PAYDAY!!! WOO HOO!

FIRST EVER FLEETMACK.COM CONTEST IS IN EFFECT - GOOD LUCK!!!

bryan@fleetmack.com is still down, please send emails to fleetmack@hotmail.com -- should be resolved by monday hopefully.  My hosting company lost any and all emails you sent to that address so please resend them to fleetmack@hotmail.com.  Here's the latest email update from digihosters:
We are currently working on the mail problems. The permissions on some of the configurational files have gone wrong. The mails are actually being queues on the server. We have also contacted our second level support on the issue. Kindly be patient, the problem would be corrected very soon.

LOOK AT ALL THAT POWDER!!! Vail - here we come on Sunday, plan on breaking a coller bone or the mountain - and I'm not coming home hurt - so mountain beware!

GET SOME CONTEST SUBMISSIONS THIS WEEKEND -- ALL THE SUBMISSIONS I'VE RECEIVED EITHER SUCK OR HAVEN'T FOLLOWED THE RULES!!! GET ON IT PEOPLE!!! :o)

So the Av's lost in OT last night to Heatley and his thrashers.  Ridiculous.  But at least we got a point and I'm pretty sure Vancouver lost (but st. louis, detroit and minnesota all won too so it don't matter)   Man we need to step it up if we want to make it 10 straight divisional championships!

Got a visitor this weekend, several visitors next weekend, vegas weekend after that, visitors the weekend after that, then it's April and time to start running training again.  Holy cow it'll be cherry creek sneak time again before we know it! need to find someone to run it with this year - any takers?  Don't know if I'll be able to do the Bolder Boulder this year - but we'll find out, humph.

MP3 of the day will be, uhm (thinking of what to post)............uhm.......RATM - Bullet In The Head.  So far the most popular MP3 is NIN with The Becoming with 29 downloads in a day - who knew?   Not I!  New pic of the day and wilson pic are up as well. By the way - have you all read the new wilson story?  Just checkin' if you're up to par in your fleetmack.com visiting requirements :)

Have a fantastic weekend and please keep up the prayers for my friends in need, I really appreciate it. God Bless!

FIRST EVER FLEETMACK.COM CONTEST IS IN EFFECT - GOOD LUCK!!!

Please don't use bryan@fleetmack.com until further notice (sometime today probably) - for now use bryan.mack@is.mines.edu   (don't use any email address that ends in @fleetmack.com) In fact, my hosting company is screwing up almost as royally as cedant did - they better get the ball rolling or i may just have to bite the bullet and buy a phone line and dsl and get my linux box up and running and ditch this web hosting this altogether.  Like I always say - If you want anything done right, you've got to do it yourself.   --If you've sent in contest entries in the past 2 days - I didn't get them - please revert those to fleetmack@hotmail.com.

Mr. Rogers died this morning, that really sucks, he ruled.  We should pay homage to the man we all grew up with.

MP3 of the day is Alice In Chains - Down In A Hole - other usual updates are up, man I'm pissed off right now and it's taking every ounce of energy I have to not explode.

DigiHosters is really really testing my patience with this email thing - in fact, I'm about at the end of my line here - this is the first time I've gotten mad since I yelled at the kid who ran in front of my 40MPH car (trying to play chicken with me) about 4 months ago.  We're at 3 days with no email now, it's getting ridiculous.  The action of no email itself isn't as ridiculous as the email responses I get - here's 3 separate emails i've gotten:

Hi,
There seems to be a problem with squirrelmail. However, I noticed that we were able to login to your mail account using Outlook Express. Kindly use the same for your mail services for the time being, till we resolve the issue at our end. We are currently working on the issue, and the it will be resolved at the earliest. Please try using squirrel mail after some time.
Thankyou for your patience.
Regards,
Sheetal

We have a server wide problem with Squirellmail logins. We are working on correcting this problem. Could you please rely on Outlook or any other mail client till this problem is resolved.
Thank you for understanding.
Regards
Sharon.

Hi,
There seems to be a server wide issue on the same. We are currently working on this issue, and will get back to you at the earliest.
Regards,
Sheetal

Idiots - here's the deal - if someone handed me a job this simple that took me 3 days to repair, I'd be the worst support group in the world.  1) I already use outlook express like you said - it still doesn't work, stop lying..  2) If you use outlook express it downloads all your messages off the server onto your local machine - so, if in theory you successsfully logged in as me on your machine - you should have roughly 120 emails sitting on your machine that belong to me.   3) I average like 60 or 70 emails a day - are you trying to tell me I'm an idiot and have gotten 0 emails for 3 days straight?   Kind of like how you told me my web stats were correct - until Feb. 20th I had 4 unique visitors to my site when I average about 700 differnet visitors a day?!   Man these guys need to screw their heads on straight!

February 26, 2003

Doonesbury rules - especially today's

Well, the Cyclones beat CU last night, that'll earn me some bragging rights for a year or so.  Also, Av's moved up into 4th in the conference with a win over the Oilers last night. Will somebody please stop the Canucks?  Man they're just dominating everybody!

Heck, why not - random link today - check out what Jobless Jimmy is up to today!

I had taco salad to eat last night during the Av's game.  It was comprised of groud turkey with taco seasoning, lettuce, cheese, jalapenos, taco sauce, and a concoction of 4 kinds of hot sauce (chipotle tabasco, mild(green) tabasco, regular tabasco, and cholula)  It doesn't look good in this picture, but damn it tastes good!!  Look at me, I'm cooking breakfast this morning.  Man I'm an idiot sometimes.

Wilson picture is new on the wilson pagePicture of the day is new.  And today's MP3 is Johnny Cash - I Still Miss Someone.

February 25, 2003

Please don't use bryan@fleetmack.com until further notice (sometime today probably) - for now use bryan.mack@is.mines.edu   Thanks!

Stayed home last night - watched the Simpsons and read, good night good night.

Here's an example of how to NOT win the contest  1) the chicks are supposed to be hot.    2) "FT.com" is not acceptable - must be either "fleetmack.com" or people making the shapes "F" and "T" with their bodies.  Man, just when you try to send out the right idea!  Nice try though - and I've got to give you credit - FANTASTIC use of ketchup!!!!   This is "close but no cigar" on how to win the contest - hold the sign higher!  :)

Think I'm going to max out on bench today, haven't done that in probably 4 years - if it happens, I'll let you know how it goes!

So Slipknot got snubbed by friggin Korn of all band in the Grammys.   But honestly, do I really want to win a grammy?  Anyways - today's MP3 is My Plague by Slipknot, as it got snubbed by the Grammys - at least it was nominated.

Driving to work this morning, this mexi-F150 (a big F150 with fatty tires and a huge spray-paint-style sticker of a last name across the back window) tries running me off the road like 3 times, apparently he didn't like me.  I honked at him becuase his huge tires were halfway in my lane and there was a car on my left so i was about to be crushed between the two.  So for the rest of the time driving down Sheridan this dude swervs at me like 20 times and rolls his window down and flips me off and screams to me in Spanish.  So what do I do?  1) Laugh and blow it off becuase I know I'm right and some mexi-ford isn't worth ruining my day.  But then I got on I70 and this guy was trying to get in front of me, although he tried running me off the road - I was tempted to floor it so he couldn't get in the gap in front of me, but I thought "what good will that do?" and I tapped my breaks and let him in front of me and waved to him.  How's that for a life turn-around?  Man it's so much easier to do that then to scream about him to myself the whole drive to work.

FIRST EVER FLEETMACK.COM CONTEST IS IN EFFECT - GOOD LUCK!!!

First and Foremost, I need to ask for as many prayers as you've got for 2 of my friends who we found out some horrible news about.  Out of respect for them, I'm not going to state what's up, but in each case it's something very serious and we need to pray for each of them and their health.  That's honestly the most sincere request you'll ever see me put up on this site.  I beg you for your prayers.

I'd also like to ask for prayers for Mike Tomka, who I just found out was sent to defend our country - pray for his safe return and that we don't need to resort to war in the first place.

Looks like we got 26 downloads of Slipknot's Everything Ends as MP3 of the day - time for a new one.

Weekend was OK I guess, didn't do too much.  Went over with a friend or 2 to watch the Tyson fight, but by the time I got there it was over, damn 49 seconds.   Tried to keep the weekend cheap, I'm pretty broke.  I wanted to go to Vail on Saturday but I was too lazy to make the drive - but then they got like 10" of snow that day so visibility was probably bad and the drive would have sucked, so I'm kinda glad I got to go.

Brrrrrrr, it's cold.  See the above weather thing I have, man it's chilly - I feel like I still live in Iowa!

Av's won big last night but the game wasn't very exciting to watch - the Rangers kept stuffing it in Roy's face and he kept shutting them down, kinda cool.

New updates are the usuals - picture, wilson picture, quote, MP3, yadda yadda yadda.

And lastly, alternate "quote of the day" - I get a call from Mr. Mike Wilson late last night - "This is awesome, I'm getting paid to go to Wal-Mart!!!"   He was given a shopping list by his employer (Golden Wok) and told to go shopping at Wal-Mart for them.  Talk about a dream come true!

February 21, 2003

Man, I posted the contest yesterday noon or so and I've already got an amazing response.  No pictures yet, but tons of you have emailed me telling me I'm going to be getting a run for my money here! RIGHT ON GUYS/GALS!!! Give me all you can get!

The links page has been updated.

Finally got my webstats fixed - I had NO IDEA how popular the MP3 of the day would be, I was guessing maybe 2 or 3 people would take it.  Whoa - my stats are active only since about midnight and I've had 15 since then of Slipknot's Left Behind - but we'll switch it up again today.  Taking down my main MP3 page should decline my hits dramatically as most of my googles have been broken links to the old mp3 page, i'm probably upsetting people, but I don't need to take the heat so consider me out of that kitchen!

What the heck, it's been awhile - I'll put up some new feedbacks today, both fanmail and hatemail.

I'm wearing jeans today, woo hoo!

So last night, sitting at home watching the Avs/Penguins game - decide to go meet some frineds for a short while.  It's 9 minutes into the 2nd period, I leave my apartment - score 0-0.  I arrive at the bar 6 game-time minutes later.  Score 3-1 Avs.  Talk about missing some action!  But yeah - we won, but so did Vancouver and Detroit so it doesn't really matter.

And now, because I had nothing better to do with my time last night - I will show you a picture of what I cooked last night.  2 fish filets, some veggies, and cottage cheese.  Yummy huh? Here's my food from last night.     Here's what I had for breakfast this morning.         Here's me enjoying my delicious breakfast this morning.  Can you tell I love my digital camera?   Well, I do!

New stuff all around. Wilson story is new this week.      Wilson picture is Wilson and Alicia.      Need I remind you there is a whole archive of Wilson pictures and wilson stories?  Well, It's right here!  NEw MP3 of the day and new picture today as well.

Have a great weekend, get busy on the contest, and be safe this weekend! Stephanie - Drive Safely and have a great trip!!!!!  God Bless

February 20, 2003

Ok - so I feel really bad about myself today, I need to be doing better things when it comes down to the choices I make, hence the MP3 of the day.

Picture of the day will be new, but the Wilson picture (actual link to the picture today!) will stay the same as it is just too damn funny!  And for those of you who didn't come here yesterday - there is FINALLY a new Wilson story posted!  I've been slacking in that department lately.

By the way - I'll most likely have a fleetmack.com chatroom posted within a month, look out for that, it'll be sweet.  Also, we're going to start having contests of some sort with prizes and the like, time to bring fleetmack to the next level.   I have too much spare time at nights any more, it's ridiculous, I need something better to do with my time other than sit at home and read.  Humph.  Whatever.

Uhm, what else what else.  Avs game tonight @ Pittsburgh.  A win tonight will (i think) put us ahead of the Red Wings, but that's not necessarily true because I don't know if they play today.

Alternate quote of the day "As I close my eyes, I feel it all slipping away.  We all got left behind, we let it all slip away." --Slipknot.

February 19, 2003

Nice tattoo, Mike - you're doing a fantastic job of reassuring the world that you're normal.

Ok - I've been on and off with this idea for awhile now but it's back on -- shirts will be going into production.  I do NOT want my picture on the shirt, however.  I want the fleetmack.com logo on the back and a humorous statement on front.  All profits of these t-shirts will go to 3 areas -- 1) pay my $19.95/mo hosting fee   2) 1 monthly prize to be given out to a fleetmack.com contest winner   3) A charity of some sort to find lost children.    I do like Matthew Renze's old shirt idea alot - but I want to find a basic, clever saying to put on the front of it in plain bold letters, followed by my blue logo on back of the shirt.  Who would buy one?  Who has ideas?  LET ME KNOW ASAP!!!!!!!

I had a very weird dream last night, followed by horrible nightmares, 2 nights in a row(for the nightmares)- resulting in lack of sleep.  I'm going to start writing down my dreams as I remember them - here's the weird one from last night - warning: it's quite odd. man I hate it when I get into streaks like this where I just flat out cannot sleep.  Tyler Durden is back.

I'm really catchin' on to this PHP stuff - stayed home and just studied it all last night - i'm going to get a guestbook and frequent surveys up and running i think once I get this all done - plus I need to learn how to do some more things for a different side-project I'm going to be working on.

Not much new today - oh wait - NEW WILSON STORY!!!!!!!   We will complement this with a new wilson picture - it's Wilson sitting by his computer - nice eyes!.  I realize its been awhile for a new Wilson story, Mr. Jason Miller decided it was time to update, so he hooked me up. Also - the Wilson Resume has been updated (there ya go King of HC)

Play the Michael Jackson Drop The Baby Game

New picture of the day is up, and not to mention the MP3 of the day.   Have a great day!

test 1(info and settings)     test 2 (with settings)

February 18, 2003

We should all pray for the friends and family of whomever this may be.   I also would like to ask for prayers regarding Laci Peterson and her family, and all those children who were obducted this past summer and haven't been found yet.   This honestly breaks my heart in every way.

Whew, that weekend is over - was the funnest weekend I've had since either Matt's wedding or Steamboat, one of the two.  We have a few (limited) new pictures up today, but more will be up if anyone gets scanner access and gets them to me, we'll see what happens. Picture of the day will be of Justin, me and Shaun outside the Coors brewery down the street from where I work.  Yup.

So yesterday I decided to do some modifications to Laetitia.  The lock in the passenger door worked fine, but I didn't want it to, so I screwed it up with a screwdriver so it wouldn't work any more.  I hated the passenger window so I smashed it with a crowbar and ripped it out.  I didn't like how it looked with no window at all, so after I picked up the shards of glass, I decided to put a new window in, but not tint it, this way it wouldn't match the rest of the car.  I was sick of listening to music as well, I hate music and decided the sound of my engine would be much funner to listen to.  For this reason - I ripped out the 'ol Clarion CD Player.  Unfortunately I don't have a picture of my last modification - but I decided to give away my case logic filled with 200 cd's as well, I didn't need them any more.  I think these modifications will make Laetitia an all around funner car to drive.  Oh wait - some dumbass broke into my car, I was confused.

So other than that, I had a good weekend - and I officially know now that I am a changed person at heart.  The whole car thing didn't need to happen and had nothing to do with me changing, it just confirmed how changed of a person I have become in the past 6 months.  I would have normally flipped out and been upset about this for weeks, I would have screamed to anyone - you all know my feelings on cars - as Vincent Vega says, "You don't fuck with another man's vehicle .....I'd give anything if I could have caught that fucker doing it.  It would have been worth him doing it, just so I could have caught him doing it."   I would have been pissed 6 months ago.  Yesterday when I discovered my shattered car, I just said "worse things could happen, let's just get this fixed and try to take the steps necessary for this to not happen again."   I never even really got mad, wow - I impressed myself yesterday!

So yes, I no longer have my original RATM, Slipknot, SOAD, Nirvanas - they're all gone, luckily I have ripped most of them, so no big loss really.  At least I've got my health :)

A few other new things are up, some strange things may be up and around, I'm messing around with my database stuff - MySQL and PHP to be exact - so if you see anything weird popping up, I'm just testing some stuff out.  Take care and have a great week!

February 14, 2003

Wow, I have a lot to talk about today!

Klaver - I'm listening to 'em right now, thanks for the hook up!   I'll letcha know what I think, I'm liking this one so far though.

This is ridiculous - they're going to shut down the gyro man?  Leave some feedback or something.

Oh yeah - that graphic from above is from the onion.  Also - there's a funny kentucky girls picture posted on ehowa.com today, but I'm not going to link it because ehowa is pretty hardcore at times and I don't want to be the source of you getting in trouble at work.

300th epidsode of the Simpsons on Sunday - don't miss it!  Along with the Avs/Wild game Saturday night - also a don't miss opportunity.  That game sucked last night, but props to the Canucks for coming back with 3 minutes left to play to log the OT win.  At least we got a point.  Thinkin' positive :)

MP3 of the day is going to be rap today, quite odd, I know, but meaningful.  I woke up today pissed at the world and rather disturbed.  I got no sleep last night and was having nightmares all night.  I saw another major plane accident in my dream last night, but somehow Tony Hawk was involved, he jumped out of this airplane after the wing fell off then he just landed in this big halfpipe and was doing tricks while the plane crashed.  I think I got that because I was reading the new Sports Illustrated before bed and in it there's a picture of Tony Hawk skateboarding with Homer.  Anyways - I couldn't sleep after that.  I've been up since about 3am, I was just disturbed.  I felt like Yoda, something in the air just didn't feel right.   Does that make sense? It's like, something was just wrong.

So yes, I awoke, and I'm like - "wow, 24th Valentine's day single".  So I'm upset form the get-go.  I get up, made some eggs and breakfast, got my gym bag and lunch ready.  As I go out to my car (at 7:20am) I realize it's about 45 degrees out already - no scraping of the windows.  I start my car, start driving away from my complex, and see a bunch of balloons and welcome people at the gate of my complex - the apartment people we're giving out valentine's bags, and free coffee and donuts to everyone - they just handed them to us as we drove by.  Right on - this day is looking up.  So I get a cup of coffee, no lid.  I'm pretty pessimistic at this point and figure I'm going to spill it.  I don't.  I get to Golden - there's a TON of construction and I have to go through about 80 huge potholes every day to get to work. Even through this, my coffee does not spill.  Get to work - no hatemail today.  Yes - I woke up in a bad mood, but you know what - MP3 will say it all.

Commercials I currently love:   "The Brad" - man that is HYSTERICAL!!!    also - the one for that chick beach volleyball game for PS2 where guys all put pillows over their laps after playing the game - this implies that they are trying to hide their, *cough cough* - you know whats.  HILARIOUS!! man I love those commercials.

Honestly - do they really need to make this show?  Who Wants To Marry My Mom?   PLEASE STOP WATCHING THIS TRASH PEOPLE!!!

Thanks for the link Corey!  Just for that - I'll give you a reciprocal link for the day, visit Corey Thilges' page, formerly of Algona, Iowa - now a resident of Lincolnshire, IL (I think - somewhere in Chicago anyways!)

If you're REALLY bored - check out this article(letter) in the ISU daily about homosexuals and the Bible and tell me what you think.  I left feedback at the bottom and the guy who wrote the article ended up emailing me.  Here's the article.          Here's the email he sent me.        Here's where you email me and tell me what you think about all this, I'm open to all opinions.   I haven't replied to him yet, but by his email, I almost think he thinks I don't believe in the bible and that I'm a Homo - I never even pointed my stance on that issue so I don't know where his conclusions are he's telling me about, also he's pointing out ideas I never told him my stance on like I'm some moron.  Oh well, to each his own.

T-Minus 12 Hours and counting.........

Got a few new pictures I'm going to post today - hey Kelly double-O(h, my Gosh you live in Springfield, Mizzoura?!) - this one's just for you!! (see, i made it purple just becuase I know it's your favorite color - aren't I sweet?) :o)   Everone Who isn't Kelly Oo - don't ask.

Other new things around - wilson picture, a little later will be picture of the day - yadda yadda yadda.  have a FANTASTIC weekend, drive safely, and act responsibly - WOO HA I'M IN A GREAT MOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

February 13, 2003

Shoot, I know it's someone's birthday but I can't remember whose, well - don't stab me if I forgot please!

Iowa, you suck for finally giving in and lowering the limit to 0.08 out of fear - at least Colorado has the guts to stand up to the government for once, we won't give in out of fear of losing highway funding.

The mini-vacation for the end of February may be back on due to postponement of visitors - we'll letcha know.

Big game tonight vs. the Canucks, then another big one on Saturday vs. the Wild.  If we take both of those, we are pretty damn close to first place, with a win tonight it's POSSIBLE to overtake the Wild and Red Wings to put us into home-ice advantage position, wooha!

A classic south park was on last night, when Timmy goes back in time, oh man that one is so funny.

Updates all over the damn place today.

Still an AIC addict today, just an FYI.  Out.

T-Minus 1 day and counting.....

February 11, 2003

Happy 28th Birthday to crackhead Joelle, even though she's not intelligent enough to know how to work a computer.

Sorry for the late update, I'm quite busy today.  Uhm - new picture of the day and new MP3 will be up, that's about it.

Av's game 2nite vs. David Putty's (Seinfeld) Devils.  Probably watch that and do some reading, I have a ton of things I need to get done.  This rocks, more visitors coming at the end of February now, right on.  But Kris - unfortunately this means my trip to Chicago will be postponed until a future rendevoux.

T-Minus 3 days and counting................

February 10, 2003

Ok, I realize I'm busted already with that picture since Darius Kaspariatus is now a Ranger, I think that picture is from last year's playoffs or something, but I didn't feel like finding a new Forsberg picture in my newspix folder so I took an old one.   Anyways - Hat trick last night and the Av's haven't lost a game since that damn Red Wings game I went to back in mid-January.  However, we did beat the Red Wings on Thursday and Saturday, so that's all that counts.  If we can whip up the Devils and Wild this week - we're in VERY good shape, we already rolled into 2nd place in the division from 4th place in just a week. Rock on!

I can't believe I actually wasted my time on this stupid "which operating system are you" questionairre thing:

Which OS are You?
Which OS are You?

Had a pretty good weekend, got shin splints in the left leg as a result, but it was worth it.  When I use up my disposable camera film, I'll post some pix.   We got hella powder on Saturday on the back bowls of Vail, but yesterday was practically white-out conditions and freezing cold at A-Basin so it wasn't as pretty.   We left around 2 yesterday so we wouldn't have to sit in traffic all day.  But all in all, good weekend.

Play Battleship online, cool - fast - addicting.  This one is going straight to the links page!

T-minus 4 days and counting.  Giddy Up!

Not much on the agenda for this week, I need to catch up on my reading, I'm way behind.   I'll do usual updates today with no links.  The site could experience [even more] technical difficulties in the forthcoming days.  I'll be moving fleetmack back to its old server some day with an attempt to not lose any data in the process, we'll see how that works.  I have quite a bit to do today so I'm going to get to it, have a great week!

February 7, 2003

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KIM DENTLINGER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Keepin' it hot in Minneapolis for us on your day - have a shot of yukon jack on me!

Even though I don't think she reads this - HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOMORROW BECKY!!!!! I don't update this on weekneds so I'll miss your birthday, but uhm, sing some karaoke and hit cats with fooseball men for me!!

Roy is a beast, shutout the Wings last night.  That was a sweet game to watch, I just wish Foote would have gotten to clock Maltby.  I've had it in for that dude since the short-handed goal against Roy in the conference finals last year.   Great game though!  I watched the game then went out for a beer (ok, I lied - I had 2 beers) with a few friends, then came home and watched my new Alice In Chains Unplugged DVD and fell asleep on my couch.  Excellent call on that DVD Hart!

Finally had to break out the winter coat this morning, dammit - below zero wind chill.   Oh well, I dealt with it for 22 years in Iowa, I suppose I can handle a few more days of it.

New Stuff today: picture of the day         wilson picture         mp3 of the day        I may put up some new feedbacks later too, my inbox is kinda full right now, sorry if I haven't replied to you - I'll get around to it eventually, got a lot of stuff to do today :o/

Think I'm going to lay low tonight then head up to Vail or Beaver Creek solo in the morning.  Staying the night with some friends in Frisco or something then I think we're going to ride A-Basin or Keystone on Sunday.  Full weekend of riding! Think I'm going to buy some wrist guards and a mouth guard tonight, I need to go get a new stomp pad anyways or I'm going to tear my nuts open one of these days getting off the lift.   Kinda ironic that if I do slip it'd be my foot on top of a slipknot sticker.   slip, slipknot, get it? get it? nudge nudge? get it! whaaaaaa hahahhahahahahahahahahahah that's hilarioius.  ok, it's really not.  have a good weekend, be safe!

February 6, 2003

What up, we're cold and covered in snow, it sucks but what's a guy to do about it?  Prepare for snowboarding and watch some hockey I guess.

We've Got Matt Hasselbeck for 2 more years.

We've Got Ray Rhodes for a defensive coordinator - check out his track record for how he turns around a team's defense in the graph at the lower right of this page

Watch the Avs game tonight - it's a nationwide game against the red wings on espn, i think it's on at 7 CST 6 my time, but i'm not positive of that, it'll be worth watching even if you're not a hockey fan, in fact, this is one of the rivalries that could turn you into a hockey fan. it's worth it.  theres no high school controversies about hockey players taking throwback jerseys or hummers, theres no hockey players getting busted with guns trying to shoot their x-wives, no hockey player homocides on boats, no hockey player anything except balls.  they got balls...not a lot of teeth though.

Weekend plans are plentiful basically through the end of March now, I'm excited for the upcoming weekend, v-day weekned, the one after that is kinda open but'll be spent in the mountains i'm sure, last weekened of february is either a) visitors or b) go to chicago.  then in march we get vegas, baby, vegas - and a ton of snowboarding.

I'm going to gart's or something tomorrow to buy a helmet and wrist guards for under my gloves, it's time to try riding rails this weekend, watching the x-games gave me the incentive to try some harder things than the 180s i can pull off from time to time - or the occasional very very lackluster 360 that results in snow up my back 99.9...er....100% of the time.   i need a board with more flex, die randy will be retired after this year.  he had a good 2 year run but it's time to move on up to something with more flex - plus - this means if you come visit you can use die randy and not have to pay for a rental, but you've gotta have some big feets on the bottom of your legs cuz the board is wide as hell.  yup, work time.

Man, is this kid for real?? He's been competiting as a pro snowboarder since he was 10?? He's 16 years old, 5'4", 100lbs - who is this kid?  His flat out amazing, he's going to be the next Shawn Palmer -- hell, he is already better than Shaun Palmer.  2 Gold medals in slopestyle and superpipe?? Beating out Ross Powers, Danny Kass, and JJ Thomas....fuck.  I was up until like 1am watching reruns of the x-games all night, which doesnt really matter since i taped them all, but it rocked.   The only bad thing I have to say about the X-Games is -- if I see that damn "hello moto" motorola commercial again, i'm going to implode.

This guy is an idiot. He must be O.J.'s lost white relative.   It's only a matter of time before he fails a polygraph and gets tossed in jail.   What a dumbass.

Avs/Red Wings - tomorrow night - ESPN - be there.

Is there anyone out there who hasn't seen a good 'ol picture of Mike Wilson lately? Check it.  Pay NO attention to Mr. Stibal on the right side of the screen, what he is doing is perfectly legal *cough cough*. Random. And by the way - I know that link only goes to the Wilson page, you have to click the quasi-daily Wilson picture of the day link.

MP3 news for you.  I have decided for several reasons to discontinue the MP3 page in the format it was in.  1) Because Kazaa is getting away with making my life wonderful, *cough*, er, "stealing music and giving it to others" - record companies are targeting smaller websites with massive MP3 downloads.  Since I hit about 6500 MP3 downloads last month, it's time to cut back so I don't get in trouble - at least for a little while.  2) Getting too many requests for MP3's so I was starting to host music I either a) don't like or b) don't know.   So - the MP3 page will now be updated daily with one MP3 a day.  The link will be, as always, http://www.fleetmack.com/MP3.htm I will keep a link on the main page.  We will start things off this week with The Mighty Mighty Bosstones - The Impression That I Get.  Why?  One reason.  The last month I've been rubbing it in how it's like 50-70 degrees here every day.  Well, "knock on wood" - we're freezing ass cold now and getting snow every day.   Hence - "Have you ever had to knock on wood?"

Picture of the day is my imaginary girlfriend of 2 years - and no, it's not Laetitia Casta or Brooke Burke this time, but she's still in my top 5.

That's all.  Who's up for Vail this weekend?  Foot of snow so far since Sunday and we've got 3 snowy forecast days ahead.  Saturday = Vail.

Shaun White is a beast, end of story. How can this kid be only 16 years old?

Watched the X games last night, that was it.  It was basically a vacation day for me.  I got home from work around 7ish and sat in front of my TV until midnight - worthless, yes - exciting?  even more so!   Nothing really on the agenda for awhile and I'm about all caught up in most aspects of everything so I'm just going to chill, work out, and read until the weekned rolls around.  I NEED to go riding this weekend, watching the slopestyle is driving me up the walls.  But I'm just pissed that Tara Dakides wasn't in the X games this year due to an injury :(

Gotta get to work, I haven't done much updating at all lately, sorry.   I'll try to take care of that one of these days for you.

The answers are all right in front of my face, but I refuse to accept them or act upon them until there is clarity.  My emotions need not be justified as they make me who I am.

That was a kickass NHL all-star game.  Gotta tell ya - Dany Heatley ripped it up. The dude is only 22 years old, already has a rookie of the year award and NHL All Star game MVP award - on top of that he gets 4 goals and 5 points in the all star game?  Man - you aren't needed in Atlanta - COME TO THE AVS!!!

Please pray for those on the space shuttle.  In typical Mack fashion I didn't hear about this for about 24 hours after it happened.  That's what happens when all you watch is ESPN and comedy central.  Either way - just please think of them and all the others who are in danger due to war in the present time.

Had a pretty sweet weekend.  I chilled out on Friday night with intentions of going to watch the X Games in Aspen on Saturday, but alarm clock issues prevented that from happening, so I resorted to watching them on TV...can't wait until tonight to watch the finals of the SuperPipe - this Shaun White kid is amazing - he's only 16 and he's kicking the hell out of all the olympics medalists, JJ Thomas, Ross Powers - man, they got NOTHING on this kid -- check out ESPN2 tonight and watch this super pipe competition.  It's on ABC during the day, but ESPN2 is replaying it at like 7MST.

Saturday = 77 Degrees in Denver.  Monday morning = this

Picture pages are back in effect with MP3 page coming back into effect later this week - maybe...we'll see.  That's all for now, time to get at it.
