HAPPY HALLOWEEN!! I'm in costume today at work....I'll post a pic later, we're taking an office picture around 11ish I think.....it'll be pic of the day.

Special Halloween MP3 of the day is up today.  Special Halloween Wil$on pic of the day is up today.  Hell, I'll even throw my old-school Jason Voorhees picture up there with my Friday the 13th sound I love so much.  I'm just all Halloweened-out today!  I just watched Freddy vs. Jason last night...so I'm all in scary-movie mode.

Well, a tradition is broken.  The past 3 years I've gone to a Halloween party at Wooderson's place, but no longer.  He's not having it this year.  I'll be at Carrie's party on Saturday night - should be a good time!  Hopefully the weather is nicer than last year.

I've got quite a bit to do today so I'll leave it at that.  Have a great and safe weekend!

October 28, 2004

no time for this right now - very busy.   maybe later

October 27, 2004

Please pray for a friend of mine who lost his father a few days ago.

The Red Sox could actually win the World Series - wow, who knew?  I thought for sure it'd be the Royals this year.  Oh wait......

I!!! am a world before I am a man.  I!!! was a creature before I could stand.  I!! will remember before I forget.....BEFORE I FORGET THIS!!!!  Sorry, got to singing along.  I kinda like this cd.

I need to go get the Red Baron tuned this week before the season creeps up on me.  Time to get the edges sharpened and a good 'ol wax jobby job.

New MP3 is up....

Going to the CU/Texas game in Boulder on Saturday then to Carrie's party -- scored some free tickets to the game so that should be pretty cool.  Probably lay low on Friday night then watch the Seahawks try to rebound at home against the Panthers on Sunday -- we hope, we hope.....

October 26, 2004

I guess that should put an end to the Seahawks/Cardinals trash-talking.  I don't think the Bungles are any better than the Cards.  Went to Old C's to watch the game last night - and wow - for some reason there was people there!  There was even attractive women there for once!  Strange.  But yeah, basically just watched the game last night, that's about it.  I ended up with about 46 points in Old C's pool.  Lost in Iowa FF - and tore apart my league in Denver FF, I have a stronghold lead there.

There are 2 new things in the "it doesn't get much better than this" file from this past week........

It doesn't get much better than this when......your radio-alarm goes off at 6a.m. on Monday and Tuesday and both days, Slipknot's Duality is the song playing on the radio.
It doesn't get much better than this when......you get home and see the mail - it's the new Playboy -- and the 2nd hottest woman on the planet, Brooke Burke, is on the cover.

This Jurassic 5 group appears to be the real deal.  They got me to break out some of my rap cd's I bought right before I stopped listening - some of the last good stuff.   Like Jeru the Damaja and The Roots.  I guess there is some hope for me.

So what's going on this week?  Somehow I need to squeeze in the World Series games (brought to you in HD, by the way :) ) but I need to put the finishing touches on my halloween costume, get a new driver's license, do an early-vote for Kerry, Ken Salazar  (as the commercial says -- Pete Coors, sure, his beer is good, but his views are hard to swallow.  Funny stuff), and the pro-light-rail (don't want to fight the lines), and quite a couple of other things.

I've been dreaming about snow and the mountains -- and the time is almost here.  Beaver Creek is November 20, I think I'm going to make that my first day.  Giddy the funk up!  That's all for now.  have a good Tuesday!

October 25, 2004

Sorry for the lack of updates lately, I've been really busy.  Had a pretty chill weekend.  Didn't do much on Friday, was home by 10.  Saturday I was worthless all day then went to a corn maze and to the yard house for awhile at night. Yesterday I watched the Seachickens in a horrible performance against the Cards then watched the BoSox win again.  I can't wait to run again, I'm without energy when I'm not running.

I've found rap that's good!  It took about 6 years of hiatus, but there's finally decent rap music again! I know I know, they've been around a long time - but I had never listened to them until last week -- Jurassic 5.  Wow, they're a damn good group, in fact, they're the MP3 of the day.

Got your Halloween costume yet?  I really need to get on that here shortly, I know what I'm going to be but I haven't found the shirt yet - it'll be sweeeeet.  I'll be at Carrie's party on Saturday night, other than that, will probably - yet again - chill - just like the outside weather.

A-Basin and Loveland are open for the snowboard season.  I talked to Wooderson last night, I might be buying another new board.  Still need to get snowshoes and new boarding boots first though -- in due time.

Pic of the day and Wil$on pic are new and posted - but that's it for now.  I'm out, have a good week, and yes - I'll update the site this week.

October 22, 2004

Sorry, I've had stuff to do - still have stuff to do.  I might update later - check back.

October 18, 2004

Excellent weekend, busy at work - pix up shortly.  Cyclones lost.  Seahawks lost.  Fantasy Football (iowa) won.  Fantasy football (Denver) lost  -- both fantasy leagues were as a result of Daunte Culpepper -- win on the team i had him, lost the team i played against him.  Did good in the Old C's pool.

Kris, Tamra, Jeremy, and Hornick made the excursion - we had fun, pix will be up later....gotta hop to it now.  Oh - yes, the site was hacked this morning, but it's under control.  And just a note to all the dipshits putting ads in my guestbook - I delete them first thing in the morning every day, so don't waste your time.  Keep posting shit like that and I'll take it down.

October 14, 2004

I have some personal shit to attend to tomorrow, so I won't be back until Monday.  I'm really busy today too so I don't have time for this, talk to you soon.  GO CYCLONES!! GO SEAHAWKS!!!

October 13, 2004

I CAN'T BELIEVE THE STORM WON THE WNBA TITLE!!! Holy shit, talk about a nail biter!  I couldn't even sleep last night I was sofa king excited. This more than makes up for Seattle's heartbreaking loss to the Rams last weekend.  Durrrrrrrrrrr

Well shit, it just got cold out of nowhere....but that never happens here so I'm not used to it ;o)

What a game last night huh?  I thought for a minute there the Bo-Sox were going to pull it off.  Still a sweet game though.  And I'm officially addicted to HDTV - there's no other way to watch sports any more.  No way.

Oh man I can't wait until tonight....since mid-May I've been waiting for this day.  The Av's first game of the season is tonight - the Kings are going down in a burning ring of fire!  Oh wait...........maybe not.  And next year at this time, I bet you $10,000 I say the same thing.  Fucking holdout.  What am I going to do all winter now?!  Watch basketball?  Yeah right, I'm not that desperate.  Guess I'll just, uhm, watch my music DVD's or something.....speaking of....

We're a mere 13 days away from the release of The Dehumanizing Process -- the new DVD by Chimaira.  Check this deal out -- this is sweet -- for $26 you get the DVD - which sounds incredibly sick.  You also get their first unreleased 8 track EP that you can't buy, and a t-shirt.  This DVD sounds sweet.  The highlight of it is supposed to show them on the road, writing the album, recording the album, and touring.  As a small additive (and the main reason I want it) -- they've included a full concert on dvd as well.  Sweet....I've seen them 3 times in the past year, now I can see them weekly, this shall rock.

Any catch the Vermilion video by Slipknot?  It came out this week as well -- yesterday to be exact.  It is almost disgusting it's so damn cool, and you know I'm hosting it in quicktime format!  Download it if you'd like.  Vermilion Pt. 2 will be released on video as well -- but not yet...soon according to RoadRunner.....

Debates Round 3 tonight - be there!  I've got some things to do tonight -- lots of them...I'll be calling some of you tonight, yup - sure will.

October 12, 2004

Ok I'm in less of a shitty mood today, I've realized that we needed that loss to keep our heads in check.  We have the Patriots this week, and while hard to go on the road over-confident against a team who hasn't lost in over a year, I think we would have been.  Now we can focus on winning a game against an all-around stellar team on the road.  New England - here come the Seahawks!  Things are also looking bright in fantasy....Javon Walker and Ryan Longwell brought home the gold (although I was wrong in my prediction that Favre would light it up last night - NEVER bet against Favre the week after a relative dies) and brought me to 5-0 on the season, but Cruz is on the comeback trail, down by only 40.  I did horrible in my pick-em league again this week - probably got about 55 points or so, pathetic.  Ah well....the season(s) are still young.

I went to the Motograter concert with Rikelle and Janelle last night.  The opening act sucked ass, and I didn't stay for Dope (the headliner), but Motograter put on a sweet set.  They called up all the singers from local bands and all sang a rendition of "Roots Bloody Roots" (an old Sepultura song) together -- that was very cool.

We again, have visitors coming to town for the weekend.  This weekend, Kris, Tamra, Hornick, and Jeremy will be gracing us with their presence for the Iowa State/Colorado game.  This plans on being yet another good weekend.  In fact, I can't even think back to when my last "bad weekend" was.  I'm on a great streak lately.

Less than 6 months until the 4th annual Rockies Opening Day party!! Let the countdown begin!   31 days until Keystone and Breckenridge are open for the season!  Only 39 days until Beaver Creek opening day!!  Less than 4 months until the Super Bowl....oh man....

Trips to Boston and Vancouver are being arranged as we speak......

New MP3, Wil-$tone picture, and pic of the day are up - ENJOY!

October 11, 2004

I know we fucking lost, stop with the phone calls.  And FYI - I disabled text messaging on my phone this morning because I hate those damn things and was getting severely annoyed with them.  I'm going to the Motograter concert tonight.  Have a good one.

October 08, 2004

TGIF - woo hoo!  It's Friday!  Tonight I'm going to the Yard House for Heidi's birthday right after work.  Apparently Natalie is having her b-day events downtown tonight, not sure if I'll make it there or not.  I kind of want to watch the debate tonight to see what's up.  My major focus on voting is the unemployment and the economy - so I'd like to watch tonight, just so I can make my confidence higher that I'll be voting the right way.

I really haven't got plans at all this weekend.  Probably head on over to Carrie's place tomorrow to chill out and BBQ or something, lay low - it's key, certainly is.

Andy bought the SNL version of Trivial Pursuit - holy shit - talk about a hard game.  I figured between the two of us we'd have it mastered.  After reading those questions - holy shit I feel stupid.  I bet Klaver can't even get half of 'em!  Yes, I realize that's a bold statement.

Seahawks/Rams - 2:00p.m. MST.  Watch our secondary prove themselves against Bruce and Holt......we have some tough road games coming up (Patriots, Vikings, Jets, etc.) so we need all the early help we can get -- shit -- if we take 1 of 3 of those 3 road games I just listed, I'll be happy.  I'm not counting any chickens before they're hatched this year -- so I'll wait until next week to comment on the Pats, right now we need to focus on the Rams - they're a tough team....but so are we ;o)

Yeah, I realize yesterday's MP3 was a pile of shit, I'll put up a new one today to make up for it.  Happy weekend!   1 week until the CU/ISU football game up in Boulder when the Cyclones make a valiant return to my neck of the woods, giddy up.  Adios todos, be safe.

October 07, 2004

75% of my time holding the age of 25 is complete today, pretty interesting huh?   I went to Comedy Works with John and his roomy last night, was a pretty good time - funny guys.  I don't remember their names, but it was funny stuff.

Tonight is a big gym night, then house cleaning and laundry night again.  I ordered a mount for one of my snowboards to be wall-mounted (per Aly's suggestion) yesterday, we'll see how it works out, if it works out well I suppose I'll buy another :)  Saturday I'm going to putting Laetitia in snowboard mode (seen there on top of a 14er!) for the winter.

I'm still in first at Old C's - in fact, my lead grew by 3 points - who knew?  I beat Towns in the Denver league, so I've got a solid lead there.  Now the Seahawks just have to take out the Rams in Seattle, and I need my K-F-Sea-Chickens to win without Holmes and Owens and I'm money ;o)

I'm now listening to Skindred - Brainkiller.  What a change, I just went from James Taylor to Skindred.  I love random mode on Winamp!!

I put up the pictures of MACKTOBERFEST(copyright sign) yesterday - go look at 'em.  I'll slap up a new MP3 and new Wil$on picture for ya too - enjoy!

October 06, 2004

One of my all time favorite comedians has died.  Rest in peace, Rodney.

My fantasy baseball team finished 3rd this season, not too shabby.  I again won in football, only God knows how.  I don't even want to know how I did in my Old Chicago pool, probably lost my first place standing there :o/  As for MLB - I'm cheering for the Astros this year.  Go Beltran!  I've always like Craig Biggio too.

It rains too much.  Ok - honestly, I'm really busy.  I PROMISE I'll post pictures later today (UPDATE: THEY'RE UP NOW) - so check back.

October 05, 2004

Very busy today - tomorrow I may update.

October 04, 2004

MACKTOBERFEST has come and gone all too quickly.  The quote of the day sums it up, and the pictures will more than prove that -- I may get them up tonight, otherwise look for them tomorrow.

Aly and Matthew came from Iowa to attend the festivities.  We attend the PCL on Friday night, Saturday (while doing shopping in the afternoon, while successfully only purchasing a delicious Orange Julius), we headed to the M.A.B.F. (known to the layperson as G.A.B.F.)....pretty cool time, pictures will again tell the tale.  Sunday was driving through Rocky Mountain National Park with Aly, Matthew, and Chava (who get's damn close to "Aja" in the "unique-way-to-spell-a-name" contest).  Aly is more than welcome to move in with me forever for more reasons than I can state.

Now here I sit at work, actually with a lot of shit to get done, so that's all for you today, sorry.  And for those of you who missed out this weekend...well, there's always another year.   If Priest Holmes + Baltimore's Defense gets 6 points combined for me tonight, I remain the overall leader in Denver Fantasy Football, probably lost my lead in the Old C's league though, I did horrible yesterday thanks to the Browns, Chargers, and Cardinals.  Damn.

October 01, 2004

October already?!  Holy shyte.  MACKTOBERFEST is this weekend.  I got a call from Aly and Renze last night - they're in the middle of Nebraska as we type en route to lovely Gotham City....er....wherever they shot The Crow.... er..... Denver - the city where the rain never stops.

I'll share the secret.  Most of my direct friends (people I interact with day-to-day) know I buy all sorts of obscure items on ebay, shampoo and razor blades, por ejemplo.  In the past 2 years - my guilty pleasure has been buying magazines.  Maxim 5 years for $8, ESPN 4 years for $12, but today - I broke my record for cheapest magazine subscription - check it.  Sweet.

So I'm in the gas station this morning, of course, I was about to go insane.  Don't you hate those dipshits in front of you at the gas station why buy like 8 scratch cards?  They don't move after they buy them, they scratch them right there to see if they won and then cash them in.  In the meanwhile, about 20 people build up in line.  Of course, I'm always the one directly behind him who can't get around him.  He wins, he buys 5 more, scratches them.  This goes on for a good 2-3 minutes.  Finally I say, "Can I get through here?" and just kind of put my arm in his face to hand the cashier my juice.  The cashier says "$1.48" or something.  I only have a $10.  Now I don't think a ten dollar bill is a tremendously large denomination, but the clerk looks at me sternly and says "Don't you have anything smaller?"    Huh? Seriously?  "No, I don't.  It's not like it's a $100 bill or anything" I say to him.  He says "You're supposed to use the smallest bills possible."  I just said nothing, grabbed my change, and walked away while dipshit #1 was scratching his lotto ticket.  The place didn't even sell Powerball.  What a dump.

The debates - oh the debates.  What did I learn from the debates?  Other than reassuring myself that Barbara Bush (the young one!) is reaching close to supermodel status, I learned that Kerry and Bush are complete jackasses.  Oh wait, I already knew that.  The only thing Bush talked about was "You voted on the war too, you flip-flopper." then Kerry would say "I never wanted to go to war the way you went." etc. etc. etc.  This pattern repeated itself for an hour and a half.  Highlight of the night, when Bush just said something like "Let me say something" and Kerry said "Sure, be my guest, change the rules".  That was funny.  All in all, I really do think Kerry won the debate - and he finally set in stone some of the issues he stands on so the voters know what his stance is, and he gave us concrete things he's going to do.  As of today, I'm still voting for the lesser of the two evils.  I'm just not convinced that Iraq was the right thing to do - to disarm their "WOMD's" (that don't exist) while in the meanwhile we've basically ignored what Iran and North Korea have been doing WHEN THEY HAVE AND HAVE ADMITTED THEY HAVE WOMD'S!  Hmmmmmm....alot more things are factored in to my current vote as well, but blah blah blah - it's Friday, let's move on.

Tonight is PCL night.  Tomorrow I'm not sure of the day, but the evening is the GABF.  Sunday will likely be Estes Park and/or Rocky Mountain National Park day. Giddy the funk up.  Have a great MACKTOBERFEST - the Seahawks are BYE this week.  Go CYCLONES!  Oh - new MP3 for you.
