What I am listening to as I type this:  Coal Chamber - First

February 28, 2005

As I took a total of 2 minutes to update this site last week as I didn't care 2 ounces about it and was too busy to think, a belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRENT to my brother!

Weekend was very very good, pictures will tell the tale later, for now I don't have time to update.  Adios and thanks for the great weekend, everyone.

Walter Jones is in Seattle for 7 more years.  Matt Hasselbeck is in Seattle for 6 more years.  We've got Grant Wistrom for 4 more years.  Hamlin and Trufant are locked up for 2 more years apiece.  Shaun Alexander has been franchised, so he'll be back next year unless we get some kickass goods for him on the trading block.   Now we just need to sign Kenny Lucas, Robbie Tobeck, and Chike Okeafer and I'll be happy.  I'm worried about Kenny and Chike, but pretty sure Robbie will sign back.   Oh man, it's only February and I'm entirely too excited for the 2005 Seahawk season to begin.  I'm pretty confident that the 2005 Seahawk (now annual) jersey purchase this year will go to Matt Hasselbeck and the home jersey.  Shaun's being a dickhead lately and I need a new-style home jersey anyways, my Alexander one is the old design that they haven't been in for like 3 seasons.  Anyways - football, just 6 months away!

Tyler, Amy, and Hornick arrived in town last night.  We played poker over at Mike's place with Tim and Brian (that picture is from last time, not last night).  Tonight after work Hornick and I take off for Breckenridge for the weekend, Tyler will be up there already with his parents, brothers, girlfriend, Mud, Brightwell (Wow, I've got no pictures of Stoop?  Guess I'll have to take some this weekend), and a few of his friends from college in Florida...Hornick and I are picking up The 1-2 Wu in Keystone on the way, then it's time to party for 3 days in a ski-in, ski-out townhouse!! Giggidy Giggidy Giggidy!

I got my LASIK surgery officially scheduled yesterday.  I'm going under the laser on Thursday, April 7, the birthday of one Ryan J. Heuton.  So as of March 19, 2005 -- no more contacts.....ever.  As of April 7, 2005, no more glasses......ever.  Holy shit, I cannot wait.  I'm having it done by Dr. Richard. A. Levinson.  I can't wait, exciting times in the life of one Bryan Mack.  Anyways, I'm out for the weekend, enjoy a new pic today and the same MP3 I posted yesterday because, frankly, I'm too damn lazy. Also - I killed the pop-up ads someone hacked onto the stories page, sorry about that.  Please, as always, report to me if a pop-up EVER happens to you because of my site, I'll get it fixed immediately.

SIGN MY GUESTBOOK :)  I'm getting lonely and need reassurance that people actually read this, otherwise, well - refer to yesterday's news.  Have a good weekend, hopefully I'll have pictures and videos galore for you next week -- if I get any videos of riding rails and doing snowboard jumps, this'll be the weekend it'll get done.

What I am listening to as I type this:  Slipknot - Before I Forget

February 23, 2005

Everyone told me it would happen, I didn't believe them.  I said "no way, I love this, this is for me."...but finally...3 years later, the novelty of having a website has been extinguished.  It's become more of a burden than an enjoyment for me.  We'll see how much longer I keep this thing up, it's $20/month I don't need to be spending.  Adios todos.

What I am listening to as I type this:  Prong - Hell If I Could

February 22, 2005

Q:  What do the following people have in common?

Julius Erving ... aka... Dr. J
Waymon Tisdale
Becky Hammon
Tamika Catchings
Miri Ben Ari
Lisa Leslie
Wilmer Valderrama aka, Fez
Danny Masterson, aka, Steven Hyde
Cynthia Cooper
Carmello Anthony
Bill Walton
Diana Taurasi

A:  They, among several others, love for me to drive them around Denver during NBA All Star weekend in a 2005 Nissan Armada SE.  Star sightings were plentiful...everywhere from Shaq to Steve Martin to Cedric the Entertainer......my car contained Grammy winners, random TV celebs, and some of the best NBA and WNBA players of all time.  And let me now tell you what I learned this weekend....

1)  As earlier confirmed, the NBA is gay and the current players are cocky, immature, selfish pricks.
2)  WNBA players are cool all around
3)  I am getting old, as noted with this exerpt from the Denver Post which I swear I could have written:

Four police officers patrolling the mall Saturday night craned their necks to get a view inside Niketown while seven teenage girls screamed as a rapper moved to the second-floor window and raised his hand.

"Who is that?" an officer asked, tapping one of the girls on the shoulder.
"T.I.," the girl said, referring to the New York crunk artist.
"Who?" the officer said, turning to his shrugging, befuddled compatriots.
"T.-I.," the girl said slowly.
The officer paused.
"I'm getting old."

I didn't know who half the people in my car were this weekend, nor did I care.  I do admit, driving Dr. J was pretty damn coolio, but wow, I just didn't care about the rest of it.  I would MUCH rather drive around WNBA people than rock stars or basketball players or TV celebs.

Award for hottest chick I drove goes to Becky Hammon by a longshot - wow, she's gorgeous.  Just go to her website (linked above) and see for yourself.  Award for coolest passenger goes to Diana Taurasi by a longshot.  I drove her about 5 or 6 times, she rules.  I'm now going to become a WNBA fan stricly because I want to cheer for her.  The Phoenix Mercury are my new favorite WNBA team.  Seriously.

So yeah, I worked 15 hour days all weekend driving, it was cool but I'd never want to do it again.  Last night I chilled out and went to a movie with Jessica, that was exactly what I needed, a relaxing night!  Back at it for a 3-day week, then Tyler, Hornick, and friends arrive Wednesday night for a long weekend of skiing and partying, giddy up!

What I am listening to as I type this:  Lamb of God - Omerta

February 16, 2005

Very busy and I won't be back to work until Tuesday so I'll try to find time this afternoon, otherwise -- see you Tuesday! And I assure you I'll have good stories, I landed a sweet and high-paying and celebrity filled weekend job.....think of where the NBA All Star Game is this weekend, I'm associated with it.  Adios.

What I am listening to as I type this:  Janet Jackson - Come Back To Me

February 15, 2005

Holy shit Juan is a good cook, we ate Melting-Pot-Style last night, only Juan made it all.  We had cheese fondue with all kinds of veggies and bread.   Then we had lobster, salmon, chicken, tiger shrimp, and steak fondue-style.   Then we had bananas and strawberries for desert in a chocolate fondue thing.   I'm still full, seriously.

I've discovered that I hate stickers like "BNL" or "BC" or "DMB" or whatever, you know what I'm talking about -- those white stickers people put on their car with initials of something.  What the hell, just get a Beaver Creek sticker, don't put a white oval with black "BC" written on it, that's really damn stupid.  Almost as stupid as Colorado Native stickers, but we won't get into that.

New slogan: Slipknot - Getting snubbed at the Grammy's annually since 2001

New MP3 is up and pic of the day too I think...

What I am listening to as I type this:  Sexpod - Go

February 14, 2005

Valentine's Day is a stupid commercialized holiday, seriously.  Who invented this day, it's dumb as hell.  I say we have a day where everyone wears black and listens to thrash-metal all day....black is 20x a cooler color than red anyways.   We could call it Thrash-Day.  Instead of buying flowers, you'd send your significant other a dead dog.  Cool idea....awesome.

Beaver Creek f**kin' ruled on Saturday - hardcore ruled.  Snowed all day, and I promoted myself to jumping off the big kickers now as opposed to the little ones I limited myself to for so long.  I'm too lazy to go find pictures of examples for you.  I was initially going to work on 180's and 360's off the kickers, but yeah - didn't end up doing that.  Instead I went for bigger and longer air on bigger jumps.  I can land about anything now, now just incorporate a few twists and turns and we're in good shape, giggidy.

Went to the Mammoth game last night too, they won in sudden-death OT, that was a sweet game.

Special V-Day MP3 is up for you, I don't know why I'm posting it....

What I am listening to as I type this:  Mitch Hedberg - Bed and Breakfast

February 11, 2005

TGIF, seriously.  VERY slow week.  I'm pretty busy so I'll keep this short.  Tonight I'm going to the state high school wrestling tourney for awhile then over to Jess's place.  Tomorrow bright and early up to Beaver Creek where it's supposed to snow 7 inches tomorrow, stay in Silverthorn tomorrow night, then ride at Keystone or Breck on Sunday, then back here hopefully for the Mammoth game on Sunday, we'll see we'll see.  Playin' it by ear....somewhat.

Yeah, busy.  Have a good and safe weekend.

What I am listening to as I type this:  Barry Manilow - Could It Be Magic

February 10, 2005

Happy Thursday -- what did you give up for Lent?  I'm not telling what I gave up.  Yesterday's Gospel was my all time favorite reading, I was happy to hear it....go find it if you'd like.  Matthew 6:1-18

I'm addicted hardcore to burning DVD's right now, just thought I'd share that with you.  The only one I can't get to burn is X2 - X-Men United.  I can tell you're highly concerned....read on for even more exciting stuff in today's news.

Is it just me or have the news stories on cnn.com the last 3 days been insanely disturbing? What the hell is wrong with this world?  What kind of idiot says it's illegal to show your underwear or you get fined?  Who locks their 14 year old daughter in a room for over a year?  What kind of gorgeous teacher screws her 13 year old student?  Who scalps their 16 year old friend for disrespecting them?  Who elects Geo....oh wait, I promised not to bitch about that....although he isn't pissing me off as much lately....key words:  as much.

New stuff is up, down, around & around......and an MP3 just for OGC

What I am listening to as I type this:  Rupert Holmes - Escape (The Pina Colada Song)

February 09, 2005

very busy, sorry...nothing today

What I am listening to as I type this:  Kenny Chesney - Key Lime Pie

February 08, 2005

I really don't know what to think of this new Kenny Chesney album, so far I think it's a pathetic attempt at a country album.  Kenny needs to go back to songs like Life Is Good, The Tin Man, and She's Got It All.  Well -- and obviously She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy.  Hmmm, new MP3 of the day today?   Perhaps...

So it's setting in today....no sports.  There's really no sports for a LONG time.   Football is done.  I don't really watch much baseball on TV and go to about 5 or 3 Rockies games a year...so that doesn't really count.  And NFL/Iowa State football doesn't start until September.  No hockey.  Basketball is for fags.   Shit....pretty much screwed here for awhile.  So that means Bryan will be in tremendous shape as there isn't much else to do.  I'm pretty broke and am getting sick of the bar scene except for Friday happy hour...but it's snowboarding season and I have a condo in Silverthorn so not much of that until mid-April.  Yup - time to get in superb shape.  I was up just after 5 this morning and made a full breakfast, was at the gym by 6:20, and lifted for an hour and a half already.  I'll run over lunch, then I'll lift after work -- good start to the week after a fantastic yesterday!   Holy shit am I rambling or what?

We finally finished watching Friday Night Lights last night, it was a pretty good movie -- I enjoyed it thoroughly.

Did I mention I bought a DVD burner over the weekend?  I've already burned about 10 DVD's.  I have a pretty slow computer (PIII 866MhZ) and although I bought a 16x dual-layer +- burner, I only bought 8X DVD's, and with that processor -- it takes about 1 1/2 hours to do a DVD, but that's ok, I'm in no rush.  Time to start using those $1 rentals from McDonald's.  This DVDx software rules.  I'm waiting for the dual-layer discs to drop in price so I can finally burn all my documents onto DVD and toss them in the fireproof safe along with the hard drive with all the data backed up.  Oh yeah - Bryan Mack is officially NEVER losing any data, pictures, files, music, or ANYTHING....nobody can stop me!!

I crave a Busch Light...haven't had one in years.  But instead, I shall work.   Have a splendid day.

What I am listening to as I type this:  Lamb of God - Blood of the Scribe

February 07, 2005

Congrats to the Pats....nice work.  And to the Eagles fans out there I just have this to say to you....if you would have just signed Randall Cunningham to a 10 year deal back in 1995 instead of cutting him (how'd he do in Minnesota after that, again? oh yeah - incredible) you still could have had the best football player of all time playing and you would have won the game.  It's the team's fault....I just don't get why they didn't sign Cunningham again, stupid - stupid move.  It cost them a fan.

Went to the Elephant Bar on Saturday night...I HIGHLY recommend it if you have one near you....looks like they're pretty popular in California with a couple in Denver, Arizona, and a few other places spread across the country.  Go if you have one near you....yummy shrimp.

New MP3 and pic of the day are up, but that's about it for now.

Kenny Chesney needs to go back to country music instead of boat music...just a thought.

What I am listening to as I type this:  Slipknot - Danger-Keep Away

February 04, 2005

Q:  What's Snoop Dog's favorite kind of weather?
A:  Drizzle

I honestly have no idea if I just made that up or if I heard it 3 years ago...probably heard it 3 years ago.

Let me explain something to you right quick.  Denver has 300+ days of sunshine a year.  It is regularly in the 50's in the winter (Supposed to be 54 today).  The best snowboarding in the country is just over an hour from here.   It's one of the most scenic cities in the country.  We have an incredible hockey team, and most people realize that basketball sucks.  We have everything and I love this city.  I was disappointed in the weather as it was in the 20's yesterday morning, but then this happened...as voted on by Denver-ites....and the city TOTALLY REDEEMS ITSELF!!!

Dilbert cracked me up today....I'm very easily amused.

I told you my weekend plans yesterday so I'm not telling you again, why don't you ever listen?

GO PATRIOTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What I am listening to as I type this:  Monster Magnet - 25.....tab

February 03, 2005

I just realized I forgot to update yesterday, oops.  I really did just forget, sorry.  Went to Juan and Coco's place for dinner last night, it was delicioius.  Tiff and Jessica are making Andy and I fajitas tonight for O.C. night I believe.  I hope the Marissa/Chick-With-A-Horrible-Butterfly-Tattoo lesbian scene finally starts tonight, they've been teasing us for too long with that.

Weekend plans are looking good, head up to Breck on Saturday as they've gotten a foot or so of snow in the last few days, got a date on Saturday night, then Sunday Sunday Sunday = the Seahawk-less Super Bowl.  I have no idea what's going on, but it's pretty safe to assume I'll be at Old Chicago...hopefully drinking trays of $0.25 beers - like in years past, positively in a Seahawks jersey of some sort - like in years past, and hopefully lighting Bronco's keychains on fire - similar to in years past.

Please tell me Shaun is staying in Seattle....it won't happen just becuase I'm jinxed in sports.

Sexy Kelly is good at offering super bowl suggestions I've heard......

I had lots to say today but I can't remember any of it, sorry....I'm sure it'll come in due time.....

New MP3 and pic of the day are up...enjoy.

What I am listening to as I type this:  2 Skinnee J's - The Whammy

February 01, 2005

February already?  Well, it's fitting, it got cold again.  Did I mention that on Saturday early afternoon I changed my oil with a t-shirt on, and then on Sunday it snowed 4 inches?  This morning I woke up and it was down to the teens, I fully expect it to go back up to normal soon.

I can't believe they haven't officially cancelled the hockey season left.   As I said last May,  you're a fool to believe we'll see any hockey before January of 2006, so we've still got a year to go.....so to all of you in denial, just focus on the upcoming season for the Seattle Seahawks.  That's right....(now that WinterX Snowboarding is over) it'll be September before any meaningful sports are played again.  I need to go to another Mammoth game to get my fix.

Did anyone catch that double-flip move that Travis Rice did on Saturday during Slopestyle?  That's officially the coolest thing I've ever seen in my life on a snowboard...even cooler than Keystone's BBQ rail.

Pictures, downloads, movies, and other stuff have been restored due to my bandwidth being reset....and in turn, new MP3 is up today...enjoy.
