) The man who did things like this got justice and had to face the families and friends of his victims

... well, I'd do that in a heartbeat.  This makes me want to puke it's so disturbing.

Beer Fest ... yes, it is still the coolest thing you can possibly do in Colorado ... pictures do it no justice, but I put them up anyways... (they're at the end of that album)

I couldn't have been more wrong.  My hat is off to the Bears.  I didn't see that coming at all.  Hasselbeck played as poorly as I've ever seen him play.   I can't recall seeing the Bears make a single mistake last night.  That was hard to watch, but I suppose if we have to lose one game this year, I can't be upset that it was on the road against the Bears.  Hopefully this will be a learning and humbling experience for the Hawks.  We have the BYE week followed by a tester at the Greatest Show on Turf, which is always a dangerous place to play, hopefully we can pull that off and get back to Qwest Field with a 4-1 record.  Anyways, again, nice work Bears, you thoroughly impressed me.

I am blatently shocked that I am likely going to win at fantasy football again this week and be the only 4-0 team in the Trophy League.  How did that happen?!

Fantasy baseball is over.  I placed second in my Iowa league (rotisserie), and first in my NYC league (H2H).  I am shocked, but I cannot, just cannot give Albert Pujols my MVP award this year.  He had the most under-rated stat I've ever seen this year, which is so impressive it's sickening ... Mr. Pujols cracked out 49 home runs this season and struck out only 50 times.  WOW!!! That is flat-out amazing, amazing.  Regardless of Albert's insane season, I have to give the MVP award to Jose Reyes, what a player!  194 hits.  122 runs scored. 17 triples. 19 home runs.   64 stolen bases. .300 batting average.  I need to give credit to my entire roster though, they all did their parts.  (they are in italics if I didn't draft them, they are bold if I cut them before the season was over (injuries))

C: A.J. Pierzynski
1B: Albert Pujols
2B: Chone Figgins
3B: Hank Blaylock & Scott Rolen
SS: Jose Reyes
OF: Juan Pierre, Torii Hunter, Bobby Abreu, Eric Byrnes, Alex Rios, Jason Bay
SP: Greg Maddux, Kevin Millwood, Jared Weaver, Vincente Padilla, Mark Bueherle
RP: Bob Wickman, Billy Wagner, Jonathan Papelbon, Joel Zumaya, Keith Foulke, Jose Mesa, and (very briefly) Scott Proctor

So yes, a very large thank you to my fantasy baseball players.  Too bad we don't have a trophy for that league ;-)

I met one of the most intriguing people ever last night at the bar.  Colby was talking to her for awhile and then I took the driver's seat after he left.  She will be inspiring a new "My Mind" writing sometime this week as I'm almost positive she opened my eyes to something new.  Too bad she's taken, because she was hot as hell, she almost set the bar on fire with her sexy shirt and smokin' body.  Who knew she'd actually be intelligent?!
