I was talking to Harry Caray the other day, he said "HEY!! If you had a choice between doing nothing after work tonight, and driving to Colorado Springs during rush hour, which would it be?"  I should have picked the first strictly so Harry could have said, "You made a wise choice, my friend.  I thought you were going to say Springs."   But I chose the second, so instead it took me 3 hours to drive 70 miles.  Ridiculous.  It was for a good cause though so no biggie.   Anyways, that's what I did last night.

It's payday and it's Friday, I suppose those are both good things aren't they?

I want to climb Mt. Antero this weekend, not sure if it's happening yet though.   We'll see.

My team name for fantasy football this year is "The Swamp Donkeys" ... I heard Willie B call a chick that on 'BPI the other day and I thought it was pretty funny, so that's what it shall be.

I bought a boatload of Elitch Gardens tickets today -- 12 of 'em.  They cost $36 at the door ... $26 online, and I got them for $15 .... I've got homes for 8 of them and I figured I could sell the other 4 for $20-$25/ea and make a little bit of cash on the side.   If anyone wants some Elitch tickets I've got 2 for sale (maybe 4, not sure yet) for $22/ea ... I'll take a $7 profit and you'll save at least $5/ticket.  Giggidy giggidy goo.

See ya in August!

OH HELL YES HELL YES HELL YES HELL YES!!! OH THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone got this remix of this song?  I've got the album version but this remix they always play on the radio blows away the original version.

I'm not going to dump my girlfriend for the McDonald's dollar menu.  This could be the most ridiculous commercial I've ever heard.

I watched the finale of Average Joe last night (it was on in HD).  I wish I could have that hour back in my life.  I then tuned into HD anything ... which last night meant the Yankees game.  I hear that ESPN2 will be in HD through DirecTV on September 8th, is there any truth to this?  I'm trying to obtain a waiver from the Denver Channel to allow me to pull in ABC in HD from New York or LA, but apparently they're stingy in Denver.  I'm slowly learning the tricks of the trade with regards to how to pull in HD channels by any means possible.  I think it'll soon be possible for me to get Fox and such through the dish, I'm excited.  Once you go HD   you'll never go back.  This explains why my new favorite non-cartoon show is American Chopper.  I hate hate crotch rockets, harleys, and choppers -- so I don't quite understand why I love this show.  The way those tools ride with no helmets makes me laugh when they wreck.  I just wish when they wreck they'd take out a dog at the same time, 2 birds with one stone.

I don't have any clue what's up this weekend.  I'd like to go up a 14er but the only time I can really go is Saturday I don't know which to do, and I don't want to drive anywhere ... the closest drive to one I haven't done is about 3 hours one-way, so that'll suck up my whole weekend.  I should just do Long's again as it's close, but that's a 15 hour hike.  Who knows, could just be a weekend by the pool, maybe golf or something.... but climbing is very tempting, and I have a party I'm going to Saturday night.

If anyone knows where I can buy The CLUB (yes, a car steering wheel lock) cheeply, I'd like to know.  I'm 100% buying one over the weekend.  A report was released that 3 94-97 accords are being stolen daily in my county for the last month or two.   I have no urge or desire to lose my car, she's still young.

That's all for now, new MP3 is up ... if you've been downloading my MP3's since I started this "mix cd" thing you should have a good collection by now.   Adios.

Slipknot on the radio, warmer than yesterday, good cool night's sleep, laundry done, finally unpacked .... ahhh.

The Big 3 are officially back for 2005-2006 ... Jones/Hasselbeck/Alexander ... all signed.  The dropped-pass drug lord Koren Robinson... cut.  The walking injury Chad Brown ... cut.  Signed:  Kelly Herndon, Andre Dyson, Bryce Fisher, Jamie Sharper, Joe Juerivicus, Jerome Pathon ....  possible signing: Peter Boulware.   The only loss I truly feel will affect our team this year is Chike Okeafor.  Ken Lucas is overrated... well, he is when you already have Dyson, Herndon, and Marcus Trufant.  BRING ON 2005-2006 ....

So after our final free agents are signed, now I just have to worry about the Avs re-signing Forsberg, that's key.  I'd also like Foote to come back just so I can watch Bob get all pissed off at him.

Wow this site sucks lately.

New MP3 is up, and hopefully I'll get some pix of Wil$on from Lebowskifest last weekend in Lousiville, KY.  Looking for some 14ers to climb this weekend ... not sure what's up there for sure yet, though.

I'm back and tired.  Good trip ... good to see you all, new pictures and MP3 are up.  Enjoy and have a good week, back to work now.

Want to be in a golf tournament in the Denver area in September? It's for a good cause -- Gilda's Club .... I don't know if I'm doing it or not yet but the offer is on the table for all.

I'm busy -- out of here until Monday as I'll be in Iowa for Brad & Keri's wedding.   It's 80 degrees outside (see above) and it ain't even 8:00 yet, gonna be a hot one.   Supposed to hit 103 today -- keep checking back on the above weather link to see how hot it gets here ... could be interesting!  Have a great break ... new MP3 is up.

I don't remember doing it, but I'm pretty damn positive I must have written this last night and posted it on SI, as it's my exact thoughts.

Whassup -- got my car fixed last night.  It now purrs like a ... uhm ... little Japanese animal of some sort.  Very quiet, she's also very clean ... hell, with the exception of her demolished windshield, she's really honest-to-God one of the best-kept and most reliable cars on the planet with 187K miles on it.  I'm very excited to drive her about 1500 miles this weekend.  Giggidy giggidy goo.

So I'm leaving tomorrow after work ... might try to cut out of here a bit early, we'll just have to see ... I'll talk to Jess and see when she's getting off - yup, sure will.   We'll be camping near Kearney, NE somewhere tomorrow (choice place, I know) then back in the oven also known as Iowa on early Thursday.  Probably hit the town Thursday night, then stay home Friday night, then hit up the wedding on Saturday, head back to Denver on Sunday.  Really am looking forward to this trip, it'll be my first trip in a long time where I'm driving to Carroll and staying there the whole time.

Nothing new today on the site, I'm pretty busy.  And I'm very hungry for cheetos but the vending machine is still out.  Damn.

Monday, Monday ... short week so no biggie.  Ever wake up in the morning and seriously just have no idea what's going on?  First off I set my alarm for 5:20 last night, yet I woke up at 6:55am on my own .... damn AM/PM switch, shoot.  No gym for me this morning.  Anyways, I wake up, go to the kitchen to get some water, and think "Shit, do I have to go to work today?  Oh dammit, it's Monday."  I honestly had no idea.  That's just a horrible feeling, you get the thought in your mind that you don't have to work and you have a day to waste, then BOOM -- it's Monday, go to work in an hour and do that every day for 5 days.  Luckily in my case, it's only 3 days this week, then back to Iowa.

Had a good weekend, hit up a couple of going-away things on Friday night, climbed 2 14ers on Saturday ... napped ... then went to John's party.  Yesterday Jess & I went to the mall for awhile and I installed a new Exhaust Manifold Gasket on my car.   That's the most difficult thing I've ever done to my car by myself.  Had to pull the heat shield and the exhaust manifold, then climb under the car and disconnect the manifold pipe from the cat converter, and from there it's a breeze.  But I have this one spring-loaded bolt that connects the cat to the pipe (there's 3 of them) .. and I can't get it on for the life of me, so my car still sounds like a moped.  I got 2 of them in, but the 3rd one goes on top and you have to put so much pressure on it to get the bolt back on.  I just took a picture of it (with my camera-phone, oooo) ... here's the boltIf ANYONE has tips on how to put this back in, please email me.  I need to put it back in before I leave for Iowa.  So yeah, doing that myself saved me about $80, literally.  Changed the oil and cleaned the car up too, so she's all ready to go!

Hiking pix are up, new MP3 is up, picture of the day is up, and new Wil$on picture is up.  Wow, been awhile since I've said that last one!  Have a great week.

Paydays are good days, today is a good day.

Just chilled last night, bought some oil and a filter for an oil change, grocery shopped slightly, and did all my laundry and cleaned my room.  It was good to get caught up at home, I haven't been there much at all.  This weekend -- tonight I have 2/3 going-away (from Mines) parties to go to ... one of them is a joint-going-away party so that'll kill 2 birds with one stone.  Then I'm heading home and going to bed early.  Tomorrow it's a bright & early morning as we go to climb Mt. Evans and Mt. Bierstadt via the Sawtooh Ridge route ... it's a pretty cool climb actually.   Evans and Bierstadt are both the easiest climbs (comperable to a green ski slope) ... but we're doing the difficult and more scenic route (blue diamond) ... giggidy giggidy giggidy.  Hope to begin the climb around 6:30 ... be to Bierstadt's summit by 8:30, then hopefully to Evans by nooner ... from there, dunno.  You can drive to the top of Evans (as I've done before) so maybe we could hitchike down, who knows.

After the hike there's 2 parties on Saturday night, probably only going to make it to one of them though, not sure yet ... we'll play it by ear.  Sunday I have to get some shopping done ... change my oil ... install a new exhaust manifold gasket in Laetitia, and then we're all ready to head back to Iowa.... work a few days next week, take of Wednesday after work, drive 1/2 way ... Jess and I are camping Wednesday night in mid-Nebraska somewhere, then Thursday morning we'll drive back to Carroll for the weekend.  Yup -so that's what's up with me.

Looking forward to a wonderful weekend ... hope yours is the same.  New MP3 is up... adios todos.

Happy Thursday, this week is winding down quickly, thankfully.  Went to Old C's last night for awhile, sure did.  Really didn't want to come to work but here I am, sitting in my chair, yawning, and craving cheetos.  Time to hit up the vending machine..... mutherfuck, the machine is out of cheetos, and I walked all the way to the vending machine, guess I'll have to wait for lunch ... leftover cheesy enchilada hamburger helper.  That shit is magnificent.  OH!  I could be worth $23 million... lemme go check.  Damn, I got my hopes up.  My first number (4) was the same as the first number drawn, so I went and bought a new Acura.  Then I looked at the rest of the results and I didn't match any more numbers.  Looks like I lost a buck on that deal.

Yes, I'll be in Iowa next week ... Jessica will be joining me... I'll be arriving Thursday morning.  I'm not driving to Ames, Des Moines, Lake View, Okaboji, or anywhere other than Carroll ... I'm not making plans either.  Time for a stress-free trip home.  It's looking like I may be skipping the Iowa/ISU game too, it's the same week as opening day NFL and we know what takes presedence there.... so unless an Idea presents itself, this is likely my last trip home for awhile.

I hate this NIN song as much, if not more, than the Mudvayne song.

Picture of the day is a brand new classic, as we discussed last night.  New MP3 is up as well....

THE LOCKOUT IS OVER!!! GO AVS!!!!!!!!!

Happy hump day, I'm sleepy.  Sorry for the late update, just been busy.  Hung out at Jess's place last night, found out her dvd burner is now fried ... are these the most unreliable things on the planet or what?  Oh well, we get our money's worth out of them.

Weekend plans ... hmmm, Friday I have a work-related happy hour thing, Saturday I'm going to try to climb a 14er or 2 (weather permitting), then it's John's party and Coco's party ... but they're several miles apart, so not sure if I'll make both of them.   Sunday is Bryan-relax-day ... probably get stuff together for the trip to Iowa next week ... my ONLY wedding I'm going to until Tyler's, and he better look forward to getting a piece of my mind for getting married.  Quitter.

Any-who, new pic of the day is up and MP3 #3 from the mix cd is up... stay cool you hot mutherfuckers.

Finally got a break here, so I'll do this right quick.  I was pretty sick last week, now sure what was up.  Felt weak, fever symptoms (and cowbell didn't cure it), spitting up blood, massive headaches (NOT migranes like 99% of people with headaches claim they have ... just a bad headache, get over it)... didn't eat for 2 days.   Then Friday I woke up and felt fantabulous.  Had a great weekend.  Friday night... well ....  I just hung out at home, watched The Bourne Identity, went to bed, that's about it.  Saturday I ... hmmm, what the hell did I do all day?   Cleaned maybe? Oh! Got my DVD burner back finally, so that was nice.  Oh!   I got filmed for the Discovery Channel this weekend too, so that was kinda cool.  I'll be on sometime in October I think.

Saturday I met up with the San Diego crew for the b-ball game, hit up giggz after the game, saw the first-ever 1-0 game in Coors Field history, and yup... had a great night!   Sunday was Chey's birthday so we just hung out by the pool all day, then I called it an early evening.

By the way, of the 6 wedding invitations I've gotten or am expecting in the last month ... I've decided the only one I'm attending is the one next weekend (Brad & Keri).   Sorry to the rest of you but I've got shit to do, and driving to Iowa ain't one of 'em.  Have fun until you're respective divorces.

I finally put up track #2 from the Mix CD yesterday, look for track #3 tomorrow.   A TON of new pictures are up ... all on the July CO pix page .. have a looksie.   That's about it for now.  Giggidy giggidy giggidy.

Good weekend, pix will be up sometime.  I'm sleepy.  I'm pissed at Full Throttle (aka, Coke's Red Bull version) for ripping of SNL's Happy Fun Ball skit for their new commercial.  I have work to do.

MP3 of the day is taking a new approach.  I made the world's best MP3 mix cd this weekend, it's all 80's, 90's, and 00's music that for 90% of the songs you'll know every word but say "who is that?!".  There's about 80 songs, about 3 hard rock, 2 or 3 rap, and the rest are just music.  I'm going to post them one-by-one for the next several months.  You too can have a cool mix cd.  Have a good short-week.

I can't believe it's July already.  Heading to Gov's tonight, might golf tomorrow if Bob can land a tee time, and Monday I think we're going to Nat's place, other than that - the weekend is open.  I'm off early today, company picnic.  Gotta jet, have a great and safe 4th.

B.J. got sent to Qatar this week, please pray for his safe return.  Check out where he's staying.

Also please continue to pray for my favorite teacher of all time, Mr. Sexton.   He's battling stage IV lung cancer.

Glad I climbed these already!
