It's about time to discuss it ... New Orleans.... wow.  I can't believe there are fish swimming where the picture of the day took place.  This is just amazing to me and I don't understand it.  Do you realize how many people lost their homes here?  HOMELESS!!  Everything they own is ruined.  How has this not happened before?  I mean seriously, the city is on the Gulf of Mexico coast, and is below sea level -- I don't understand how this hasn't happened before.  However, that's beside the fact that this is horrible.  Then you have the looters... the cowards trying to make a buck. You've got the idiots they're finding in Denver soliciting money for the Red Cross (it's a scam) just to make a buck off of the storm that made so many people homeless.  Personally - I don't see how this city will ever be the same, and furthermore, I don't understand why anyone would ever want to live there again.  Could you deal with this again?  According to Riki, my friend Aja (who now lives in Ocean Springs,  MS and is in the Coast Guard) lost her place but is too busy with work to do anything about it, I need to call her.... can't get through though, all circuits have been "busy" for a day.  I honestly think, a hundred years down the road, you'll hear of Katrina, the story that made a city disappear.   I really don't think New Orleans will ever be back, I wouldn't want to live there anymore, would you?

It's times like this that you really sympathize with Terrell Owens for only making $7 million this year.

First off - major kudos to the mayor of New Orleans -- way to use your power and not be afraid to force the evacuation of your city.  The number of lives you likely saved with the mandatory evacuation must be in the tens of thousands.  We need more decision makers with the balls you had to make such a decision that was likely frown upon by many.

Bob's still in the hospital, probably will be most of the week if not longer - please keep your thoughts & prayers with him.

My ankle is officially broken, gotta be in this boot thing and on crutches for 8 weeks.   It's my driving ankle, so this does pose a problem, not sure what exactly is going to happen here, I find out friday.   Weekend pictures will be up shortly, Matthew Renze was in town for the weekend so we had a good time ... but I was forced to lay low after the "incident" on Friday -- which, by the way, I have details of what happened written in the forums.

Since I'm immoble until mid-to-late October, I plan on the following:   getting fat, finally getting shit done for the website, mastering/finalizing my MP3 organization process, finishing my picture-scanning project, reading a ton of stuff, writing a lot of stuff, getting even more fat, watching lots of football.  8 weeks on crutches while not being allowed to drive (even though I will drive to work anyways) is going to suck hardcore.

Mom & Dad are coming here this weekend, we're going to the Rox game on Saturday night, not sure what else yet.  I feel bad as I've gone and strongly limited what I can do when they're here.  This whole thing honestly doesn't bother me at all other than the fact that I feel like I'm being punished for helping someone out.  But on the bright side -- this took hiking away from my list of options this weekend, but now hiking season is over, and it'll be healed by snowboading season, this is about the only time a year when I have 8 weeks to spare.  It'll hurt my weigh-lifting as I've focused on legs the last 2 months and this will basically cancel all that out, and my running will be hurt ... but hey, at least I didn't get shot or get a worse break.

Fun-filled weekend, lots of good shit & bad shit & very bad shit ... but I haven't time to discuss it further than this:  (and A and B are COMPLETELY separate things)
a) keep Bob in your thoughts & prayers

b) picture says it all, i'll post what happened later, but don't email me - i won't reply cuz i don't have the time right now.  let's just say my whole face is swollen and i can't walk any faster than Christopher Reeve

Last night was a productive one, and I ran about 3 miles in the rain... not sure why, it just sounded like a good idea.  I bought 3 new tongue rings last night as I swallowed another one ... I think I've swallowed about 10 of those damn things, but they're cheap now.  They used to be like $25/ea -- last night I got 3 for $15, so I'm happy again.  Weekend plans are starting to lean towards "I'm pretty broke, I'll probably just stay home."

I was watching some Arrested Development episodes on tape last night as I was falling asleep, it was one of the episodes when George-Michael was taped doing light-saber moves in the garage.  So I fall asleep watching it, and soon as you know it, this girl I barely know is in my dream running around my living room with a golf-ball retreiver pretending it's a light saber, and bouncing around the room.   Then suddenly, I'm on top of the Tower of Doom at Elitch Gardens, which happens to have a wonderful view of Coors Field.  While sitting up there waiting to be dropped, someone .... well ... I just sat here for 5 minutes thinking of how to describe what happened next, but I realized 2 things:
a) It's next to impossible to explain
b) Who cares?

So the very-valuable foul-ball I caught was sold for $20K, so I had some money.   After that... we all go to the Sport's Column, and I run into Corey Taylor and his wife there.  We hang out for awhile, then I leave the bar and I see Corey ahead of me in a Lamborghini Diablo or a Mazarriti or something, so I raced him, and he got away, then I determined that it wasn't his car, he just rented it.   Pretty cool, huh?   I bet you wish you could have dreams like I do.

I've been listening to the country station at work the last few days, and I'm already sick of it.  They're worse than KBPI with regards to playing the same songs over and over.  I think I should get XM radio or something.   Listen to me, I have more MP3's than God and I'm not satisfied... humph.

Minnesota pictures are up.... new MP3 is up too.   I've almost got another batch of random thoughts ready too, but I still need to "think" of about 1-3 more things before I post that, blah blah blah.

Ok I'll take a minute before 8 here to update this damn thing.  Had a good trip to Minnesota, but won't have time to put up pix for awhile.  Drank from a huge glass boot, went to a lake house, spent the day on the boat, played some horseshoes, made a fire.  Definitely relaxing..... then..... I get back here.  This damn virus at work is kicking my ass, finally got it under control last night.  Damn Win2K machines ... allthough I still adore 2K to XP.

Wow, a trip to Minnesota and 2 additional days since I've updated, and I still have nothing to say.  Man my life is f**king boring, ain't it?  This weekend, hmmm ... probably just chill out Friday night, Saturday might go for a hike or work on my car or something,  Saturday night there's a b-day/welcome-back party thing (which normally I boycott as I hate the whole "let's go out! it's my birthday!" bullshit), Sunday night we have our fantasy football draft.... yup, that's about it.  Wow, I need to find a new hobby or something.  I don't really run any more, I don't like going to the bars any more, I don't have the money for any other hobbies... any ideas?

Ok........ seriously ..... I don't like to talk about my personal life on here that much any more as you can probably tell in comparison from 3 years ago.  But seriously ........... wow.   Wow.  Amazing, flat-out amazing.  That deserves a second picture .. just .... wow ... speechless.  When I saw her last night for the first time in a week or so ... I just wanted to ....... wow.  That woman is just crazy beautiful.

I just had to slap myself back to reality.  I was an hour late for work today, you could say Andy and I aren't the best at catching a bus on time.  I blame it on the fact that I couldn't see straight because I was laughing too hard from this.   Seriuosly, if anyone needs yet another reason to never want to get married -- that should be it.  I've been trying to think of an adjective for that guy, but I can't think of anything more straight-forward than "pathetic".   Seriously -- shoot me in the eye if I ever wear something that incredibly gay. (and the mullet cameraman between them ain't that un-funny either)

Have you ever...... had a girl that you tried to date, but a year to make love she wanted you to wait.  Oh wait, my story turned into Biz Markie lyrics real quick there... let me try again...

Have you ever had a song that you've heard around 200 times, then one time you listen to it -- it just hits you like a ton of bricks.  You absolutely love that song.   You agree with everything said in that song.  That song immediately puts the band into "top 10" status.  You can't listen to anything but that song.   While listening to the song, you sit there and think "Wow, these lyrics are more amazing than the above pictures of Jessica."  Well, that song for me, is going to interrupt the "Mix CD" mp3 of the week theme and go on the MP3 page today... and it's going to be immediately retired.  I probably heard this song 6 years ago or so for the first time, and it's just now hitting me how flat-out awesome it is.  If you don't like this song, I don't like you. Enjoy, and have a safe weekend.

Ran about 4 miles last night, grilled up some BBQ chicken and a brat (weird combination, I know), then went to meet up with Bob for awhile at Old C's.   Solid night.  Tonight I think Andy and I are going to the Rockies game then tomorrow I'm taking off until Sunday... busy busy busy.  Busy at work too so this'll be short...

The end.

See, told you it'd be short.  You can find a new MP3 and pic of the day, other than that -- find yourself a life and do something more productive than reading about mine.  Ha!

Forgot I have to work on Sunday (Freshman Orientation... got to meet my new students/advisees), so I'm not going to Tampa this weekend, but I'm going to take a trip anyways .. just can't go 2 time zones away and make it back for work on Sunday.   I'm flying out Thursday night.  Giggidy giggidy giggidy!

Man the Royals suck royally.

We've got 2 movies left on the movie quiz -- can anyone get them?!

I excercised before work today ... from home, but better than nothing.  Going for a 3-fer today, been awhile since I've done that.  Probably lift over lunch, then jog after work, then lift after that.  Seriously - do I have anything better to do with my time?  Answer:  Not really.

Do you like music?  I put a new song on the MP3 page about 5 times a week, today is one of those times.  In fact, today's track is Chevelle - The Red.  About the only song I like by that band.  I also post a new and exciting picture on the Pictures page every day, I call it the "Picture of the Day".  I have no clue where I came up with such a clever name for it.  However, if you have time to spare, you may enjoy taking a glance at today's photograph.

Wow what a worthless weekend.  Friday I went to Old C's for happy hour, over to Jess's for awhile, then home.  Saturday I stayed home all day, and Sunday I stayed home all day except for church and running.  Didn't even leave the damn apartment... and the thing is, I had a million things to do.... and a million things I wanted to get done.  I even had a million things to get done from home ... yeah, I didn't do any of them.  I just sat there, on the couch, all weekend.   Fun times.

Seneca Wallace ripped it up for the Sea-Chickens this weekend, I guess that's some form of good news.

Now here I sit back at work, listening to KBPI, waiting for a support email from our database people so I can do something with one project, and working on stupid other things I need to get done that are boring.

I've got to get out of here next weekend ... either a couple of 14ers or I'm flying somewhere.  I'd prefer the latter but I cannot find a cheap flight to my secretive destination yet.

After about 5 listens I flat-out do not like the new Chimaira album, this upsets me as I had high hopes for it and them.  Hopefully it'll grow on me like the last Deftones album, but who knows.

It's payday, woo hoo (note the sarcasm as I already spent it all).  Have a good one.

1 year ago: "If you sign this, do what it says and we'll do what it says as well.  Think about before you sign, it's a legal & binding contract, it will be this way for 7 years.  Sign if you agree to it." .... "OK, I'll sign".

Present Day: "Well sir, we're still doing our part of the deal for you as we promised, please show up to practice now."  ... "WHAAAAAA!! WHAAAAA!   WHAAAAA!! I DON'T WANT TO DO WHAT I SAID I'D DO!! I'M AN ATTENTION-GRABBING IDIOT WHO ISN'T A MAN OF MY WORD! WHAAAA!  WHAAAA!   WHAAA!!  I WANT MORE! I WANT MORE!! I'M A SELFISH FAG! WHAAA WHAAAA!!!! WHAAAAA!!!"

Gee, who was I impersonating there?  Hey Terrell Owens, stop whining and do what you promised to do.  Maybe you're too busy paying attention to signing footballs after you score a TD that you don't pay attention to other things you sign.   I hope they bench you the next 6 years you dumbass.

Jessica is back but is very sick, so I'll probably take care of her tonight.   *points fingers to head like gun* ... "Take care of her?"    .... nah, you know, like if you were gonna take your friend's wife to a movie or something.  "You're going to take Jessica out on date?"  No - it's not a date.  It's definitely not a date.  It's not a date.

The Seahwaks kick it all off tonight in New Orleans at 6pm, giggidy giggidy giggidy!! Months of waiting is over!  The Avs are on their way back (the quasi-Avs, that is) ... sports are returning!  Then Arrested Development and The O.C. both start up next month again, and ESPN2 is going to be broadcast in HD for DirecTV subscribers starting September 8 ... wooooooo!!!  Life is good, the grass is green, the good Lord's shinin' on you and me .... oh knock on wood..... sweet sunshine everywhere I look ... ok, now I'm singing some Kenny from back before he sucked.  I'll shut up now, have a great weekend.

There it is guys and dolls, my autographed copy of the new Chimaira cd.   I've only given it one listen so far, currently on the 2nd, I'm not going to release any thoughts on it, as usual, until at least 10-15 listens (which will probably be by tomorrow at the rate I usually listen to them, and by about next July for the review, at the rate I do those).

I don't have anything to say today as nothing really happened yesterday, I cleaned, that's about it.  I fed a cat.  I had good pitching performances by Garcia and Suppan.  I folded laundry.  I need to finalize weekend plans.  I need to get back to work, I've got nothing today.

Wow, I'm getting shit done today, and that's no lie.  I didn't get anything done last night.  Tonight I have to do laundry and iron, then go run some cable through one of Jessica's walls for her -- promised her I'd have that done by the time she got back.  You'd be 100% correct if you guessed that the cat will be locked in the closet while I'm doing this. 2 more days of that damn cat then I'm free.   Really thinking about eating Chinese food tonight.

Weekend .... wow that's all up in the air right now.  14er?   Elitch Gardens?  Pool?  Fantasy Football Draft for the trophy league?   Seahawks Pre-Season game?  Wow, I have no idea yet, so many options.   What I won't be doing is spending money (I already paid for the Elitch tickets) as I have none, well, unless I want to dip into savings, which I do not.  I hate "3-weekend" checks.  About once every three months I get a paycheck that has to last 3 weekends, I don't like those (these).

If you live in KC you DAMN well better go honor Bret Saberhagen (best baseball player ever) this weekend as they enter him into the Royals Hall of Fame.   I'd be there if I had enough money to pay for gas.  I hate GW.  I distinctly remember gas at one point being $0.79/gallon when Clinton was in power.   Weird how Clinton isn't from an oil state, Gore wasn't the head of an oil company, and Clinton didn't invade a country where a ton of oil is.   All coinsidence I'm sure.

I'm thinking the Iowa/Iowa State game is a no-go for me this year.   I'm not paying $2.50/gallong and taking off work to drive 1600 miles to tailgate for a game and miss my Seahawks Week 1 game.  All you quitters (Tom, Katie K., Kelly, Chris, Beth, Jeff, Katie, Maria, etc.) who moved back to Iowa are more than invited to come watch the game at the Sports Column in Denver with me, though!

A few new pix are up of the recent Iowa trip, new MP3 is up, and that's about it for today.  Happy hump day!!

Watching the animals update: I went over to Jess's apartment around 10pm last night, as I usually remember to feed the damn animals about the first second I have a chance to relax.  Upon my entrance, the cat sprinted out the front door and I practically tackled the damn thing.  I then locked it in the bathroom while I cleaned up.  Today all the mail was scattered all over the place, there were 2 hair-ties in the toilet, a candle and wreath-thing was on the floor, not sure where it came from, and some drywall was broken(weird).  I filled the cat-food and got out the other "creature".  The "creature" bit me 3 times in 5 minutes.  I let the cat out, and it took off after said "creature" ... I pick cat up, cat swipes my face and cuts me exactly where I have had stitches 3 times ... I bleed for 20 minutes.  I literally punch cat and throw it across room, which was the first enjoyment out of the "feed the animals" fiasco I've had so far.   Cat will not be touched any more until Jessica gets home on Friday.  Creature bites me again.  Creature will not be touched again until Jess gets home on Friday.    I like feeding the fish, they're cool.  ....  Let me tell you how damn lucky this girl is that I think she's the coolest chikadee I've met in my enitre life, otherwise the cat would have been experiment #2 (the first was in college) with regards to "How long will Bryan lock you in the fridge's freezer compartment before he feels guilty."  (the first time was about 45 minutes)... The "creature" would be testing the limits of the garbage disposal or blender.

My phone works again -- I'm back to my old Samsung A460 ... no more texts, thankfully.... but my phone works again.

I've got to find an excuse to get this damn pest I like to call a "financial analyst" to stop from coming by tomorrow.  This guy calls me MONTHLY (because someone referred me to him ... don't EVER give my name or email or phone# to ANYBODY saying I might be interested in what they have to offer - I will fucking MURDER you.. I am dead serious) ... he comes by every damn month and tries to persuade me into getting accidental death & disability insurance and buy life insurance (HELLO! I'M SINGLE -- NO KIDS!! NEVER GETTING MARRIED! DON'T WANT MY OWN KIDS!! HAVE $30K IN RETIREMENT ALREADY -- DON'T SO MUCH NEED LIFE INSURANCE THERE, BUDDY!) ... I've told him all this -- but he keeps coming back - how the hell can I get him to stop?!  This is next to impossible.  I will seriously take any suggestions for help as to how to get this dipshit to stop, then if ANYONE EVER gives someone my contact info again - you're fucking dead.

Laetitia got new front speakers last night.  I was fed up with the factory speakers, and the driver's side was blown, so I pulled the doors off last night around 7, drove to Soundtrack, and bought some new Infinity 2-way 6 1/2"s.... ho-lee-shit.  You wouldn't believe the difference.  I mean seriously, this brought my stereo from "barely above average" to "competition quality sound.  I now have 4 after marktet 6 1/2s, 2 10" power dvc rockford subs, and a huge MTX amp ... it can blast some serious Tool... Aenema sounds insane.

Tonight ... hmm.  Laundry and feed the fish -- the other animals are on probation for a night and get no food.  That's about it, adios todos.

First off, I'm pretty sure my phone is 100% fried, I'm going to the Sprint Store sometime in the next few days to switch back to my old phone.  Soooo, probably won't get your call for the next day or two, and I'm no longer receiving/sending text messages at all, I ain't paying for that shit.  Just email me instead, much easier in my book.

Had a great weekend.  Friday night, went to the PCL with Andy, Riki, and Ian -- pix are up from that.  Saturday I worked on my car (the ONLY things left on it that aren't 100% perfect are the light in the floor-shifter, and the brake light in the rear-window, I'll buy those parts on ebay and Laetitia will be 100% refurbished) then wasted the day be sleeping, or as I like to call it - preparing for Sunday.

Climbed 2 14ers yesterday (Mt. Belford and Mt. Oxford)... left my apartment at 3:00am and got back a little after 9:00pm ... trip report and pictures are posted.  When I got home, I ordered a large 5 topping Papa John's pizza, it was the best food I've ever eaten.  Now I'm back at work, my body is sore, and I'm quite sleepy.

If there's anyone out there who gets hired for the assassination of domestic pets, I'd like to hire you for Jessica's petting zoo she keeps in her apartment.   That girlfriend of mine needs to get back from vacation... at first it was because I miss her, but the #1 reason is slowly switching to the fact that I can't stand taking care of those damn animals.  Seriously, why in the world do people ENJOY having pets?!  I will never understand this.  Can you imagine going on a 10 hour climb at high elevation, doing 5 hours of driving, being dehydrated and starving and sunburnt, having a sore body all over (feet, legs, knees, back, shoulders, etc.) -- and then I can't go relax at home because you have to go feed a cat that makes me sneeze while clawing and biting me .... then play with some other animals (that bite constantly) so they don't get rowdy?!  How do people get enjoyment from this?  Wow domestic animals suck.   Are there cool animals?  Keep reading:

I SAW A BEAR!! FINALLY!! Yup, we saw a bear yesterday -- that makes it official, I think I've seen every wild animal in this state now.  Elk, Moose, Mountain Lion, foxes and coyotes, a wolf (the ONLY wolf found in CO in 40 years and I saw it!), antelope, mountain goats, long-horned sheep, deer, marmots, and now... A BEAR!! WOO HOO!! I've completed the string of animals there is to see here, I was very excited yesterday!

I didn't want to wake up this morning, seriously.  Laetitia Casta came to visit me while I was mowing my parent's lawn barefoot.  She said she heard I named my car after her and she thought it was such a kind gesture that she came to be with me.  I said "Even with my green feet?" (from mowing the lawn) ... and she, in her glorious French accent confirmed that all she wanted in life was me.  She told me I'd dream of her again ... durrr, no shit, Laetitia?  Ya think?  I think the dream was my car's way of saying "thank for fixing me up."     Then I had a dream that I was in the back seat of my car, 5 days after a new windshild, and I got hit by 3 rocks and got 3 new cracks.  I screamed and broke my phone and cried.  I guess that makes me a pussy.

Chimaira's new Cd is out tomorrow.  I advance-ordered it 2 months ago.  For ordering it so far in advance, the band autographed it for me.  It might get here a day early (today) or tomorrow at the latest.... I can't wait.

Russia trying to use a submarine is like Christopher Reeve trying to use anything that only living people can use ... it's worthless.

Wow! I got a shutout! Only my second of the year - way to go John Patterson!

What's the chances that this song has been on my "What i'm listening to" thing like 20 times in the last 3 months?  And that's about 1/30th of the times   I actually hear it ... it just happens to be on when I'm typing it.  It's on ALL THE FUCKING TIME!! It's not a good song and I'm damn sick of it.  I need to stop listening to the radio, but offering $1000 4 times a day is too damn tempting, what if they say my name and I don't call back in an hour?  Humph.  Mudvayne sucks.

This weekend ... well, it's 14er time again, as it will be for all of August as I promised to myself a few months back.  That's every weekend this month as I can't the first 2 weekends in September and after that is football season, so yeah -- only 4 more chances all year to climb.  This weekend?  Undecided -- it's either a 2nd summit of Long's Peak .... or Mt. of the Holy Cross (the one I've been dying to climb for about 2 years) ... or a double or triple summit of Mt. Belford and Mt. Oxford with a weather/time/exhaustion factor deciding wether or not to summit Missouri Mountain or not.   Either way -- weather permitting -- I WILL summit at least one 14er this weekend.   I wanted to get 10 this summer, not sure if that's possible or not, it'll take some serious effort for that to happen, 9 is a possibility, but 10 is a huge stretch.   Got a late start, it's my own fault for taking last weekend off.  I'm pretty pissed at myself for doing that.

New MP3 is up, same with picture of the day, and I didn't get my reviews done like I wanted.  And in case Jess is reading this -- I hate your damn cat.  You'll be lucky if it's alive when you get home.  (I have to go feed it at nights while she's on vacation).  I'm considering biting the bullet and taking it to a vet and just footing the bill myself.  That thing needs death very soon.  Hell, I'll put a picture up by the date of what it's quite likely her cat will look like soon.

Have a nice weekend.

Have I mentioned that Slipknot will be going back on tour in the US this fall?   And although I skipped their Denver concert on Sunday, Chimaira has a new cd out August 8th (self-titled) ... I pre-ordered mine from Tower Records a month or two ago as they ran a promotion that the first X number of people who pre-ordered got an autographed copy.  Sweet.

I honestly had like 2,724 things I wanted to talk about today but I can't remember a damn one of them.

I tried to watch the INXS show last night for 30 seconds (as I heard Brooke Burke is on it) ... wow, it's basically American Idol.  Needless to say, I didn't get to see Brooke as I've never changed channels so quickly from anything involving Brooke Burke.   Man she's beautiful, but I won't watch American Idol to see her... even moreso, I won't watch something that's trying to COPY American Idol.  Like I said about John Mayer and that guy who shares the name with the #3 pick in the NHL draft this year ... there's nothing worse than Dave Matthews Band than someone trying to COPY Dave Matthews Band.  Why would anyone want to reproduce American Idol?   It's as if Julia Roberts were to become impregnated by Robin Williams to create the most annoying and hideous looking creature on Earth.  Ok, I'm getting worked up.

I ran twice this week.  Yup, you heard me, I ran.  I'm 100% through with the treadmill though.  Rain or shine, warm or cold -- outside is the only way Bryan runs from now on (unless I'm trying to break a 6 minute mile, in which case I'll probably 'mill it)

Jessica and company are leaving for Tennessee for 10 days today, I hope they drive safe.  If they have car trouble I may be calling on my KC friends to help her tonight!

I need a burrito ... like, now!

You just ain't gonna believe what I did last night -- I ran!  I've decided a few things, oh wait - my phone is ringing..... sweet, it was the windshild guy.  Laetitia is getting a new windshield installed as we speak ... giggidy giggidy giggidy!  She needed it, too.  Hell, I'll post some pix of the old windshield by the date.

Want to know what a BAD exhaust manifold gasket looks like for a 1995 Honda Accord LX -- here ya go

The newest project for Laetitia is replacing her sidemarkers (as I melted the old ones with cheap bulbs)... both the bulbs and the shields.  I bought both on ebay yesterday, went "Euro" with the shields and some hyperwhite bulbs.   I used to have the hyperwhites but they were in some regular shields.  I'll post pix when they arrive, it'll be sweet.  Until then - Laetitia looks like this.

So that's the story with my car.  Tonight the Trampoline's are playing at Red Rocks ... I think I'm going but not sure yet.  Jessica leaves for vacation for a long time tomorrow.  I want to climb Long's Peak again this weekend.  Shaun Alexander is at training camp.  The Avs lost Adam Foote yesterday.  My fantasy baseball team sucks but Mark Buehrle is saving me.  I am very busy at work.  And now I need to go meet up with the windshield guy to pay my bill, adios.

New review is on the way in a day or two, the newest installment of random thoughts is en route, new MP3 is posted too.  There's something else I'm forgetting, I'll remember alter and not tell you probably.

That was a relaxing weekend, but I didn't do any climbing or Elitch's :o(  Didn't so much go as planned, I was still productive though.

Laetitia gets a new windshield today, that's pretty overdue.  I'm re-wiring her sidemarkers too, they melted the wiring harnesses as I bought the wrong bulbs last time and so now I have a small project.  I'm currently taking care of all the $20 projects this car needs one at a time, it's pretty fun actually, and kind of addicting.  But it's nice keeping this car in brand-new condition.

Might be hitting up Red Rocks for Film on the Rocks tomorrow ... Scott's band (the Trampolines) are opening up for the movie, so that should be pretty cool.

Rest of the week?  Probably work on Laetitia.  Jess is leaving for vacation for 10 days or so on Wednesday.  Might be climbing Long's Peak this weekend -- that should suck up the whole weekend as (assuming we do it) we'll leave around midnight on Friday night and get back to Denver around 5pm on Saturday.  That will basically mean I'm going to bed at 5pm Saturday night.  If I don't do Long's this weekned - I'm doing Holy Cross or going to drive to one far away.  I'm dedicating this weekend to a big 14er trip.  Probably dedicating the rest of the weekends in August to that.   It's cheap, it's challenging, it's fun, and it keeps me out of trouble.

What I didn't realize is that Long's is the second deadliest mountain in Colorado.  Who knew?  They had an awesome article on that mountain on the cover of yesterday's post ... check it out if you'd like.

Sorry about the MP3 not working on Friday -- it works now
