April 29, 2005

April is the month you all get sick of me on this site...but I have to do it because I want to.  Tomorrow is the (I can't f**king believe it's been this long) 7th anniversary of my friend Ryan's death.  You know what the picture of the day is.    And as usual, I come up with a unique song that reminds me of him as MP3 of the day.  So this morning, I was listening to KBPI and they played Rock Me Amadeus, it cracked me up that they were playing this, but I didn't want to listen to that shit, so I hit the button to start playing whatever cd was in.... and it happened to be this song.  At the same time I remembered that tomorrow is Ryan's day.... and for some reason I had never put these lyrics along with him... should be pretty obvious today....

Ok GWB ... I said I wouldn't bitch about anything you do this term, but now you've went and made it personal.  They cancelled The O.C. last night because of you.... now you're on my bad side again and have inspired a new countdown (above).

Why is God teasing me?  After all the ski resorts (except A-Basin, which I don't particularly care for) close, he gives me 2 days of solid snow.  That picture by the date was actually taken around 6:45am this morning..... humph.  I'm not doing anything that involves "plans" this weekend.  I wanted to golf, but I guess that's out of the ?

After looking at yet another picture of a chick this morning that the whole world thinks is hot and noticing that she's hideous, I've decided to break down to you who is hot and who is not.  I'll leave out the obvious hotties like Krista Allen, Laetitia Casta, Eva Longoria, Brooke Burke, and Tara Dakides.  Let's just go with some I've never commented on:

HOT

FIDEOUS (my version of Fugly)

Catherine Zeta-Jones
Rachel Bilson
Salma Hayek
Nicole Kidman
Hilary Swank
Christina Aguilera
Britney Spears
Jessica Simpson
Penelope Cruz
Denise Richards
Shakira
Halle Berry
Julia Roberts
Gwen Stefani
Fergie from Black Eyed Peas
Paris Hilton
Nicole Ritchie
Elisha Cuthbert
Williams Sisters (Tennis)
Lindsay Lohan
Tara Reid
Hillary Duff
Ashlee Simpson
Avril Lavigne
Katie Holmes
Brooke Burns
Janet Jackson

And with that, I bid you a wonderful weekend, adios todos.

What I am listening to as I type this:  Alan Jackson - Bring On The Night
What I am currently addicted to: Hard Boiled Eggs

April 28, 2005

I go in streaks of addiction.  Sometimes gambling, sometimes listening to Chimaira, sometimes it's watching my fantasy baseball, and other times it's a food I can't stop eating (besides chips & salsa, which I seriously think I have a major issue with, I eat more of that than anyone I know.)  Anyways, by the music thing on top, I will now track my current addiction of the moment.... I won't explain them, I'll just tell you, if something is posted in that spot above, one of my senses is receiving way too much of it.

So Jess doesn't have chicken pox, this is very good, I was worried....seriously.  And in other news -- Chimaira is returning to Denver!! July 31st at the Universal Lending Pavilion (basically the parking lot of the Pepsi Center).   I'm not sure I'm going to go though, they're playing with Lamb of God...who I just saw twice in the last week, also I've seen Chimaira 3 times in the last 18 months....really not sure if I want to spend $40 on them again.... unless they have a new album come out first.  I missed the SOAD concert last night, but I'm sure they'll be back for a much larger show.

This is VERY VERY VERY tempting....

It snowed again yesterday, this makes me want to go ride the board at A-Basin this weekend, but it's been so long since I've gotten to just chill out in Denver for a weekend.  I mean seriously, let's count back the past weekends.  Last weekend:  Slipknot in Iowa.  Weekend previous:  Silverthorn/Vail.   Weekend Previous: Eye Surgery.  Weekend Previous: Grandma's 90th Birthday.   Weekend Previous: Easter weekend.  Weekend Previous: Savannah, Georgia.   Several Previous Weekends:  Snowboarding.  This weekend hopefully appears to finally be a mellow one.  I seriously just want to chill out, do nothing.   Maybe get a round of golf in (if it's nice), I'd like to go see the Rockies play but they're in LA this weekend.  Maybe I'll just relax.  Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh.   Go for some 8 mile runs, ahhhhhhhhhhh. Relaxation....finally.

This is undoubtedly the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen.  That is seriously the only woman who makes me want to puke when I see her.  I think she is quite possibly the ugliest human being on Earth (besides anyone on UCONN's men's basketball team last year) and every movie I've ever seen with her in it has made me sick to my stomach.  She's right next to gwen stefani on the ugly scale of most hideous creatures on Earth.... you could fit a fucking basketball in her mouth... she always looks like she's going to cry .... yet for some reason all women love both of them.  I don't get, I have to go puke now. ahhhhhhhhhhhh

April 27, 2005

I'm tired, and I went to bed at 9 last night ... who knew?  I can't get tickets to the System of a Down show tonight, they only have like 1000 tickets or so available and they went on sale 2 minutes ago....only at the box office downtown, no chance :o(   Anyways, I'll post the new kickass SOAD song as MP3 today.....

I don't have much else today, kinda busy.

What I am listening to as I type this:  White Town - Your Woman

April 25, 2005

That was a quick trip, lots of car time, and I set records for "longest time it took me to drive 700 miles".  I was stopping about every 100 miles or so for either food, rest, casinos (who knew there's only slots at the council bluffs casino?!  that was a waste of time to stop, i hate slots and refused to play), rest stops, gas, etc.  It took me forever to get back to Iowa (12 hours) and about the same to get back to Denver, ridiculous.  Worth it?  Yes.  They played "Get This or Die" and "Everything Ends" ... 2 songs I had never seen them play before.  Still no Gently, a lot of the same stuff, I lost my coveted pinky ring, VERY upset about this....VERY upset.  No new wounds, I stayed out of the pits for a lot of the show with occasional songs here and there, I'd say I went in the big one 6 or 4 times maybe, and got up to the front/center for the last song and the picture-taking part.  All in all, it was worth the drive, imagine that.  Also got to go out in Ames for a night, hadn't been out there in awhile.  Was out until about 5am, then woke up early to start driving home, got home late last night.   Pictures will be posted soon, I promise...but for now, I've got work to do.   Adios.

What I am listening to as I type this:  Slipknot - Skin Ticket

April 22, 2005

I'm driving to work today and Willie B. (who is back on the Locker Room since D-Mak quit) says "We've got a HUGE concert announcement coming up.  I'll give you a clue, it's probably the coolest song we currently play on the radio.  If someone calls in and requests the song we'll hook you up."  Immediately I think "HOLY SHIT!! SYSTEM OF A DOWN!!"  So I call up, and Willie himself answers and says "Do you think a 6 pack of ramen noodles will flush down the toilet?"   And I say "Uhm, sure"  He says "Hold on".  Next thing I know, I'm on the radio in some contest vs. some other chick who doesn't think they'll flush.  Winner gets $200.  I didn't win.  I didn't get a chance to request System, and a few minutes later, BYOB comes on and they announce that next week - System of a Down is playing at the Ogden (TINY venue) in a series of TINY shows in like 5 or 6 cities with big metal scenes around the country (I think they're shooting a video).    Tickets go on sale day-of and the show is next Wednesday!  No chance I'll get tickets, but I could have won them if I wouldn't have gotten in this stupid-ass ramen-noodle-toilet-flush contest that I didn't know was even on the air, I would have won!  Guess I called the contest line instead of the request line, oops.

I'm going to Iowa after work tonight.  I didn't call anyone so don't lay a guilt trip on me, I'll have basically no time to see anyone unless you're going to the Slipknot show, I arrive at 3am on Saturday morning, get out of the concert around 11:30, then back to Denver around 7 or 8am.  Quick trip.  So today, the final Slipknot MP3 of the week is posted, classic.  And I'll leave you with yesterday's Achewood (thanks Cameron, for getting me hooked on this. after months of me saying "I don't get it" day after day, it's finally funny to me)... it cracked me up (as usual):

What I am listening to as I type this:  Better Than Ezra - Summerhouse

April 21, 2005

Put Slipknot concert #4 on the list of shows Bryan has attended, with #5 coming this Saturday.  My ears hurt.  I'm not going to discuss much of the show as I don't want to spoil it for everyone I'm going with on Saturday.  They DID play the 3 songs I wanted them to play (as MP3's of the week so far) but they didn't play 3 songs I really wanted to see, one of them which I've never seen.  They didn't play Purity (seen it) or Iowa (seen it), and they didn't play Gently - never seen that one, I'd LOVE to see that song live.  It shall be the MP3 of the day in hopes they will possibly play it in Ames....  and Lamb of God kicked ass as an opening act.  Although I have their album, I didn't even know what the guy looked like.  I have no idea how that dude can produce a voice like that, wow.  They got to play an extra-long set as the singer of the the first opening act died, so they had to fill his slot.

Not too many war-wounds this time.  I was in the pit the whole show, never made it to the front.  I was always in the 15-25 feet from the stage range, enough to get hit countless times by Corey's usual plethora of water bottles he tosses into the crowd.  I learned my lesson at the last show and just took my shirt off and put it in my cargo pocket before they even started.  I lost my bracelet during the first song, but I don't care because it's a bracelet I literally found on the street about 5 months ago, not my coveted black-ivory and silver bracelet (as seen here in a strange old picture of me) I wear everywhere, I was smart enough to not wear that!   Anyways, my only war wounds are a quarter-sized bruise on my left biecps and a big slice/chunk got taken out of my left shoulder blade.  The muscles are a bit sore, but this is nothing compared to how I felt after last time.  It's still (literally) a better and more difficult workout than running 8 miles.

I was able to keep my composure, no killing people in the mosh pit this time.  Only one guy pissed me off all night as he was throwing elbows, so to say the least, I took care of him, I didn't see him the rest of the night.

Highlights of the night, in no particular order:
1) the random fists you give people after a song as you see how insanely happy they are to be there
2) I went to Catholic school, in football, one of our coaches - Coach Sexton, always said "we play Christian football.  We'll help the guys up, but then we'll knock them right back down again!"  That's what I did all night, just hit people all night, then help them up
3) In the beer line before the show, some guy in a pig mask got carded and handed the chick his ID without removing his mask and just looked at her.
4) I somehow managed to tie my shoe during the chorus of The Nameless .. during the "never wanted anybody more than i wanted you" part -- got it fully tied before the pits fired up again.

Great show, can't wait to do it again in just over 2 days.

What I am listening to as I type this:  Ant Banks - The Drunken Fool

April 20, 2005

What's up fools?  I'm very busy so this'll be short.  Slipknot show tonight - and as usual for the week, MP3 is up....  If anyone can find me a plane ticket to Des Moines from Denver to arrive Friday and return Sunday for $180 or less, I'll take it -- but even $181 is too expensive.  I figure 5 tanks of gas at $33/ea (damn gas prices) is $165, I'll pay an extra $15 for a flight....gotta add on about $25 for parking.  I can't afford it, but it'd be worth it.  Slipknot twice in a week, wow......  but Corey is sick, they've cancelled their last 2 shows (including last night in Salt Lake City) so hopefully these shows don't get cancelled.

Columbine anniversary is today, luckily I didn't live here yet when that happened, that sounds like madness.  In my 4 years here I've talked to so many people who were in the school during that, man, talk about a nightmare.

Gotta get to work, sorry, really gettin' slammed here this week.   Random Thoughts VI should keep you occupied, or talk in the forums or sign my guestbook.... man I don't know, just keep yourselves busy.  I'll give you a topic, the Holy Roman Empire was neither holy nor an empire...discuss.

What I am listening to as I type this:  Lamb of God - What I've Become

April 19, 2005

Know what tomorrow is?  That's right, for the first time since last May I'll be seeing Slipknot in concert.  The greatest live band in music today...and I get to see them twice over a 4 day time span, this is the stuff dreams are made of.

Ran a miserable 2 miles this morning and lifted too, I'll need to run some more after work.  Taking time off of running for LASIK destroyed my time, I need to work my ass off to get this goal of mine now.  I could only run 7:50 minute miles this morning, which is downright pathetic.  I need to be able to run 6.2 at a 7:15 pace in 6 weeks!!  Kicking it into high gear, effective last Thursday.

So I was at the store last night shopping, I never realized how much it is worth it to upgrade your hamburger.  If you buy the 93% lean ground beef, there's 40 grams of fat per pound, but if you simply upgrade $0.20 more per pound to get the 96%, it cuts it down to 16 grams of fat!! That's just ridiculous!  Laugh all you want, but I only buy my meat at Wal-Mart.  The 96% stuff is only $3.28/lb REGULAR PRICE!! I love that new Wal-Mart, gallons of milk = $2, the monster sized chunky soups are $1.50....I could go on but you don't care.

Brian Roberts is my start-of-the-season fantasy baseball MVP.....easily.

Hell, it isn't ready but I've go to post it before they pick a new Pope, here ya go - Random Thoughts VI....  and we'll continue with Slipknot week of the MP3 page....

What I am listening to as I type this:  System of a Down - P.L.U.C.K.

April 18, 2005

What a kickass weekend, that ruled.  Jessica and I went up and stayed at my place in Silverthorn on Friday night.  We went to the Dillon Dam Brewery for dinner then went back to the place and relaxed.  Saturday morning we went outlet-mall shopping, then cleaned all my stuff out of the condo as it'll be my last time staying there.   Met up with Scandrett and Katie and their friend Donato as Donato lives up there.   We were going to scalp Snoop tickets but just went to the bar where he was going after the show.  He was there but never showed up on the stage like he was supposed to... his DJ was playing and announced that "Snoop was in the house" but we never got to see him....so who knows if he was actually there...but the camera was ready for a sighting!

Yesterday morning we woke up and drove to Denver and went straight to Elitch Gardens (6 Flags).... wow.  I've driven by it countless times but never gone in - that place rules.  We stayed until it closed, rode every thrill ride they have and several other rides.  I was most impressed by the half-pipe and the tower of doom.  When I was younger I wouldn't even get on the wooden roller-coasters but the only time I was ever nervous was riding up the tower of doom ...  and that wasn't that bad.  But seriously- if you ever get a chance to ride a half-pipe ride - DO IT! Wow it ruled.  I had never been on a flying-coaster or hanging-coaster before either, so those were very enjoyable.  It was just a great time....wonderful time.   There's pix and videos on the pictures page already so check 'em out.....

Picture Pages 101:  I have revamped the pictures pages and here's how they'll work.  The drop-down on the main page will now have links only to the Misc. Colorado Page, Misc. Iowa Page, and each trip that isn't within Iowa or Colorado.    Every picture taken in Colorado (besides hiking) go on the Misc. Colorado Page.  There is no more separate page for "Boulder Kinetics" or "Opening Day" or anything like that.... so today, everything new is on "Misc. Colorado Pics" under the April page -- pretty easy to navigate....hope you like it.  I still have some random pictures I need to get organized, they're getting re-indexed as well as re-organized on the site, so yeah -- blah.

2 days until Slipknot......2 more days.....

What I am listening to as I type this:  System of a Down - Bounce

April 15, 2005

I've been neglecting you this week, I'm sorry - I'm just busy, been pretty productive at work....  trying to knock a ton of shit off my desk that's been on here forever.  I figure, hey, I've got perfect eyes now, the weather is getting warm -- why not just excel at everything for once in my life with nothing to hold me back?   But I haven't run since my surgery, and I ran yesterday and it was downright pathetic.  I'm so upset with myself, I seriously can't believe how horrible of a run I had, it was awful.

I bought the special edition Subliminal Verses 2 cd set the other day...it's ok I guess.  The extended version of Danger: Keep Away is pretty sweet.  I already had Scream.   That Don't Get Close song isn't very good.  I can't tell much of a difference in the remix of Vermilion.   The Blister Exists, Three Nil, and People=Shit live are all VERY cool, but I already had the live version of Disasterpiece as they just pulled it from the DVD.  Point being - it's worth the buy if you're a fanatic like me, but otherwise, save your money.  Man it pains me to say that, I just told you to NOT buy a Slipknot album.  You heard it here first, folks.

Jess and I are going up to my condo in Silverthorn tonight for one last night, probably just chill out tonight, then tomorrow spend the day up there, and come back mid-day before the skier traffic hits us hard.  Sunday we're going to 6 Flags Elitch Gardens.  I've never been there during my tenure in Denver....I'm not scared of any rides at amusement parks except for wooden rollercoasters, those things scare the shit out of me.  I'm scared of heights tremendously, but not if I have a shoulder-strap deal.  At the wooden rollercoasters in Des Moines and KC, you just get a lap-bar.  I HATE lap-bars...I need a shoulder thing or I'm scared.  So yeah...that's my weekend in a bloody big nutshell.

Laetitia needs an oil change before my venutre to Ames for the Slipknot show next week.  I'm trying desperatly to get meet & greet tickets for the Denver show.  I'd kill Robin Williams for those tickets.  Hell, you could even reverse that staement and it'd be true.  I'd give up Slipknot meet & greet tickets to kill Robin Williams!  Or Julia Roberts - take your pick.  Why do all females think Julia Roberts and Gwen Stefani are hot?  They're both fideous. (if you use "fugly" I can use "fideous")

Random Thoughts VI is almost done....it's weird..... as if Random Thoughts V wasn't weird enough, here's an exerpt of how strange this one is:
If a mushroom were a mammal, I wonder if its dick would have a head shaped like a human.  If it was still the shape of a mushroom, would a female mushroom giving a male mushroom head be the same as kissing?

New MP3 is up...I can't believe that I never really understood what the lyrics of this one meant until I listened to it on my drive home yesterday....blatently obvious.   New pic of the day is up too, and hopefully I'll have a bunch of pictures for you next week.  Have a wonderful and safe weekend, and let me know who you are if you haven't already.

What I am listening to as I type this:  The Locker Room Post-Game Show

April 14, 2005

Really busy so this'll be short.....

Last night I was driving home from work, listening to Uncle Nasty on 'BPI.   The contest of the day was guess what movie this line is from....then they played a line from National Lampoon's Vacation....they said they'd start taking calls with caller 10 for...... SLIPKNOT MEET & GREET TICKETS!!!!  That's right, meet and hang out with the band at a big BBQ before the concert, giddy up.  I call, busy, busy, busy, busy....RING RING!!!

They pick up, " 'BPI, Caller 8"  click.      SHIT!! SO CLOSE!! Call back, busy - busy - busy - busy - busy - busy - busy - busy - busy - busy - busy, infinite busy signal.

So the chick gets on the air, get's it right, Nasty says to her "Are you pumped to go see Slipknot?"  She replies "I don't even know who they are I just wanted to prove to my husband that I knew the answer to the question."

This bitch needs to go into a burning building with Johnny from the Outsiders and the chick that won the Av's mirror I wanted a few years ago who didn't even like hockey.  I hate prize winners who don't appreciate the prize becuase they don't realize what they have.  Back to work, adios.

Too busy, sorry

What I am listening to as I type this:  Stone Sour - Get Inside

April 12, 2005

Please wring the blood from my hands.  Don't attempt to understand me, I don't even want you looking at me.  Mutherfucker, get inside. GET INSIDE!! GET INSIDE!!! MUTHERFUCKER!!!!!!! GET INSIDE!! GET INSIDE!! MUTHERFUCKER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   This song jams....but so does this entire CD....  By the way...we're a mere 8 days from Slipknot concert #1......whoa......the madness is near.  Metal Injection has an interview with Chris Fehn (precussion, big nose) and the Heretic Anthem (liver concert) from the Disasterpieces DVD on their latest edition - check it out if you want.

I've told it 200 times over the last day...and I'm sick of telling it...so here it goes one more time:
I got to the Doc's office around 8:45 a.m. last Thursday.  After paying a lot of money with my Discover Card, they took me to the back room. Here they gave me a valium (which did nothing), put a hair net on me, some pads under my ears (so eye drops wouldn't trickle down into them), and bootie things over my birkenstocks.  Why over the birkenstocks?  I have no idea.  Anyways, they gave me all my eye drops, put some numbing drops in my eyes, told me about all my post-op requirements, and told me to sit there with my eyes closed until the doctor was ready for me.  Jessica came back and took pictures of me sitting there looking like a tool with my eyes closed, if she emails them to me, I'll post them.  At about 9:20, they took me into the surgery room.   I sat down in what looked like a dentist's chair.  They fixed my head into this pillow-type-contraption that molded around my head tightly and then they tilted the chair back so my body was parallel to the ground.  From here they gave me more numbing drops just in case.  Let's start with the right eye.  Picture a hose clamp...they put something similar to this around my eye and tighten it so my eyeball can't move, and the sides go up high so I can't blink.  This process took about 20 seconds.  Then they took this little device that looked like a mini garden-claw and basically garden-clawed my eye.  Then they put this suction device over my eye.  This is very uncomfortable.  It doesn't suck, but it has suction - does that make sense?  I mean - it's not like vacuum.  This goes tight to your eye and you go blind -- it is circular.  Once it is tight and you are blind, they loosen the suction and you get your vision back.  Then a blade was taken and an incision was made around the eyeball -- total time in the chair at this point is upwards of 1 1/2 minutes.  They then peel back what they sliced, sorta like peeling a banana, and your vision goes to complete hell.   I mean, the red light I was staring at which was about a needle-point in size, looked like Pee-Wee Herman's tin foil ball in size.  They then say "Ok, the laser is going to start now, 30 seconds on this eye...just look right at the red light"....then you hear this "tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick" sound for 30 seconds, and they say "DONE!"  Then they slowly place the flap back down on your eyeball, using a sponge to make sure it goes back down smooth and with no bubbles or creases.  In my case, they have to use a frickin' swifter instead of a sponge because apparently my eyelashes are about 2 yards long or something. Humph.    Then they did the same thing for the second eye, only that eye took 36 seconds on the laser instead of just 30.  I was back in the car by 9:40.  I went home, sat on the couch, ate some food, slept slept slept, yadda yadda yadda...now I can see perfect without glasses.  Yup, so that's the story of how Bryan got LASIK done on April 7, 2005.  Hope you loved it.

Remember on September 21, 2004 when I wrote this:
It's not news to any of you that my eyes have been having MAJOR issues lately because I haven't stopped bitching about it since early August. Anyways, late last night, I'm going through about my 3rd round of eyedrops and cleaning shit out of my eye (don't ask) -- my left eye is about 1000 times worse than the right, trust me. So last night I have my eyelid flipped back on my left eye and I see an eyelash way up in there. When your eyes water all day like mine, you lose eyelashes by the dozen, I'm surprised I have any left. So I lightly dab my finger on my eyeball to get the lash out and I realize it's not a lash - but a hair. I grab it and pull - I have no idea how a hair this long got in my eye - but I shit you not, it was no shorter than 2 inches. Now that may not be that big to you, but hold your hand out - realize how big 2 inches is - then realize there's a hair in your eye that big. As I'm pulling this hair out of my eye from under my eye skin up behind my eyeball - it's just caked with shit - I mean caked. Picture taking a tongue depressor.....this tongue depressor is the hair. Now dip the tongue depressor in tar and pick it up. Can you even tell it's a tongue depressor except for the part that is still a stick? Nope. The only way I could tell this was hair was by the part that was still on the eyeball and not back behind it. All this eye matter shit was all over it. I can only imagine how long it's been there. I may have found the source of my recent eye problems. Hopefully this fixes some stuff. Nasty huh? I thought it was cool. Even cooler than the time I got a thing of ear wax the size of a june bug out of my ear with a Q-Tip like 5 years ago, man that was cool - probably the best moment of my life.

Man, that ruled - that's literally my favorite true story I've ever written.  i wish more cool stuff like that still happened to me.

Cookie Monster is on a diet....this is dumb, but it inspired the MP3 of the day.

Beaver Creek and Keystone closed for the year :o(  Think I'll head up to my condo for the weekend anyways, but no snowboarding is in the forecast, and I'm bailing on the Snoop concert as well.  Just gonna "move out" of the winter home and spend one more night up there.  Maybe do some clerance shopping for some new pants and stuff, I could use some white camos.

First off - if you've sent me email since Friday morning, I didn't get it....my web host was hosed for some reason.

What a cool song title.  I can see!  Snow is everywhere....   hell, let's just do the news in pictures format today.  These are from an hour after surgery, Saturday, and driving to work this morning (without glasses!).....

(I deleted the pictures from here for bandwidth reasons.....they can be found on the Misc. Colorado April 2005 page)

I CAN SEE!! I CAN SEE!! I CAN SEE!! I CAN SEE!! Surgery ruled, it was entirely too weird to tell you the truth, and I was nervous as hell and was shaking during the surgery as I was so nervous and frightened....but now...less than 24 hours later -- I CAN SEE!! I'll report back in the forums after I go to my post-op.

GO DU!! Looks like the Pioneers could capture the NCAA Hockey championship again, giggidy. I met Mitch in my dream last night...very nice guy. And for those of you who don't know, I STRONGLY believe that if you talk to someone who is dead in your dream -- you really met them...seriously. Mitch = top notch guy, couldn't be happier this morning after waking up to perfect vision and meeting Mitch Hedberg.

mid 70's yesterday, mid 70's today...then 2 feet of snow on Sunday. It's looking like almost as much snow as the big storm a few years back -- this could rock! This could mean I get to snowboard again this year after all! Ok, time to go make breakfast and shower and go see the doc! I love the fact that my neighbor has a wireless internet connection ;o)

WOOOO!! Look at that countdown above! Tomorrow ... yeah.  Rock on!   Laetitia is also getting a new muffler tomorrow, I delayed that long enough - she'll be as good as new....when it's done snowing she gets a new windshield too, she can't wait.  I also bought her some new hyper-whites for her side-markers yesterday, they've been burnt out for like a year I think.  Snoop is under 10 days away, Slipknot is fast approaching, I may get to go snowboarding again after all -- things are looking good!

I put up all Easter, Grandma, and Opening Day pix yesterday.  The pix page will be undergoing another dramatically large change (to me) shortly, hopefully it'll be easier to get around on.  The CO and IA pages are somewhat done, and this discombobulated messes of pages I used to have labeled "Misc. CO" and "Misc. IA" are now organized nicely, hope it helps.  About 1/2 of the things on the menu are going to be consolidated down into those 2 pages I created.....and those 2 pages are also where all of yesterday's pix are, you can go find them yourself.

Since I won't be here tomorrow as I'm having LASIK done, I must mention, as I do every year on this page, that tomorrow (April 7) would be Ryan's 27th birthday had he not passed away almost 7 years ago.   Each year on Ryan's birthday and anniversary of his death I play a song that makes him immediately pop into my head.  What is today's song?  I guess you'll have to go look for yourself.  Happy birthday, Ryan.

Grandma's 90th birthday went perfectly and wonderfully.  Opening day has come and gone.  Surgery is in...well, just look above to see how long.  I am very tired.  I have about 131 pictures to put up sometime, I just need to find the time to do it.  They're from the Grizzly Rose, Easter, Grandma's birthday, and Opening day.  I'll have them up tomorrow at the latest -- perhaps later today, we'll see.

Let's do an MP3 for Mitch today as I'm still very upset about his passing.....enjoy.

Mitch Hedberg has passed away, I can't believe it, just can't believe it.   Heart failure.  Thanks for the infinite laughs you've provided my life with.   Rest in peace.
