August 31, 2004

I've decided that I'm getting LASIK done in April no matter what.  I'm sick of dealing with these shitty eyes that never work.  If it's allergy season, they're red.  If I'm around a cat or some dogs - they're red.  If I wear my contacts - they're red.  For two hours after I wake up no matter what the situation - they're red.  Now most people's eyes get a little red when they drink or scratch them - you have no idea. If I by chance do wear my contacts for a day - watch our for the next 3 days.  If I sleep in my contacts - it's all over for a week at least. My red eyes are so much different than anyone else.  Picture a heart-shaped box of valentine's day chocolates, now put an iris and pupil inside it...that's my eyes.  I hate wearing my glasses so I don't wear them except work and driving, so I live life near blind (-4.25 prescription on the contacts).  When snowboarding I have no choice but to wear contacts, so my eyes suffer, burn, and itch for about 3 days after I take out the contacts.  People shouldn't have to put up with this.  I'm sick of this shit.  I can't wait until my open-enrollment comes around for flex-pay again so I can get this taken care of, this is just ridiculous.  If God is perfect why did he give everyone eyes that don't work?

Roughly 37 times a year people say "that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard."   So that would mean each time you hear "the dumbest thing you've ever heard" - it's even more stupid than the last.  ("Peter, is this the worst day of your life?"  .... "Yeah, it is".....  "Wow, that's messed up!")  Well, this weekend I heard the dumbest thing I've ever heard.  They now make low-carb dog food.  I can't even think of the proper way to make fun of that so I'll just leave it at that.  Low-carb dog food.  As Bill Simmons would say, I can't make this stuff up.

I watched Platoon last night.  Man I love those war movies.  I didn't realize Johnny Depp was in that.  Anyways, that movie rules.  I didn't walk away from it laughing like Frank Drebin and Jane did though.

Looks like I'm golfing with OGC up by Loveland on Saturday this weekend - giddy up!  I love 3-day weekends.  They just make me want to post a new MP3 of the day and picture of the day.  Wow, what an obscure way to end the daily news.   I'm Ted Koppel and THIS..............................................

Way to go Cael Sanderson!! The ISU Alumni won the gold in his class for Olympic Wrestling!! Giddy up!

That was a great weekend for being "uneventful".  Friday I went out and met up with Chris, Beth and Amanda for awhile for Amanda's birthday.  I didn't stay out too late though because I had to be up at 5am on Saturday, so I went home around 10 or so.  Woke up at 5 bells on Saturday and went and knocked off another 14er on a modest 4.5 - 5 hour hike, nothing big but it was very difficult.  Here's a trip report for ya complete with pictures....

I got home from my hike, ate, and crashed into my bed around 4pm, slept 'till 8 or so, then headed down to the Gothic Theatre with Rikelle to catch the Chimaira/Machine Head concert.  Chimaira, as usual, was phenomenal.  They put on just a fantastic show.  Let me tell you, it was the third time I've seen them in 8 months.  It was the second time I saw them at the Gothic.  When I saw them with Slipknot I was the center of the mosh pit the whole time, throwing elbows, pushing, helping people up, etc.  I could handle that.  I can handle a slipknot or chimaira concert mosh pit at the fillmore, but at the Gothic - wow, there was NO WAY IN HELL I was going in that thing.  Imagine a concert venue with maybe 800-1000 fans (complete guess), all the guys in the pit dwarf me, I'm talking about guys 6'4", 250lbs, solid.  These guys just beat the hell out of each other.  The highlight of this particular show was when Chimaira played my favorite song of theirs, SP Lit - they hadn't played it the first 2 times I saw them.  So he did a crowd chant, he'd scream "EVERY TIME I TRUST YOU" and the crowd yelled "I LOSE IN THE END" -- it was fucking awesome because it's probably my favorite lyric of theirs....(the part right before the chorus rules too - "YOU DESTROY ME EVERY TIME YOU LITTLE CUNT!!!")  -- obviously it's a song about bitches that cheat on you, imagine that, I never listen to songs about that do I? ;o)  Hell - it's the MP3 of the day.

So I was DD on Saturday night, we headed downtown and went to B52's, met up with Josh and Jacob, went home, got to bed around 3 -- (so up since 5, climbed a 14er, ate once, went to chimaira show, and went to bars 'till closing, then drove everyone home - LONG day!)  Sunday I woke up around 7:30, finished laundry, flushed and bled my radiator again (don't ask), fixed a leak in my radiator hose (don't ask - it was my fault, I didn't put the hose clamp back on when I installed a switch 2 weeks ago - oops!), went shopping, cleaned my room, yadda yadda yadda.  Went to Carrie's b-day party for awhile, came home and watched Silence of the Lambs...slept..came to work...updated the website....married Brooke Burke......oh wait...

My fantasy team jumped from 7th place to 5th place over the weekend - right into a playoff spot!  Now watch out, don't call this a comeback!

There's a few new pix up, there's a new Wil$on story up, there's a new Wil$on picture up, there's a trip report up, there's a new MP3 up...hell - there's lots of new stuff, look around.

August 27, 2004

SWEET!! I just figured out a problem that's been bugging me for literally 2 years.  2 things wrong with IE - 1) cannot view source code  2) saves all pix as untitled.bmp and that's it.   The solution?  Delete all your temporary internet files and both problems fix themselves.  Pretty dumb huh?

Tomorrow is the third Chimaira concert I'll have gone to in under a year, what a great year for concerts.  Chimaira 3 times, Slipknot, Deftones, Fleetwood Mac -- just solid.  Four of my top 5 living bands I got to see this year, and the 5th (stone sour) I saw twice last year.  Giddy up.  That above picture is Mark Hunter, lead singer of Chimaira.  I thought it was a sweet picture.

The weather sucks.  It's like 50 degrees and raining out, it's supposed to snow tomorrow above 10K I think, so it looks like our climb will be postponed, hopefully not for too long.  I need to do some more work on my car this weekend, don't ask, please - don't ask.

Carrie's B-day BBQ is on Sunday, but that's probably all the going-out I'm going to do this weekend, I'm pretty broke.  Last paycheck had to last 3 weekends and Sausagefest - that's rare, I usually only have 2 weekends between checks.  I'm going to be pretty broke until my end-of-September check arrives.  With the purchase of a plane ticket, ski pass, shoes, hdtv receiver, and several other toys - and I need to buy new snowboard boots and gloves by the end of Sept., and a Ken Hamlin Seahawks jersey - blah - I'm broke, but livin' good!  Thankfully the Soulfly concert got cancelled, I really don't need to go to 2 concerts in 3 days (it was supposed to be Monday night.)

I put up a few new pix....2 snowboard pix, a few more pix from when Aja visited in May, and half of the pix from the climb a few weeks back - they're all on the new pix page, so check 'em out if you so desire.

I watched Bull Durham last night, honestly - I had never seen it before.  Man Kevin Costner is a tool and bad actor, but Tim Robbins' character kept cracking me up, that's a cool movie.  Anyone got any suggestions for flicks I should watch tonight?  I'm staying home, cooking, sleeping, and doing laundry.  Ahh the life of a single guy in his mid-20's living in the city, spending his weekend at home.  What a life I have.  Have a fantabulous weekend!

August 26, 2004

I'm pissed off today.  I haven't been pissed in a long time.  A VERY long time.  Upset? Yes.  Pissed?  No.  My streak of about 6 months of good luck is just crashing lately but I'm trying to make the best of it.  I was up until about 1:30 last night scanning about 300 pictures to post online, made the pictures page and everything, burned it to a cd and of course, my cd drive at work won't read it so I can't upload it.  This shouldn't be upsetting as I'll I have to do is bring in my external HD tomorrow to work and upload the files, but I wouldn't have stayed up an extra 3 1/2 hours last night if I didn't want to do it today.  That's the absolute tip of the iceberg, about 8 other things are bugging the shit out of me right now, let's just say that that 3-year-old picture above sums up how I feel right now at the world.  I just don't have the energy to tell karma to fuck off and stop biting me in the ass.  So what do I do when I'm pissed?  Clean.  Yup, I was pissed last night so I just started cleaning.  Threw away about 50% of the shit in my closet, reorganized all my boxes of junk, hell - I threw away about 25% of the shit I own last night.  I don't need it and it's worthless with regards to ebay.  Hopefully mountain climbing and the BBQ this weekend will cheer me up!  And before I get 80 emails asking what's up, don't bother - it ain't important, just about 200 little things all crashing down at once.  What a fitting song I'm listening to right now, and no - I don't plan those.  Hell, I'm posting and retiring that MP3 today....

I did something stupid last night.  Not really stupid, but I assure you it'll be in random thoughts pt. VI when I release it.  Way to build up the suspense, huh?

On a happy note - I have my MP3/WAV converter back!  That means I can post a clip of the MP3 of the day again - WOO HOO!!!  Speaking of Chimaira - I'm going to see them in concert Saturday night after I get back from climbing Evans and Bierstadt (yes, that's set in stone now) for the third time.  Anyone want to join me?  I'll probably leave after Chimaira as I don't like MachineHead.

New Wil$on picture is up, and hopefully if things improve, a bunch of hiking and party pix will be up tomorrow.

August 25, 2004

Now THAT'S why I like the Olympics ;o)  I just looked at what song I'm listening to - kinda fitting for that picture, huh?

I will have pictures of the hike from 3 weeks ago posted tomorrow, I promise.  I bought new shoes yesterday since I lost my 805's during Sausagefest '04 (if any of you have them, please keep them, I'd love them back, nice shoes)...so yesterday I bought some 807's -- the new model.  So today it's back to running!

I didn't do jack shit last night.  No gym, no cooking, nothing productive - nothing.  I did nothing.  I don't know how people can do that their whole lives.  I just live for days when I don't have anything to do, but then I have one and I'm bored off my ass and go to bed at 9:00.  I was just lazy last night, felt like doing nothing.

Trying to plan a climb up Holy Cross this weekend.  It's a long climb - probably 12 hours or so...but it's supposed to be cold and rainy all weekend so I might just do Evans and Bierstadt.  That's much shorter and a shorter drive, yeah, I think I'll just do those two.  That'd put me at a meager 7 for the summer with a goal of 10.  I really need to get on the ball.  But I do want to do Quandary, Longs, and Holy Cross yet....if I complete those - I complete my goal...but the clock is ticking for snow at 14K!!  Less than a month left.

August 24, 2004

As I was discussing in the forums yesterday, my newest imaginary girlfriend, well, it's not legal yet, she just turned 17.....but, she won a gold medal last night for Romania.  Yup - Catalina Ponor is my newest imaginary girlfriend.  I'll be moving to Romania next week.  Benefits of this:  1) Catalina  2) Don't have to put up with this bullshit election where nobody wins.  Cons of this:  I can't think of any.  Why do I always get crushes on gymnastics girls each time the Olympics come around? Last time it was Dominique Dawes.  Catalina blows her away though, wow.  Anyways.....

So I bought a HD receiver for my TV last night, a Samsung SIR-TS360. (it's grossly overpriced on that site so don't think I paid nearly that much for it).  The pros of this are that I will get all the NFL games in HDTV and all my local channels in HDTV - basically all the channels I watch, without paying for the extra service.  The cons are that I will never want to watch TV on my 20" JVC in my bedroom again.  Kinda like switching from tapes to cds - you just can't go back, right Klave?

My office is a disasterpiece right now, you should see it. Just thought I'd share that with you.  I need to get to work.  I put up new pix yesterday, a new Wil$on pic yesterday (new Wil$on story next week), and a new MP3 will be up in just a sec.

August 23, 2004

Back from a temporary hiatus and the Sausagefest 2004 activities.  Was an excellent few days, but yesterday I was just exhausted.  I had meet my students yesterday and all that fun stuff.  I'm going to just let the pictures tell the story this time around.

Gotta get caught up, I'm skipping the M-Climb today but have to go to Convocation at 3:00. I'm really busy today so I can't provide much of an update for you other than the pictures...sorry...enjoy and have a good week.

August 17, 2004

First off - I'm done wishing happy birthday on here. I've missed 4 this month already, so happy birthday to everyone for the rest of this site's life!! ;o)

Seneca Wallace, 14/26 with 135 yards and 1 TD.  Seahawks 21, Packers 3.  I think Seneca did a great job last night, along with all the Seahawks.  We play the Broncos on Saturday, I'll be unable to watch but I'll likely record it so I can see some more of Seneca in action.  The season has begun, and the Seahawks are undefeated.  Look for this fact to stay the same until roughly week 10.

Thanks to Klaver for the 411 on HD service.  It turns out I've made the decision to buy a HD receiver for my TV so I can watch the whole NFL season in HDTV.  Does ANYONE work at an electronics store or anything where you get an employee discount?  I want this.... and I want to spend around $225 for it - so any help in my locating that (New - not used) would be appreciated strongly!

This will likely be the last update until next Monday.  I'm at a staff retreat tomorrow, a conference Thursday, then out of town for a few days after that until I "work" on Sunday.  So I've been waiting about 2 1/2 months to post this as MP3 of the day, trust me, you will all like it.  I'm serious.  We'd better throw up a new Wil$on picture today too, eh?

I can't think of a hell of a lot to say right now, maybe I'll update more later.  Maybe.  Have a good weekend even though it's only burrito-day-eve.

August 16, 2004

Had a great weekend.  Friday night hit up happy hour (Gov's Park - imagine that) for awhile, Saturday went to the Scottish Games with Heidi and Wade all day and proceeded to get sun-charred, taste scotch, watch some events, and almost purchase a samurai.  Went to On The Border for food and margs, then went home and napped.  Saturday night hung out at Duane's for awhile then went downtown for awhile and ran into A.C. Slater - aka - Mario Lopez.  That was weird.  Yesterday I bought my ski pass (and pussed out, really REALLY should have asked out the chick who sold me the pass.  REALLY should have done that, damn I'm stupid.  Stupid stupid stupid.  She did everything short of asking me out herself.  A hot snowboarder chick who works for Vail resorts, geez, I'm an idiot).  Anyways, then I was feeling lazy so it was frozen pizza/movie (Cold Mountain) night, then took in the Olympics for awhile.  Yup, exciting stuff.

Monday, Monday.  It just gets harder to get out of bed with each subsequent Monday.  This should be a quick week, work today and tomorrow, Wednesday is our staff retreat, I have a conference in the tech center on Thursday, then no work on Friday.

Tonight:  Seattle/Green Bay - Monday Night Football - and guess who's getting a ton of playing time tonight according to Mike Holmgren......yup, Seneca Wallace.  Sounds like the Seahawks are impressed with the way he's playing lately, and with Trent Dilfer hurt, he's the man they want to develop right now.  So fellow ISU Cyclones - watch the game tonight to see Seneca in action!

What's baseball?  A sport where my team and my fantasy team both suck every year.  What's baseball?  Football is here!

Does anyone know anything about HDTV receivers and service through DirectTV?  I'm sure I could research it if I wanted.  My TV is HDTV ready, but I don't get the service.  I may be getting it, Andy and I got the NFL package again, so it's just a thought.

If any of you are in the market for a new snowboard, and AREN'T riding with me EVER - my exact same board is available on ebay at a FANTASTIC price, I'd recommend it strongly.  My board is incredible.  I checked out the new Barons at Colorado Ski & Golf yesterday - holy shit they're sweet as hell.  They released a new version of the Baron this year - the Baron ES - oh man it's sweet as hell.  If someone wants a new best friend and has an extra $600 laying around, they can buy this for me. Of course, I'll need new bindings too because my Missions are red and would clash with this board ;o)  I take that back, the 159" (" meaning CM in this case) is red, if you buy me the board I'll suffer and use my old bindings :o)  But if you're feeling really nice, I'll take these please! Ok, I'm getting WAY too excited for the season now.

This is the best time of year.  Great weather (ie - women still in sundresses), the anticipation of the NFL season and college football.  Boulder's cool again as all the CU students are back.  And, in most years, we are nearing the anticipation of the NHL season to begin.  Whoa, wow.

    August 13, 2004

Special Friday the 13th MP3 will be up today, one of the most psychotic songs I've ever heard, but actually several of you probably love it!  Mule and Schau do for sure, possibly Klaver might even like it, I think he has the CD...anyways....here it is....  Wait, I take that back, Part II is on the cd they may have, this is on a CD a few years older than that.

Lift ticket prices go up on Monday - so BUY YOUR SEASON PASS FOR VAIL RESORTS NOW!!!

Who is the hottie above?  Can anyone guess?  I'll just spoil it for you.  It's Tobey Torres.  She is (was) the lead singer for Snake River Conspiracy.  As noted in the forums, I've been obsessed with the song Breed since I found the MP3 about 3 days ago, although it's like 4 years old, I've never heard it.  I was so impressed that last night I was on a mission to find their sole album, Sonic Jihad.  I can't decide what to make of this album, I either love it, hate it, or kinda like it and I can't decide which.  Wow, that made no sense.  Hell, I'll post one of the songs as a bonus MP3 of the day today for you.  It's kinda like No Doubt meets NIN meets Evanesence.  The band is made up of Tobey (who it turns out is sexy as hell, but I can't decide if she's hot or not) and Jason Slater from 3EB (third eye blind).  I drove all the way to the 16th Street Mall to go to the Virgin Megastore as I figured that was the only place there was a chance in hell of finding this 3 year old nu-metal cd of an unheard of band.  Let's discuss my trip downtown...

Two things about going downtown last night.  A) There are more hot chicks in downtown Denver than anywhere in the history of Earth at 6pm on a Thursday.  I really thought I was going to explode.  I don't get down to 16th nearly as much as I should.  Of course there's the hoods and gang fools hanging out down there, but it's a really cool area.  B) My car is amazing.  I think it just took a day for my problems I fixed to kick in.  I drove stop-and-go for about 40 miles and 1 1/2 hours yesterday with the stereo blasting and it never once approached the halfway mark.  I think bleeding the radiator did help, it just didn't work on the WAY to work that morning, not sure why.  I'm going to completely flush the radiator on Sunday just for shits & giggles, but she's ready to go another 100K miles as soon as she gets her new muffler next week.  WOO HOO!!!

Oh geez, are we THAT bad?!

Off to the Scottish Games tomorrow!  Tonight I think I'm just going to chill out at home, maybe cook or something.  It's payday today, but I'm sending $750 to discover card, so cash won't be too abundant.  Next week is looking to be short.  I have a staff retreat on Wednesday, a conference on Thursday, then I got Sausagefest on Thurs. night - Sat. night and have to be at work Sunday late morning for Freshman Orientation and a parents reception or something or another, but we'll discuss that next week.

New picture of the day is up, if you missed it I posted a new story the other day, and a new Wil$on story is just a week away!  A reminder - I'm always happy if one of the following happens:
1) Someone emails me pictures or stories about Wil$on
2) Someone signs my guestbook or starts regularly using my forums
3) Emails me saying "Holy shit, that MP3 is amazing! Didn't expect that and never heard that song before!"

Have a ncie weekend.

August 12, 2004

So last night I had Jeff Suppan vs. Carlos Pavano (Cards vs. Marlins) -- I had both pitchers going in fantasy.  Both pitched 8 innings, one gave up 1 run, the other pitched 8 shutout innings.  Could I ask for anything more?  Maybe I could ask for my fantasy team to not suck so much.

How you feelin' today Kris?  I bet bad, you didn't sound so awake and lively when I called you last night.  Hehehehe.

I can't think of a damn thing to say today, sorry.  I'll put up a new MP3 and pic of the day for you, but I just can't think of anything to say.

August 11, 2004

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KRIS KOHORST!!!!!!!!!!!

Please don't ask why I'm listening to this.  I just put in the Valentine soundtrack.  How this works is, after I type the date, I open my winamp and type whatever is playing at the time.  This song is weird, not to mention terrible.

I watched the QB Challenge on the NFL network last night.  Who won?  It was only fitting that the best QB in the NFL took home the prize.  I mean seriously, you KNEW he was going to win the 2-minute drill, we're unstoppable at the end of the 1st half and the end of the game.  Rock on Matt Hasselbeck!

I'm heading to the Scottish Games this weekend with Heidi and Wade, should be pretty sweet.  Scottish games, dark beer, whiskey tasting, outside all day.  Rock on!

Thanks to everyone for your emails with car advice.  I've decided that on Sunday I'm going to swap the T-stat again, this time with an OEM t-stat, then I'm going to flush the radiator on my own, if this doesn't fix it, look for another advice request posting next week.  I don't have time to touch it until Sunday, and I REALLY want to go hiking on Sunday, so I may be postponing this project for awhile, we'll see.

A new story is up today, it's not at all like the other ones I've posted, you won't enjoy it I hope, you shouldn't, it isn't fun.

I'll have a new rant up later this week, it's horrible but I figured I don't really care.  I wrote it in January of 2003 apparently, and I've discussed this topic with several people before, so I figured I may as well post it, but I can't give you too much content in one day now, can I?  Carrie informed me that pictures of the climb this weekend turned out great, so I'll try to scan them sometime after I get a hold of them.  Jacob is in Toronto all week so I won't get his pictures for awhile.

Remember if you have ANY Mt. Dew points to donate them to 00k, I don't think any of you have yet, so fuck off.  All it is is if you have an orange cap to a 20oz mt. dew, there's a little code on it, all you have to do is type the code and hit enter and she gets it!  How kind of you! Or I think there's points on 12 packs and 24 packs too...so if you have any empty ones laying around, just type in the code! It'll take you 20 seconds to make her day!  Speaking of making days, I'm going to go make my own day right now by working. Adios.

Oh - new Wil$on picture featuring my left arm and Alicia's left leg is up today too...check it out without any <ahref="  tags.

August 10, 2004

Sorry about the site being down all weekend and yesterday, I forgot to renew my domain name.  I actually forgot I had to pay for the damn thing, when I originally bought it I bought it for 3 years, turns out that was on 08-06-01, so it expired and I never received a renewal notice.  No biggie, lesson learned.

Had a good weekend.  Hit up happy hour on Friday downtown, Saturday did some pool-sitting (finally!), and Sunday we climbed 3 (4, technically, but Mt. Cameron doesn't count as it's like less than 300 yards from the peak of Mt. Lincoln or something gay like that) 14ers...unfortunately upon reaching the first summit around 9am, I whipped out the camera only to discover it had a dead battery, so that sucks - no pictures of my climb for you! Too bad too, because we actually had to climb down the rocks IN (not next to, not underneath - IN) a waterfall in a cool little gully on the way down, it was pretty sweet.  I think Carrie and/or Jacob has pictures of it on their cameras, so maybe I'll scan them in the future sometime.  I think I'm going to climb more this weekend...not sure yet, perhaps I can knock off Bierstat and Evans in one trip, or I could go do something more challenging like Mount of the Holy Cross or Snowmass....we'll see.

So this problem with my car's cooling system is driving me insane....here's a timeline and if anyone has suggestions PLEASE fill me in (and FYI - it's a 1995 Accord LX):
2 years ago:  My car starts overheating at idle...cools down immediately when I'm driving, but gets near the red in stop-and-go-traffic.  I think it's the t-stat, but I ignore it and drive like this for 2 years and just turn on the heater whenever it heats up to cool the engine down.  The fan runs after I turn my car off for about 5 minutes every time.
2 weeks ago: I'm sick of this so I swap out the thermostat.   Still overheating, but I didn't realize it for about 2 days
Last week:  I discover the fans aren't coming on at all when the car is running, but one of them comes on when the car is turned off and runs for about 5 minutes.  I turn on the A/C - both fans come on immediately, however, with the A/C on, the car still overheats.
Last night: I manually jump the coolant temp switch A on the thermostat housing to complete the circuit and see if the fans come on...I do this by jamming a paper clip into both connections on the connector.  I turn the car on - both fans come on immediately.  Good deal.  I conclude that the temp switch on the t-stat housing is faulty, hence why my fans don't come on when the car is running.  I run up to John Elway Honda and buy a new switch for $40 and come home and install it.  I take it for a test drive.  Sweet - right when the car starts getting hot, the fans kick in.  I'm happy.  Oh wait....even though the fans kick in, the damn car still overheats.
This morning:  I bleed the coolant system to try to flush out any potential air pockets. (I add 1/2 water 1/2 coolant at the same time...then I filled the overflow tank too) Fans still working fine, but car still gets near the red on my drive to work and fan continues to run after I turn my car off.

The good part about this is I'm learning a hell of a lot about my car and how it works, and the fact that all this shit I've done probably would have cost me about $300 at the mechanic, but I've spent a whopping $50 on parts so far.

The Broncos lost last night, thank God.  Now if this fucking city will just stop talking about John Elway for 2 seconds I'll be happy.  I mean seriously, I already have to hear the guys name when I go buy auto parts (see above).....when will this end?!  They won't shut up about him.  It drives me nuts.

I will finish of saxophone week on the MP3 page today - yeah I know, finishing a week on Tuesday is bass ackwards, whatever.

August 06, 2004

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOMORROW SCHAU!! Consider that Bushwick album your present, have a Budweiser or 13 tonight and I'll toast to you at Sausagefest.

I'm still debating whether to get a Marcus Trufant (who is now called "Money in the Bank" by Mike Holmgren) or Ken Hamlin jersey.  Trufant is definitely the more popular of the two, but the Hammer is just too damn good.  Trufant's name is cooler, but Hamlin knocked Dante Stallworth's helmet off last year....hmmm...

What am I doing this weekend?  Actually have a nice little weekend planned.  Tomorrow I'm going to Bed Bath & Beyond, maybe the Home Depot..I dunno though...not sure if we'll have enough time.

Last night I FINALLY went to Wally World and bought some hollow points for the glock.  Why do you ask?  Well, I'm doing the hike this weekend on which I saw a mountain lion last year.  Hopefully I don't see one, and hopefully if I do I can scare him away, and if I can't, then I'll fire one into the sky to try to scare him away.  But man, how I would love for all those attempts to fail just so I could shoot something with this thing.  I just can't wait to see how much damage my .40 hollow point could inflict upon something, sweet.  Did that sound psycho?  I didn't mean it too.  If you wanna see psycho, just go look at Wendl's new gun!  I'll post a link when he replies.

So yeah, tonight I ain't doing anything, maybe go work out then rent a movie, I dunno.  Tomorrow I'm going to do some work to Laetitia - change some fan sensors out and change her oil and possibly brake fluid.  if anyone knows how to swap out brake fluid, let me know.  Same with flushing the radiator - if anyone knows how, let me know because I'd like to do that.  Same goes with power steering fluid, that needs to be swapped.  Everything's original in her except her t-stat, radiator, and timing belt after 170K miles - I'm trying to turn her into a brand spanking new car so she can run another 170K for me - I know the engine can handle it!

Anyways, got sidetracked there.  Going hiking on Sunday with a few friends, going to knock of 3 more 14ers, starting bright and early.  Actually it'll be dark and early - 4am-ish.

I can't think of a sax song today so you get floyd for one more day, and that's about it! have a safe weekend and remember, not only is supergreg numba one, but the first Seahawks exhibition game is a mere 10 games away.

Such a fitting Dilbert strip for me today huh?  Wally is my hero.  That one's getting printed off and stuck to my monitor, hell, that just might go in Laetitia and on my fridge at home too.  Right next to my C++ Fox Trot comic strip on my monitor, I love that one.  I'm not going to scan it, but I'll describe it.  Few will get this joke - I'm guessing Renze will find it at least somewhat humorous.  It shows Jason Fox looking at his teacher while holding a piece of chalk, on the chalk board the following is written:

#include <stdio.h>
int main(void)
{
    int count;

    for(count=1;count<=500;count++)
        printf("I will not throw paper airplanes in class.");
    return 0;
}

Jason's teacher is looking at him with a pissed off face and says "Nice try."   Classic computer geek joke.

Anyways, went to the Cubbies game for free last night.  Thanks Tiff and Heather!  I'm not exaggerating or joking, they can vouch for me.  The second they announced that Shawn Chacon was entering the game (with the Rockies having a 3 run lead) I said, out loud "Game over, Cubs win. Shawn Chacon is the worst pitcher in baseball."  Exact words.  First pitch - wild pitch and a run scores.  Second pitch - home run, tie game.  2 pitches later - home run Cubs have the lead.  It took him 4 fucking pitches to lose the game. I mean seriously, look at this guys stats this year.  He's like 1-7  with a 8.00 ERA or something like that.  Awful.  There were a couple of ejections from the game too - cool game.

Saxophone week continues on fleetmack.com today with.....  There's also an entire album on the MP3 page for downloading today if you'd like - I know Schau wants it!

I got one of the 5 powerball numbers right last night, but not the powerball.  I'm going to win one of these days and retire to Beaver Creek.  You'll all be jealous, but you can visit me.  After all, it's a whopping 10 minutes from Eagle, Colorado.  Ever heard of that town before?  ;o) I know a certain infidel who has.

Productive-mode is still kicked into full gear.  I was up until about 1 or 2 last night, unreal.  Grocery shopped, did all my laundry (even folded it - a rarity!), cleaned my bathroom and partially cleaned the kitchen.  Sorted through my boxes of junk and threw away roughly 87 kilograms of stuff (I don't know how heavy a kilo is, though).  I just, wow, I did so much shit last night I can't even explain it to you, tonight I shall hopefully not continue with that project :)  But I assure you, I will continue that project soon, I will finally be organized and after a year in my apartment, I'll feel moved in.  Unreal.

I finally watched The Jimmy Kimmel Show last night for the first time (yes, I missed the Slipknot episode on Friday), I was not at all impressed.  Don't think I'll be watching that again.  Breakfast this morning was delicious - almonds and lemonade.  On to more important things...

Saxophone week continues on the MP3 page today with....  And a new Wil$on picture has been posted on the Wil$on page, I also have another Wil$on story on deck from Sully, but that's going to be held on to for awhile as I don't get sent new stories too often, then I get 2 sent to me in 2 weeks! Sheesh.

Renew your Colorado or Buddy pass (of COURSE I'm getting the Colorado pass, dumbass) because if you don't do it ASAP, it's going up in cost in about 2 weeks...

Just 12 days until the Seahawks destroy the Packers in pre-season.  Who cares?  Not me.  Preseason sucks, but I'm sure I'll be excited anyways.

I'm boring today, sorry.

So I'm on a roll so far this week.  Already got a solid 5 miles ran and have already lifted biceps, triceps, and chest.  I'll be done with about 8 miles and a full round of weights by 6:30ish tonight, giddy up.  Been up since about 5am.  I can't sleep lately - and before you get all worried, no there's no reason I can think of that I'd be losing sleep, I just honestly can't sleep at all.  I was literally up at about 2 this morning but got out of bed at 5 to make breakfast and go running as I was bored of lying there.  Who knows.  I seem to be more productive when I don't sleep as much so maybe it'll work out for the best.  One of the good things about being up that early is I get to see Stacey Donaldson on the morning news :)  Wow. HA!  I just typed her in google to find a picture and came up with this.....

Anyone subscribe to Playboy?  I haven't gotten a new one for this month yet - is it out yet or did they skip me?  I'm thinking they skipped this month for me, I know I'm not up for renewal yet, damn.

MP3's this week will all be saxophone related as I used to play sax and those songs are always cool.   Today we'll start out with..............

I put new pictures up yesterday.  Remember when I promised I'd have some writings to post?  I lied, I don't yet.  Well, I do, but they need worked on before they get posted.  I don't know why I even tell you this.  I never work on shit - the reviews, the music pages, the rants, the stories - yes, I've started all of them, but I have no intention in finishing them, when I get home from work the last thing on my mind is my computer, so I don't touch it.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MATTHEW RENZE!!!

That was a splendid weekend, didn't do my mountain climbing but I don't really care, the rest of the events more than made up for it.  Friday night went to Gov's as expected, met up with Fern and Bridgett and swung over to LoDo's for awhile.  That was a pretty cool night.  Saturday up early and went to the kickball tourney downtown, we lost in the first round, it sucked to lose that early but it was a good day to be hanging out outside.  After that, Josh and I hit up Gov's for some food and met the most fun group of lesbians on Earth, these girls were cracking us up for really no reason at all, it was great.  Then it was over to Giggz for awhile, then over to the Rio to meet up with Jeff and the clan, after which we proceeded to the Blue Collar Comedy Tour.  I didn't realize they were filming the show we were at for a new DVD, it was all new material, there was like 9 cameras running constantly, so who knows - maybe we'll be on the DVD, that'd rule.  Hit up the Poor House after the show then back down to Scandless' place to watch the "Obviously you're not a golfer" line on The Big Lebowski.  Typical stuff.  Yesterday was pretty worthless, except I did somewhat successfully network a Win2K machine with a Linux box, that was pretty sweet seeing how my IQ was roughly 8 yesterday.

New pix will be up a little later so check out the newpix page later today.

ISU lifted the ban on student tailgating in the lots by the stadium, rock on!

Got a great looking week ahead of me here, we'll see how that goes.  I love summer.  The upcoming weekend is empty for me, I think I'm going to keep it that way.  Time for a relaxing weekend of possible pool-sitting and hopefully some BBQ action or something along those lines.  Yup, I'm done for now.
