I'm in a pissy mood today, fuck off.  I ran like a fucking one-legged sloth, work is pissing me off today, I'm sunburnt to a crisp, and I couldn't be more pissed off about how I fucking ran yesterday.  Fuck off.

Whassup, TGIF ... what a slow week.  I can't wait until this weekend is over ... I mean, I'm looking forward to it, but after this weekend I have nothing to worry about.  No serious running, money issues will be over, summer will be in full effect, it'll be nice.  But we all know me, I'll have to challenge myself.  I think I'm doing another 1/2 marathon in August and will likely get my marathon out of the way in either October (Chicago) or December (Vegas) ... but that all depends on how I do on Monday.  Yikes.  Pic of the day is me running when I was a little 7 year old kid in 1st grade in Catholic school, enjoy.

What are you doing this Memorial Day?  I'm thankful for no weddings this year, but I have officially decided that I will never go to a Memorial Day weekend wedding again unless it's in Colorado (assuming I'm living in Colorado).  In fact, I'm going to be cutting my wedding participation down to about 10% unless it's somewhere other than Iowa.   My vacation time will now be used going to places I want to go that I haven't already spent 22 years in.  Also -- it's now officially an either/or (if that) ... meaning ... if your bachelor party and wedding are both in Iowa ... no matter who you are ... the maximum amount of things I will go to in Iowa one.   Mule did it the right way, bachelor party in Minneapolis, wedding in Iowa.   Buck is doing the wedding in Hawaii -- nice work.  Sure - throw a bachelor party in Vegas ... I'm there.  Then I'll go to the wedding too.  Do you realize it now costs me $150 just to drive to Iowa and back now?  That figure was only about $70 3 years ago ... on top of what I spend when I'm at an event like this?  It's cheaper for me to go to Vegas!!  Anyways, that's that.  That's just notification, I'm not bitter ( I don't think )

Random Thoughts VII is done, but I think I'll wait a week or so.  It's shitty, as usual, so don't look forward to it ... I doubt anyone reads any of the shit I put up anyways.

So this weekend ... hmmm.  Tonight I'm going with Bob to get my bed set, put it together, then chill out at home.  Jess might join me I think.  Tomorrow will entail pool-sitting-by and that's about it, anyone is free to join me.  We can grill.   Sunday will entail church and pool-sitting-by, anyone is free to join me.  We can grill.  Monday will entail me running a 10K starting in Boulder at 7:05a.m., then back to the pool to grill and .... finally ... BEER!!  Oh man that's overdue!   Anyone is free to join me, we can grill.  Be safe this weekend peoples.   If you need some good pool-sitting-by music ... here's a good tune for you, as it's getting kicked off this weekend!

After playing poker for well over 3 hours last night, all 3 of us threw in about $14 bets... and all 3 of us had full houses.  What's the chances of that?   Anyways, I ended up splitting the pot as I was sick of playing and walked away with $40, yup - certainly did.  I'll put the money towards more blank DVD's I suppose :)   I don't know when I'm ever going to watchin 80% of these damn things, oh well, they're nice to have.

Am I the only one who hysterically laughs when I hear of a severe motorcycle accident involving some guy without a helmet?  I don't feel the least bit sorry for them, and if I hit one in my car, I wouldn't feel the least bit guilty if they died.  First Kellen Winslow, now every person in the morning traffic news in Denver.   I just don't get why anyone would ride one without a helmet ... ever ... even 10 feet.  They're just flat-out gay anyways.  Plus my dipshit neighbors just bought crotch rockets and were up until 1am driving them up and down the street last night.   Those things are so damn annoying ... hey I know, it's 1am, let's get a bike up to 60mph just so we have to stop at a stop sign and we keep the whole block awake.   Fuckers, I swear to you I will tip those damn things over some night if they do that again.

They play this song entirely too much on the radio, it's getting ridiculous.  The only reason I've been listening to the radio at work lately is for sheer hope I win $1000 ... they announce 4 names a day.  I'm such a sucker for contests.

Goodbye.

Hear me now and listen to me later ... anyone, anyone who watches American Idol tonight loses 100 points off the cool scale permanently.  There's only 107 total possible points on the cool scale.  You lose 1 per artist for liking Dave Matthews, John Mayer, Jack Johnson, The Cranberries, or Linkin Park ... but you lose 100 points for watching American Idol.  I'll forgive you if you've watched it in the past, but you can't watch tonight... or TiVo it tonight, or record it tonight on VCR - you can never watch it.  Ever.  If so, you are the biggest frickin' dork ever with a whopping 7 possible points out of 107 on the cool scale.  And trust me, there's lots of ways to lose those 7 points (for example, you lose 1.37 points for simply saying that you prefer the taste of Michelob Ultra to that of Budweiser.  Cheering for the Yankees, Rams, or Broncos costs you 1.23 points each).  So losing 100 cool points would be a striking blow to your popularity and likability.  I hope you take this to heart.  Please stay somewhat cool, don't give into the urge to be a fag tonight.  Just buy Chappelle's Show Season 2 and watch it, or turn on MXC.  I'd recommend outside things, but it dropped from 90 degrees to like 40 degrees today, so today is an "inside day".

Oh - quick proof that Oprah sucks.  She (along with ugly girls .... Katie Holmes ... that the media tells us are hot) turn even VERY cool guys into absolute pussy-fags.   Seriously, Tom Cruise is cool as shit and has one of the hottest women (Nicole Kidman) on Earth ... so what's he do?  Divorces her, starts taking in this L. Ron Hubbard shit (which, along with Darwin stickers on cars are an automatic 107 point deduction from the cool scale), and picks up an ugly girlfriend.  What the fuck happened to him?!

Now that I got that out of the way -- yesterday's movies burned were Beavis and Butthead Do America and Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare.  I'm a little upset as every movie I have left on my list is rented out and hasn't been there for quite some time.  Simpsons Season 4, A Nightmare on Elm Street 3 and 4, and Menace II Society.  So tonight I'll have to go with Mars Attacks and I guess I'll start burning the Friday the 13th series.  I can't come up with anything better.  I'm saving all the old-school 007's for when I switch to Blockbuster-by-mail when I get my new burner.  Yup yup, it's teddy.

And in other news, I'm going to be filmed for a special for the Discovery Channel in early July, just got the official news this morning from a producer in Australia, should be pretty cool.  I'm going to limit details on this until it happens.  Adios.

Tuesday is certainly here, without much else exciting going on.  I ran (3) 7 Minute miles yesterday, today I'm going to try to do 4, I bet I can do it.   I really hope Monday is a "good" running day, some days I just can't do it ... I need Monday to not be one of those days.

Tomorrow is the one-year anniversary of the release of the greatest album in music history, celebrate!  I still haven't bought the new SOAD cd yet, I really need to get on that, probably will next week.  Laetitia is wrapping up her best gas tank since moving to Colorado.  I'm at 422 miles right now... which is about 28.1 mpg and it's all city driving.  Nice work for 85 octane gas, while doing city driving in a mountain town.  This car ages like wine.  And we're just over a month away from her getting a brand spankin' new windshield, and the new moonroof chipset is in route ... giggidy.  She got new belts a few months ago, and a new muffler.  Runnin' like a dream with a mere 185K miles on her, man I love that car.

I obviously don't have much to say today, yup.

Want to help my sister, Cori?  She will be very very happy with you.

Had a great weekend, Friday I burned DVD's, Jess and I had pizza and watched a movie, and I fell asleep on my couch.  Saturday I went and looked at some houses up in Erie to try to get free golf balls (don't ask), then I went and looked at (and eventually bought) a new bed frame/mirror set that was on sale, then I burned a bunch more DVD's, sat by the pool for awhile, and then Jess & I went to Chris & Beth's going away party.   Sunday I bought the above bed set, burned 6 more DVD's (man I love this blockbuster pass - I'm over 70 movies burned that cost me $14.99 for the membership!), scanned an entire photo album, and did some room-cleaning.  DVD's I burned this weekend include but are not limited to:

National Lampoon's Vacation
National Lampoon's European Vacation
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
National Lampoon's Vegas Vacation
The Crow
Nightmare on Elm Street 2
40 Days and 40 Nights
What's Eating Gilbert Grape
Boogie Nights
Jerry Maguire
E.T. - The Extra Terrestrial
Airplane II: The Sequel

Anyways - I have 6 days left on my Blockbuster pass, so that means I have about 20 movies left to get.  I need the rest of the Nightmare on Elm Streets (4), Simpsons Season 4 (4), Menace II Society (if someone ever returns it), Mars Attacks, American Pie trilogy, Austin Powers trilogy, and maybe the Friday the 13th series?   That'll put me at about 90 movies burned in one month for a whopping $14.99 -- giggidy!  Then I might get the mail-order pass for a month and get all the 007 movies or something, then I should be good to go.  Man DVD burners are the shit.  Total cost for the burner, all the DVD's I've bought, and all rental fees has been approximately $200 ... and I've got about 150 DVD's burned for me, along with about 15 I gave to Jess, and a few scattered others I've given to other people.  We're right at $1 per DVD.

7 days until the Bolder Boulder... I'm very worried that I may not meet my goal.   And it will be from a lack of training by myself.  We'll see what happens, just a week to go.  I'm going to run hard for 4 days then not run on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday ... we'll see what happens.  Adios.

First and foremost - holy shit - I can't believe Marissa shot Trey!   I wonder if he's dead?  I'm not so sure that Jimmy should get back together with Julie.  Summer is still hot.  And seriously, would any high school girl shoot a gun in public to make a $7,500 drug deal when she lives in one of the richest cities on Earth?  Where did this girl come from?  Yeah, I bet some high school yuppie girl is the biggest drug dealer in Orange County.  That story line is dumb.   And really, Caleb's illigetimate daughter didn't come back for his funeral?   What the hell is wrong with this picture?   Anyways, on to bigger and better...

WOO HOO!! 90 DEGREE DAYS HAVE ARRIVED!! Giggidy, giggidy, giggidy.

I went to Star Wars III last night ... no more new Star Wars for me ever :o(  Here let me spoil it for you.  Anakin turns into Darth Vader and Padme gives birth to twins ... she names them Luke and Leia.  Hope you still want to see it after I completely ruined it for you.

The movie was pretty cool.  Lots of light sabers which is good, not enough wookies though.  Seriously, I was expecting much more in the wookie department.  And one last thing... thank you Mr. Lucas for not giving Jar Jar any lines.  Thank you.

This weekend will involve no money, burning DVDs, saying adios to Chris & Beth, and stiting by the pool.  New MP3 is finally up....

I want to go to Star Wars tonight, certainly do.  The "Mudvayne - Happy" count (how many times I hear the song on the radio) is at 2 already today, and it's only 8:48am.
Update:  11:35am -- we're only at 4 times today so far, something must be wrong in clear channel-ville
Update:  2:38p.m. -- we're currently at 6 times of Mudvayne since 6:00a.m. -- not too bad today compared to yesterday.

It's in the mid-80's today with possible 90's this weekend, POOL TIME!! Chris & Beth's going away thing is this weekend, that sucks they're moving.   Let's run down the tally list of casualties (those who left Colorado to go back to Iowa):

Tom
Tim (although he came back)
Katie
Kelly
Maria
Travis
Jeff & Katie
Chris & Beth

I'm sure there's several more I'm forgetting....not to mention when Tami lived with us for awhile, then Joey and Johnny (Katie's cousins) who moved here for a summer then went back to Iowa.  Why does it have such a hold on people?  The ONLY way I'd go back is if I could get a job at the ISU Foundation .... for more pay, as they have the same 403(b) plan as I have now and they start out at 5 weeks of vacation.   I'd be a shoe-in for the job too... an Alum with 3 1/2 years of higher-education fundraising IT work?  Wow, perfection.  Other than that ... absolutely no reason to ever live there.

I'm trying to win a KBP-Ipod today.  If you're the 10th caller to KBPI when they play any Audioslave song all day, you win one.  Neat huh?   blah.

If you were to look outside today, it looks identical to the day that Ferris Bueller took off from school.  I don't know why the hell I'm at work today, it's just beautiful outside. We're looking at possible 90's by this weekend .. and I LOVE the heat.  Funny how all summer long I just look forward to the winter, and in the winter I just look forward to summer.

This morning, somewhere between wishing Jessica a wonderful day and dropping Bob off at the airport, I learned something very important.  If you're using a sonicare toothbrush and you have to sneeze ... there's no way around it, there will be a gigantic mess to clean up ... especially if you use AquaFresh Extreme Clean toothpaste.   Oh man, I pulled the vibrating toothbrush out of my mouth, which made the toothpaste on the brush spray everywhere ... on my face, clothes, mirrors, counter ... everywhere.  Then, because my mouth was a huge ball of foam from the toothpaste, I sneezed, and this just created a bigger mess.  If you ever find yourself in this situation, I recommend making a mad dash for someplace outside where this won't affect you at all.

I've been listening to KBPI at work the last week instead of MP3's .... wow, bad idea.   I never thought I'd say this, but I'm so sick of Duality, BYOB, and Happy that I'm going out of my gord.  I thought the radio played Ozzy and Metallica too much -- but wow, coming from the #1 Slipknot fan you'll ever know, they play entirely too much Slipknot, System of a Down, and Mudvayne.  This is getting ridiculous.   I think it's going to be "Bryan only listens to country music for a month" time here very shortly to make me sane.  I can only take so much (hey, that's a Slipknot lyric!).   Note:  I'm not sick of Slipknot, but I just cannot listen to Duality 15 times a day.  And that's not an exaggeration.   The song that's on right now (Mudvayne - Happy) was on, I kid you not, twelve times yesterday from the time I left my house until I got home around 7, that's just absurd.

Ok, now AC/DC - Big Balls is on the radio.  This has got to be, without a doubt, the only song worse than anything ever created by The Cranberries, Dave Matthews, Jack Johnson, or John Mayer.  What a horrible song.

I fixed the above link as to how to help my sister out ...  sure did.  She'd really appreciate it, have a nice day.

The chicken returns!!! Anyone watch Family Guy last night?   Good stuff, good stuff.

It was a great weekend, Friday night I watched Judgment Night (which is one of about 175 DVD's recently added to my DVD collection).  That movie was much cooler back in 1992 or whenever I watched it first.  Since then I've discovered that Cuba Gooding Jr. and Emilio Estevez are pretty close to homos (Boat Trip? ... seriously).  Anyways, that was Friday night.  Saturday I did some running and running around, cleaned Laetitia out, ripped about 6 DVD's (the burning laser is broken but I'm not going to utilize the warranty (it is covered) until my month long blockbuster membership is up, until then I'm just ripping the movies to my hard drive), went to the Rockies game, then went to the Sports Column.   Yesterday I, hmmm, I'll have to think about this.   I ripped 4 more DVD's (Mallrats, The Naked Gun, From Dusk 'Till Dawn, Donnie Brasco), watched a bunch of baseball games (the fantasy team (The O.C. Watchers) is up to 5th place out of 12 now), then I had to go run 2 miles at the mall on a treadmill to get in a better wave for the Bolder Boulder.  I ran 2 miles in 14 minutes so I'm in wave BB -- meaning, I'm in wave #6 out of like 80 or so waves.... giggidy giggidy giggidy.

That ruled last night when Quagmire was hiding in the bathroom and all you heard was the occasional "Giggidy" .... man I love Quagmire.

SNL was good this weekend, anyone catch it?  Who says you need a Tivo to record shows... I have this device called a "VCR" -- it is cheaper and works perfectly.  Who knew?

Star Wars is this week, along with lots of running ... that's about it!  New MP3 is up, and that's all I've got to say about that.

Wow I bet you didn't expect me to post that picture today didja?   (note: extreme sarcasm).  I was going to just post a letter I wrote today for the news, but a new topic popped into my mind...

Today is commencement on campus.  It's kind of like the "welcome-to-summer" feeling for me.  The grass is green, birds are chirping, people everywhere on campus, all happy ... and most importantly... SUN DRESSES!!! (ohhh the girl in black, nice like ... oooooooo) Oh man I love sun dresses.  Pretty much any girl can look like a 10 if she puts on a sun dress.  I'm a complete sucker for 'em.  If you're wearing a sun dress and have nice dark hair, rest assured I'll likely pounce on you.  I just want to sit on campus all day and watch sun dresses.

Would YOU give me a new phone for this?  Every word is true, FYI

"I like rear-end Rita and I can't deny, giving me the locker room traffic live, roll it out rear-end Rita....traffic."   Sorry, singing along to the radio.

I'm in 8th place (out of 12) in Fantasy baseball... mind you that's with Curt Schilling, Sammy Sosa, Magglio Ordonez, and Guillermo Mota all on the DL.  That's 2 star outfielders, a star pitcher, and the closer for one of the most winning teams in baseball.  I will be in good shape by the all-star game, guaranteed.

I think my dvd burner broke, I've burned about 160 in the last 2 months and it had only failed about 3 times.  Last night it failed 6 consecutive discs with 3 separate softwares, even re-installed the burner and the software, still a no-go.  Shit.   It will rip them fine, so I figure I'll try to get a new one on warranty (doubt I can) and then just rip them in the meantime and store the ISO's on an IDE drive, not a bad plan, eh?  Can't afford a new one for awhile, I'm livng May as a broke man -- no spending money for Bryan this May... period.

Anyways, have a great weekend, adios todos.

So I need to take a safety lesson before I can get my CCW permit, I did not know that.  So that costs $100 then the permit itself costs $150 -- looks like it'll be mid-summer before I can fully re-apply, but I'll get it.  Until then, rest assured I take lots of pride in living in Colorado when it comes to written statues like this.  Unfortunately Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, nor Missouri are reciprocal states so these laws only apply to me in Colorado... and if you're not a Colorado resident and you visit here, you can't go by these laws either.  But since I'm a resident, I get some sweet ass laws, I was not aware of these:

Colorado law allows a person to carry a firearm in a vehicle, loaded or unloaded, if its use is for lawful protection of such a person or another's person or property. [C.R.S. 18-12-105 {2}]. Colorado law allows a person to possess a handgun in a dwelling, place of business, or automobile.  Local jurisdictions may not enact laws that restrict a person's ability to travel with a weapon

A permit is not required and a handgun is not considered concealed when a person is in a private automobile or other private transportation. [C.R.S. 18-12-105 (2)]

State law prohibits local governments from enacting sensible gun laws, even though the state's gun laws are weak and make it easy for criminals and children to get guns. In 2003, the state preempted local laws and overturned existing local laws in several cities, some of those cities are pursuing legal action to reinstate the local laws.

While it is generally illegal for CCW permit holders to carry guns around schools, they are allowed to carry loaded, hidden handguns onto school premises when they are picking up or dropping off students, as long as the firearm is not taken out of the car. Parents should know that loaded handguns may be legally brought onto school grounds by people with concealed carry permits.

So yes, when it comes to gun laws... consider Bryan Mack a Republican.  In all other areas, I think I'll stick to the Democratic side of things.

The absense of common sense in people is driving me up the wall lately.   I don't perceive myself as being that smart, and I make wrong choices a lot, but some of the shit people do, even when it causes harm to other people (usually themselves), just makes me sit back and laugh.  I really wish everyone just lived life the exact way I do because this world would be much better.  Sure, that's cocky, I don't give a shit.

Kellen "I'm a fucking soldier" Winslow Jr..  Dipshit.   I've never liked this guy, complete idiot.  From saying on national TV "I'm a fucking soldier!"  NO YOU AREN'T!! YOU PLAY FOOTBALL!! Do you know how many other people can play football?!  Millions, you're just an idiot.  You ride a motorcycle (in my opinion that's not the best choice to begin with, but that's just me) then you don't even strap your helmet on!! You just had a learner's permit, never took a lesson on how to ride, you were trying dumb tricks, and now you sit in a hospital with internal injuries and a torn ACL.  You were given a gift of being able to play ball, and you play with the attitude of an 8 year old, then you go and fuck up your dream job by riding a motorcycle with no helmet.  I've gotta be honest, I'm laughing my ass off at the fact that you're in the hospital, you're an idiot.

Idiots running away from their weddings in Georgia causing us tons of money in tax dollars, guys killing their wives and dumping them in landfills and oceans, sex offenders raping and holding captive 10 women in a few days in Denver, little girls in Illinois being stabbed to death (likely) because some horny fuck-up decided to rape them because he can't get any on his own and is somehow attracted to little girls in his fucked up mind .... man this world pisses me off.  What the hell is wrong with you people?!

So I propose to you a plan:  Be like me.  Go to college, have innocent fun, get a good job, save your money for retirement, be nice to everyone you cross paths with (especially if you can't stand them), don't cheat on your girl, don't hurt other people mentally or physically, thank God for all you do, pray for your enemies, play fantasy baseball, cheer for your favorite teams with your friends, laugh at something every chance you get, never be "bored" because there's always something to do, work out so you feel good about yourself, go outside, don't watch American Idol or other completely gay tv shows, set goals that are next to impossible to reach then meet every single one of them.  Be like me, please.   Shit, people piss me off.

Yes, I'm fine - trust me.  I just hate stress and feel like I'm going to have to kill someone before he'll ever wake up to reality. (No, I'm not going to kill Kellen Winslow Jr. ;o) )

What a fast week, I need to be this busy at work every week, it makes the week fly by.  I've decided to make today ultra-productive as well.  Went out for 2 beers (literally) last night.  I need to stop that as my "2 beers" always somehow turns into $20 and it's getting expensive again.  I need to conserve more money.  Good news of yesterday is we found out it's legal to have a grill on our balcony, so I'm going to buy Mike's grill for $50 if he's still offering it for that.

Weekend plans, tonight maybe go to Gov's for a short while, maybe not.   Riki wants to go to Kinetics tomorrow, I'll go but I'm going to be good as I have a date tomorrow night so it'll be a mild Kinetics for a couple of hours this year, nothing too terribly exciting (in other words, it won't be like 2003 there Renze, so don't feel bad ;o) )  Saturday...well, yeah, I already told you.  Sunday Laetitia gets her oil changed and I burn DVD's.  Also, our pool opens this weekend so if it's nice on Sunday, I'll be sitting by it.

Dancing sucks, I detest it -- we all know this.  I don't think it's sexy, I don't think it's hot, and I don't think chicks are attractive when they dance....it's actually quite the opposite as I find it repulsive.  I'm like the Dad on Footloose.  Strippers are naked, that's why that's hot - not because they dance, who cares about that?  Thank God for cheerleaders though, damn that picture is hot...I can handle a still-shot like that.  Damn.

I was in a marketing study last night -- they're making pre-mixed (in a can) vodka/tonic and 7&7's now.  I had a 7&7 from a can last night, quite odd.  They paid me $30 to drink it, not a bad deal.  They paid Jess $10 to drive me (after 1 drink) ... again, not a bad deal!  So we spent all the money we made by going to Red Robin. Giddy up.....oh sorry, can't stop looking at that picture.

I'm busy, got stuff to do.  New pic and MP3 will go up regardless.  I have plans for this site, I really do.

Worst....drive....to.....work......ever.  I literally had my car in park for 43 minutes in the middle lane of the interstate.  Some gasoline tanker leaked shit all over the place, of course I took a picture or two, none turned out really well besides the one above.  And no - I don't have a f**king camera phone, some people just have cameras and phones as separate things.  As noted on the MyTrafficNews site:

Westbound I-70 is CLOSED at Ward Road because of a fuel spill cleanup. A backup starts at Sheridan. The eastbound is slow with curiosity, and I-76 westbound is jammed for more than a mile leading up to the merge with I-70. You can try to take 38th or 32nd as an alternative, but they are packed. Officials are saying it might not be open until 9:30 a.m. at the earliest. -- 9:17:35 AM

So that's my morning, it's been fun.  And yes, I'm very busy, don't have time to update this today.  Tonight I get paid $30 to attend a beer-tasting event, sweet.   Then it's off to eat at Red Robin, giggidy giggidy giggidy.  Speaking of "giggidy giggidy giggidy" -- anyone catch Family Guy the other night?   Ha, good to have it back that's for damn sure!  I seriously have to get to work, I was already an hour late due to that damn traffic jam.

Sorry, I'm entirely too busy for this today.  As you can tell, I haven't even switched my winamp since Friday morning!  Yup, busy
