HAPPY BIRTHDAY CARRIE THATCHER!!!

Well if that ain't hot as hell I don't know what is.  Britney kissing another chick?  Who cares if it's a washed up skank, it's BRITNEY KISSING ANOTHER CHICK! Special Ed got beat up by Eminem last night on the show, that sucked.  So Johnny is in the hospital :o(  I watched the show for 3 hours on that dreaded horrible excuse for a television channel last night just HOPING for a glimpse or short interview with Johnny Cash - my all time hero - and he was hospitalized.  He doesn't have much time left but man I'm praying for that guy.  Props of the night go to Snoop Dogg who said while opening the envelope for best video, "I hope it's Johnny Cash, that guy's my nephew!"  That cracked me up.  Either way - Johnny is getting MP3 of the day, but not his mainstream shit, my favorite song of all time is getting posted today - Check it out.

Seahawks, tonight, Invesco Field, be there or watch.  Seneca Wallace will most likely get some playing time for them so even you ISU fans should be cheering for the 'hawks tonight.  I will again re-iterate how upset I was when I moved to Denver.   I was all excited as the Seahawks and Broncos were in the same division - thus, I would get to watch the Seahawks play every year right in my hometown!  Nope, they switched divisions right when I moved here.  That sucked.

I'm heading down to the SNIAGRAB right after work, got the day-early invite again as I spend too much money on snowboard shit.  If you don't know what SNIAGRAB is, just spell it backwords and you'll figure it out.  Once you've mastered this art, perhaps you can figure out why we gave Yort that nickname.  We're clever.  So yeah, I am already getting a board (Burton BMC 164" Wide - similar to this) from RussL at 10% over cost, so I'm just going to check out pants (although I have 3 pairs already), boots (mine suck - as seen here when I went riding in shorts in June), bindings (Think i'm getting them through RussL as well), goggles (to go with my 2 pairs I have already), jackets (won't get one as I wear my Seahawks or Avalanche jersey whenever I go riding), gloves (too expensive), and helmets (might actually buy one)

I'm going climbing on Sunday again.   This time we're actually going to not fuck up.  We'll be climbing some halfway easy mountains. We'll go with Mr. Bross (14,172), Mt. Democrat (14,148) , Mt. Lincoln (14,286), and Quandary Peak (14,265).  It'll be a long day, but they are fairly easy climbs.  I'd like to do Grays and Torrey's peaks yet this year along with another difficult one, but that'll be pushing it as snow will start in the mountains in a month or so.  But we'll see what happens.  That'd be aweseme to say I climbed 8 of the 54 14ers in just a month and a half, thats fine by me.  But as I've said before, won't get to all of them as I'm too scared to do Capital, the Maroon Bells, Pyramid, and most likely - Wilson.

Anyways - There's a new link on the left called Stories.  This is where all my memories and tales of my life will go from now on.  Those are VERY easy for me to write as it's just writing things from memory, so enjoy.  Have a great Holiday weekend!

Check out the review of the radiohead show

So I'm all sorts of caught up on sleep.  How about you Matthew and Bucktros?  Have a good 10 hour drive back to Ankeny? I thought I was going to die yesterday I was so tired, today I have a ton of shit to get done so this'll be short.

Last night I went home, was too tired so I made a frozen pizza, watched the Simpsons, then couldn't sleep so I wrote a quick story about this girl Casey from college.  I think very few of you met her but you all heard about her for sure!   Here's the entire story of the Casey incident.  Man it's messed up.  But yeah, I wrote that and then went to bed around 7:30 last night until 6:40 this morning - damn that felt good!   The extended-weekend is over, but now I have to prepare for another 3-day weekend, yikes!

Not sure what I'm doing yet.  Going to watch the Seahawks embarass the Broncos down at Invesco Field on Friday night.  Saturday = no plans.  Might go camp with Scandrett up by A-Basin over Loveland Pass.  Then on Sunday Ryan and I are going climbing again.  Monday = lazy day, sit by the pool, that's about it!

I put pictures up from Tuesday night.  Some tool wouldn't let me bring my camera in to Red Rocks with me so there's no concert pix, but if Renze's turn out I'll post them.

MP3 of the day will still be Paranoid Android.  Wilson picture is new, but I'll put up a new picture of the day

Well, it's been a few weeks since I've said this - but if you haven't signed the guestbook yet, do it.  If you don't use the forums, use them.   Goodbye.

August 27, 2003

Radiohead makes fun of Scott Tennorman, even though he has cancer - In his ass!

Wow - amazing concert, flat out amazing.  Ok - I LOVE slipknot and stone sour shows.  Slipknot because they're the best band on earth and they play a flat-out amazing show.  The 2 times I've seen Slipknot are tied for my favorite concert ever.  Stone Sour is fantastic to see just becuase Corey is my idol and they just rule to watch.  But I've got to tell you - Radiohead put on the best show, other than Slipknot - that I've ever seen.  Amazing, you cannot imagine how they actually reproduce some of the sounds they have on that album, it's amazing!  That show ruled, but some cocksmoker didn't let me bring my camera in, so there are no pictures.  But wow, amazing.  We almost beat the shit out of some guy who looked like Scott Ian, punk.  So yeah - great show - GREAT show!  If you have one concert in your life to pick to attend, pick Slipknot.  If you have two, pick Slipknot and Stone Sour.   But if you by chance get to pick a 3rd show - pick Radiohead.

Again, I don't feel like updating today but I will.  I need a 7up, because my head is spinning.  That sucks that J-Tea isn't opening for Too $hort anymore, that would have been so damn cool.  Either way - random usual updates are up, look around.  MP3 of the day is Paranoid Android.

August 26, 2003

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATIE KRIENER!!!!!!!!

I'm way too tired to update today, should have a full update tomorrow.   Going to see Radiohead play tonight.  3 days until I see the Seahawks dismantle the Broncos.  Yup.

August 25, 2003

Get used to seeing Koren Robinson - he's the man, you'll be hearing a lot about him this year.

Hello, the weekend rolls on.  Bucktros Bucktros Buck and Mr. Renze are still in town - they'll be here until Wednesday morning, rock on!  Didn't make it climbing all weekend, forecast was for storms so we're putting it off until next week - but next Sunday I'll be climbing Mt. Democrat, Mt. Lincoln, Mt. Bross, South Bross, and Quandray.  Should be a long day.  So Friday night I went and screwed up my sleep patterns to prepare for climbing on Saturday, so I was in bed by 5:30p.m. and woke up around 11:30, then I went to Riki's place and had a few drinks, went home and watched movies by myself until 6:30 in the morning.  Saturday I woke up around nooner and Andy and I went to sign a new lease, got a kickass place in the same complex.  It's about 1200 square feet and we got a fireplace and all sorts of shit, got a hell of a deal on it too, it's going to rock.

Holy shit - everyone is screwed, my fantasy football team ROCKS!

I found out this weekend that my credit score is 744, whatever the hell that means.  I think it's pretty good.

BBB (Bucktros Bucktros Buck) and Renze got here around 6 Saturday night and we went to the Chuckling Kodiak (Giggling Grizzly) for the night - good times.   Met up with Amy and her friends then with Tiffer and Heather and their friends.   Went back to Josh's after the bar and drank too much SoCo then went back to Tiff's place and sat in the hottub until like 8 in the morning.  Yesterday sucked - so hungover, but went to Old Chicago last night until 1 or so, then home and watched home movies of the Cancun trip from 2+ years ago -- good times!

I'm thinking of working a 1/2 day today - then we're going to go up to Boulder and chill out on CU's campus -- we got plans for some cool stuff :o)  Tonight I'm not really sure what we're doing - was going to go to see the Rox play, but they have today off, then the Radiohead concert is tomorrow, rock on.

So yeah - I'll put up a bunch of new pix from this weekend in a few minutes, new MP3, and new Wilson picture are all up.  So is new pic of the day.  Later.

August 22, 2003

Last night = Bad Idea Jeans.  Oh man my head hurts but it was a good time and Laetitia didn't get booted even though i left her parked downtown.  Oh man it hurts me to type.  We may have to keep this quite short today.  We were at the giggling grizzly (imagine that) for $1 draws and a whole bunch of shots to celebrate Stephanie's (not my ex, different one) finishing of grad school.  Highlight of the night = Josh dumps a full beer on Angie's head.  Either that or the "stiffler's mom" comment, I was in tears all night it was so funny.  I was pretending like I was going to dump my beer on Angie's head with about 20% intent of actually doing it, when someone grabs the beer from my hand so I can't do it.  Suddenly Josh dumps his beer on her head - she was soaked.  Man it ruled.

I realized something this morning and it pains me to say this.  This isn't a sure thing or anything and I'm the only one in the world who cares, but I think there is a strong possibility that I like the Deftones better than Slipknot.  Honest to God I think I do.  They are just so damn good.  Basically about freshman year in high school I declared Wu-Tang Clan as my favorite group ever.  This lasted until about junior year of college when it changed to Sublime.  In the spring of my senior year of college I decided Slipknot was the best band ever and it's been that way ever since.  Oh man it pains me to see the possibility of a new band taking over the #1 slot, it hasn't yet happened - but it's on the verge.  Wow, have I ever written anything you could care less about?  I believe the song Digital Bath by the deftones sums it up with the lyrics "to see like your eyes do."   I just wish you could all see and hear this band the way I do - you'd be amazed, but instead you'll probably just go on with life and miss out on hearing some great music.

Ouch, head still hurts. MP3 of the day is inspired by this delicious hangover.  A classic....

It's been so long since I've gotten to say this - new Wilson pic of the day is on the Wilson page! Wow, that brought a tear to my eye.

I put up some new feedbacks yesterday and some memories on the My Mind page. And as a small testimonial from Kris:
Great memories, Mack!  I forgot how you always used to pass out in my bed!!!  That was a pretty regular occurrence.  Either you or Mark Seidl.  Good times.  :o)

Have a great weekend - I'm going mountain climbing again tomorrow - rock on rocky mountains.  That was lame.   Funk off - use the forums, adios.

August 21, 2003

Ok, I'm back today - guess I'll take a few minutes to update. So the Wilson page is back up and in effect - the link is on the left.  We have a new contest to promote the new Wilson page - it's pretty lame as it was the first thing that popped into my head, but go with it and run.

So I put up more positive feedbacks and a new "hatemail" if you can call it that.  Also put up some more memories on the My Mind page.

Also I will finally put up a new MP3 for you today - don't know what yet, probably whatever Winamp is playing at the time as that's how I choose about 75% of my MP3's of the day.  Picture of the day will be, uhm, let's go with the group photo from Sips in Ames.  Wow, was that a week ago already?  Time flies when you're havin' fun!

Pictures are below the wedding picture on the new pix page of the night in Ames.

So my blister is all sorts of happy now so I'm back to running.  Did 2 miles last night and we're jumping back up to 5 tonight along with lifting tonight.   Do you care?  Didn't think so.

Boom!  And just like that we've gone from the 377,000th most popular site on the internet to 327,000th.  Check it out.   I jumped 50,000 sites in just 2 days - so go to Alexa and write a review of my site.  Tell them what other sites you regularly visit, let's get this site up and running once and for all!  I don't care if I don't know you and I don't care if you love or hate the site - just go there and tell them what you think of it, this'll help my goal of getting in the top 50K sites on the web by January 1.  HELP ME OUT!!!!

Explain this to me.  I have no parking tickets on my record.  I have one $20 charge I have left to pay becuase I paid a parking ticket one day late.   This is bullshit as it was postmarked before the due date.  You can only argue traffic tickets IN PERSON from 8-5 mon-friday.  Well, it turns out I work those hours and am NOT taking off work to dispute a fucking parking ticket I got 20 months ago.   So I paid the ticket, and I get notice yesterday that my car is officially bootable now, after my 20th warning they sent me.  How much have they spent on postage regarding this?  If they'd just let me argue by phone I'd convince them that I owe them nothing....but now my fucking car is going to get booted the next time I leave it downtown overnight.  Fuck - guess I have to drive drunk home now to avoid getting booted.  This fucking city is now promoting drunk driving.  Bastards.  I'll be damned if someone's going to put a boot on Laetitia and I'll be even more damned if I'm going to pay that fine.  FUCK THE CITY OF DENVER!!!!

Blah blah blah, not much else to say.  I'm very busy at work again today but will probably be in and out of the forums most of the day as I'll need frequent breaks today I thinks.  Time to go to the shredder and shred all my financial documents.   Sounds like fun huh?  Have a great day - although I work tomorrow, the weekend starts today.

August 20, 2003

With a strikingly similar look to the original Wilson page - I present to you - Wilson 2.0 - only differences - all references to his name are now Wil$on so google search of his name won't work shortly.   Most very-bad pictures have been taken down, but new grotesque ones shall be posted daily.  The stories shall be recontinued with a BRAND NEW CONTEST!!!!! That's right ladies and gents, a new Wilson contest has begun, check it out here.  A new explanation story is up telling the tale of why exactly the Wilson page was temporarily discontinued, hopefully we can make Wilson 2.0 even better than the first. Enjoy.

Ames pictures are up - they're on the new pix page below the wedding pix and on the "Misc. Iowa Pix" page - go find 'em yourself, i'm busy.

Sorry, was at a retreat yesterday for work.  Kinda busy right now too so this'll be quick.  I have a ton of pictures from last Thursday in Ames but don't have time to put them up right now.  I'll be back with a bigger update later today.   Good luck at your last day of work today Skimberlyoda!  Wow, I'm overwhelmed right now, plus I'm getting about 20 viruses emailed to me every 10 seconds to my work account.  Getting sick of it!  I'll be back with more later so check back...

August 18, 2003

First off - CONGRATS TO AARON AND RACHEL JUERGENS!!! (as seen in that picture with Klaver)  I was happy to be there and had a great time!  Too bad my pictures turned out shitty, I don't have one of the bride even!  Out of like 104 pictures, 20 tops turned out good, I was pretty retarted with the camera.  If anyone has other pictures, please send them my way.

Happy 1-day belated b-day to OGC, you rappin' fool, you.

Prayers requested for a friend......I need to ask of this too much.   2003 sucks.

I don't want to talk much about the weekend, I'll have Ames pictures up sometime later (as we partied there on Thursday night - Dank, Jeremy, Wilson, Katie, Hart, Bucktros, D2K, Renze and the like). Friday day went wakeboarding with Schweers - my first time.  i was able to get up and stay up until I tried something, it's definately different from snowboarding but I could get the hang of it if I was able to do it more often.  Wakeboarding rules, next year i'll get better, i promise this to myself. Friday night chilled in Carroll and was actually pretty good.  Saturday had the wedding and all the after-hours festivities, the drove back to Denver last night and was actually up pretty good.  Got a lot of stuff to get done so I'll have to keep this short, new picture of the day is up, wedding pictures are up, new MP3 is up, and still don't have time to re-launch the Wilson page, I'll get to it.  Blah.

August 15, 2003

Hangovers have reached a new level today.  Somebody installed a jackhammer in my brain this morning I think.  Ouch.  Went out in Ames last night with Jeremy, Yort, Wilson, Bucktros, Renze, Dykstra, Katie and a few others.  Holy shit.  At around midnight Buck and I decided it'd be a great idea to do about 6 shots, stupid idea.  It's funny, he wanted tequila so I go to the bar "1 shot of yukon jack 1 shot of Patrone".  Here's when you know you're in Iowa (bob, you'll appreciate this)....Bartneder:  "Patrone?"   Me: "Yes, Patrone".  Bartender:  "What's that?"  Me:  "top shelf tequila"  Bartender "We just have Cuervo".  Me: (laughing) "Man this place sucks, you call yourself a bartender and you've never heard of Patrone?  Go back to Egypt you fucking African".  It made no sense as it was a preppy white-guy bartender, but then again, I rarely make sense.

There was this table of hot chicks last night and I needed an "in" with them so I could go talk to them. I had Wilson throw an empty pack of smokes on their table and I walked up and said "Sorry, dropped my smokes" (even though I don't smoke).  I then proceeded to use my last name with them (mack).  Then we thought it'd be a great idea to pretend like we were foreigners, so Buck quickly developed an accent.  He says something to the effect of "how do you say it in engleesh, do yooz girlz want to, uhm, how doooo i sayyy eet, uhm, dooo yooz wants to fack me?"   They all drop their jaws, turn around, and leave.  Hysterical!  That's all for today.

August 14, 2003

I'm back in Iowa - got home around 3 or so last night and here I sit around nooner, on central time again.  Anyways, I"ll keep this short as I'm on dial-up right now.  I'm going to Ames tonight and I don't have my email address book - should be Yort, Wilson and perhaps Jeremy and Juergens - Buck, Renze, D2K - I'll give you guys a call 2nite since I cannot email you due to lack of email addresses right now.  But yeah, Ames tonight - probably Sips as Hart is DJ'ing.  Then tomorrow going wakeboarding at Lake View, but other than that I'm going to chill here with the 'rents for the rest of the time most likely, need to do that!  Anyways - I'll try to pop in and out until I get back for good on Monday - have a good one and try to stay alive without fleetupdates :o)  Don't go thru withdrawal!

August 13, 2003

Wow I am a tired boy, luckily I cannot go to bed until about 4am today, that should be good for me.  Went to the bar last night and stayed until close, had a really good time given it was a Tuesday night.  $2 you-call-its so I drank delicious Budweisers all night, hit on some random ladies, played (and was undefeated) some foosball (although I missed every snake shot I attempted, pathetic), yadda yadda blah.   Tonight immediately after work I get to get on my horse (Laetitia) and drive back to Iowa.  Speaking of Laetitia - I haven't talked about her for awhile.  She's running fabulous as always.  She's up t o144K miles now and in primo shape.  I don't have any recent pictures of her and her front passenger window is still untinted from when that bastard shattered it out, but I'll get her all souped up sometime soon.   Here's a random picture of the in-the-flesh Laetitia, for whom my car was named after.

Holy shyte I'm hungry and it's burrito day but I cannot go as I have some running around to do, humph.   By the way, random, I'll be brining a laptop back to Iowa with me so expect some fleetupdates occasionally.  I'm pretty pumped, think I'm going to get to go wakeboarding while I'm back, didn't expect that! Rock on.   Also - I decided which snowboard I'm going to buy.  I get a huge discount (I can get it at cost) through RussL so that'll be nice and WAY cheap.  I had no idea how much the markup on boards was.  This one goes for like $500 and I'm getting it for about 35% of that.  You do the math.  So my new snowboard - which I will not be letting you name like my last one - is a Burton BMC 162" Wide.  I think I'm going to go with some Burton Mission bindings.   I was going to get flow bindings, but you can't fold them down so Laetitia's snowboard rack on top of her would be rendered useless as it is incompatible.

MP3 of the weekend will still be Purity.  It was brought to my attention that I forgot to change the link yesterday so it was unavailable until about 5 MST.  Anyways, that's it for today, I'll change the pic of the day and if I get some time, I'll throw the Wilson page back up there too.  Utilize the forums all you'd like, they've been on fire as of late.  If we can get about 10 more people to use them daily, we'll be in really really good shape.  Hell, I'll also throw up a new hatemail, why not. Take 'er easy.

August 12, 2003

Damn virus.

I got 4 bills in the mail yesterday.  I sometimes wonder why Sports Illustrated will skip a week here and there on my subscription, I'll miss a month of Men's Health - but somehow, the utility companies never forget to mail me a bill.  They're all on the same basic mailing database system I assume.  I wonder if I prepaid my utilities if they'd just "forget" to give me electricity for a day sometime.   Just a pointless thought.

I popped my blister the size of Jupiter last night, it was pretty cool.   I'm going to start wearing size 11 shoes or something from now on to form more blisters just so I can have the sheer enjoyment of popping them the next day, it's gross - yet cool.  Who know that size 12 shoes would be too small for me?!  My feet just keep growing and I'm 24!  But you know what they say about guys with big feet.   They need big socks.

I have to start packing right after work today as I'm going out tonight up by Flatirons Crossing.  Figured I need to get back into the party scene a bit more as I've been incognito for the past month or so.  But it's very difficult to stick to a strict workout routine, maintain a healthy diet, and go out partying.  Those 3 just don't make an equalateral triangle - more of an isoceles or scalene if you ask me.

I went to Old C's last night to watch the Eagles game but ended up not watching it.  It's funny, I'm actually more interested in baseball right now than football.  So I watched the Royals beat up on the Yankees last night.  Take that Bob and Tim!  If the Royals win one more I'm assured 2 double-tall Absolut/7ups courtsey of Bob.  If they sweep them, I'm going to go to your lawn and pound a broom into it with a www.fleetmack.com sign - I really think I may do that.  Shoot, I'll be in Iowa so I cannot, dammit.

I've been too lazy to revamp the Wilson page, but be patient my friends, he shall make a triumphant return in the very near future.

I'm actually looking forward to going back to Iowa for once.  Usually when I go back I go out of my way to drive to Des Moines for a night, Ames for a night, and party in Carroll for a night or two, all while trying to see as many people as possible.  This time I'm saying "funk it" - I'm there to chill the funk out.  Thursday night I'll stay home.  Friday night I may go out for a beer or 4 with some friends, but nothing too wild.  Saturday I have the wedding, and Sunday I'll chill out and drive home, but I'm not going to run all over the state this time, I'm sick of doing that.  I'll get to take about 10 days off over Christmas, I'll make my rounds then.

Today's MP3 of the day is going to be the first inductee into the MP3 Hall of Fame.  It will be retired from fleetmack.com today as I've posted it about 6 times.  I'm addicted to this song - it's about the only song I've listened to in my car for the past week, it's so damn good!  The suspense is killing you, isn't it?  didn't think so...

Other ideas for stuff you can look at today - find out for yourself, jackass.

August 11, 2003

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KRIS KOHORST!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMANDA MUHLBAUER!!!   Wow, the birthday announcements of 2 of my very loyal readers falls on the same day.  I should initiate this as a holiday! Nah... :o)  Have a good one you two!

The weekened has come and gone with several events, few of which I will speak of.  Started hiking around 3am yesterday morning but didn't get to summit any of our 14ers :o(  Long story that I don't want to get into.  We ended up hiking for 8-9 hours and covering about 12 exhausing miles and summitted one 13,800ish peak, but coudln't make it up the 14ers from the route we chose due to the technicality of the climb and our lack of experience and ropes and other unforseen problems beyond our control.   So we went around about a 10 mile drive to another route and planned to summit that way, but the storm clouds started rolling in and we were getting rained on so we had to turn back.  We still got a kickass workout and some great scenery so not too disappointed, plus we'll try that same climb again in 2 weeks.  Let me tell you this though, when it's 4:30 in the morning, pitch black, no human within 3 or 4 miles of you and all you see is a pair of glowing eyes staring right at you from 10 feet away and you don't know what animal it is - nothing gets the adrenaline pumping more than that.   Is it a coyote? Is it a mountain lion? Is it a bear?  Is it a deer?  Who knows - all you know is theres an animal with glowing eyes stopped dead in its tracks staring right at you.  You reach down, pick up a rock, and hope for the best.   Eventually, the animal runs away and you continue hiking/climbing.

Since we didn't summit, I'm not going to post any pictures from yesterday, but feel free to look at my huge blister on my big toe! I need to pop that beast tonight.

I did a lot of writing again this weekend, I have so much new stuff for this site it's almost disgusting, but it's on about 20 different disks and computers so we'll see if I can keep track of what's where.  I was bored last night and couldn't sleep as I was wired (after being up for 19 hours - 13 of those being climbing hours - I couldn't sleep, who knew?).  I took pictures of myself last night and wrote "The Many Faces of Bryan Mack".  It's really stupid but you can read it if you'd like.

New stuff is up, the forums are rolling, new stuff in the guestbook over the past few weeks, new picture of the day, and new MP3 of the day.   Wilson Page 2.0 will be re-launched sometime this week, so that's something for a lot of you to look forward to!  Take care.

August 8, 2003

First off - the forums are hoppin' as of today, it's never been a better time to start posting away..we've got topics like "musical guilty pleasures" and all sorts of good stuff going today.

Whew, Friday.  As George Carlin would say - Thank Joe Pesci.   I'm not even going to explain that one, if you get it you get it, if you don't, you don't.

Recap of last night:  Ran 5 miles, finished laundry, then went to the Hoffbrau and Old C's with Josh for a few delicious duffs.  It's been a rough week, I deserved it.  As I always provide too much information, I will share with you that I had a Budweiser, Bud Light, 90 Shilling, 1554, and a Lefthand Sawtooth Ale.  I bet you care, don't you.  Weekend plans should be coo - I'm going up to Boulder tonight right after work to check out Russ Eich's new pad in the canyon (as opposed to by Pearl street), then probably go to Kelly's cocktail party, then possibly to a bachelor party as well.  Tomorrow I get up bright and early to go to the Scottish Games down by Littleton.   Then Sunday I'll start bright and early as Ryan and I are going to climb Mt. Democrat, Mt. Lincoln, and Mt. Bross.  That'll push me up to 4 14ers so far this summer.  I'm going to have to make a list of all the cool shit I've done this summer and cross-reference it with all the cool shit I could have done had I still lived in Iowa just to motivate you all to move here, there's so much more to do here so GET YOUR ASSES OUT HERE ONCE AND FOR ALL!!!

I think I narrowed down which snowboard I'm going to purchase to two.   I'm either going to get a K2 Satellite Wide or a Burton Canyon.  I'll keep my freeriding board, but I need a freestyle board, the 'ol Lamar (Die Randy, as you deemed it) just doesn't do the trick in the trees or pipe, or even on little riffs and rollers for that matter.  I need something about the same length (158) but wide as I wear a size 12 shoe, but my main concern is halfway deep edges and flexibility.  This will be my year to start riding rails my friends, I'll probably knock my teeth out but I'll have fun in the process.

I'm guessing it was Romulus of Mars that entered the foreign dog stuff in the guestbook.  It always takes awhile to read, but it's quite strange when I get an email from a foreign dog that knows how to type that bitches me out for a dog rant.  I always get a kick out of that.

00k put a pretty interesting poll up in the forums, go find it on your own, I don't want a link.  I'm eating Dannon yogurt right now intstead of my usual yoplait, this stuff is delish.

Wow, I really have a lot to say today don't I?  Check out www.engrish.com if you have a chance, that site is hilarious.  Props to Chris (a fleetfan) for the picture of his kickass cell phone.   Bet you didnt' expect me to link you didja?  Man, putting the word "fleet" before any word is just fun.  Fleetforums.  Fleetfan.   Fleetmail.  Try it.  But dont' try it with like a vegetable because fleetcabbage just doesn't sound right all.  Nither does fleetbrusselsprouts or fleetasparagus.

Ok, I'm rambling.  MP3 of the day today will be another one with special meaning -- trust me, it's none of you I speak of -- but someone I know (and you do not know) is getting married for entirely the wrong reason, for that reason, I present to you the MP3 of the day, basically chosen for the lyrical clip I will play.

Picture of the day will be the lovely Tricia Crowe (Simons), her hubby Aaron, and their twin daughters Tavia Joy (T.J.) and Cambria Jane (C.J.) at 14 weeks.  I mean, honestly, God has something good in store for me.  Just last week I write something about her in my stupid little memories article, and yesterday she emails me!  Life is good!

I have several more things to say but am sick of typing, want to get this posted, and need to get to work, so have a great day!!! :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SCOTT SCHAU!!!  But the Cubs still suck, so do the Steelers.  So do the Celitcs.  So does Larry Bird, and Andre Dawson, and Ryne Sandburg, and Jerome Bettis, and Terry Bradshaw.  Too $hort is pretty cool though, I'll give ya that.  And to explain today's quote of the day - back in the summer of 1995 (after Sophomore year of high school) we were all drinking at Matt Muhlbauer's house one night and we had this huge beer-a-mid built, like 12 cans on the bottom, so that equates to, uhm, I dunno, a lot of beer for 5 or 7 people aged 16.  So we're all upstairs, the beer-a-mid is downstairs.  All of a sudden we hear Schau say "Gentlemen, Start your engines!"  Then we hear this loud crash.  We all run downstairs and Schau is on the ground and the beer-a-mid is tipped over.  In classic Bart Simpson mode, Schau says "It wasn't me! I swear!"   Great times, best summer ever, easily.

Today's going to be a good day I can tell.  I jumped out of bed EASILY at 5:15 this morn, cooked up some eggs, hashbrowns, and bacon.  Went to the gym.  But here's the kicker. Literally within 3 seconds of my radio in my car being turned on to drive to the gym, I hear these exact words, "Floyd and Stone Sour are next on 'BPI".  Even the radio stations are catering to my needs today.   Rock on. (Even though it just turned out to be Another Brick in the Wall and Bother)

I told you a few weeks ago that one of my friends and his family needs all the prayer and support you have to offer, I urge you to continue this, but I don't think he/she wants me mentioning the situation yet so please just, I dunno, do as you please I guess.  Thanks.

I was productive last night but it was my rest night as well.  To meet my goal of 18 miles this week I need to run 9 miles by tomorrow afternoon, that'll be tricky.  Guess I'll do 5 tonight right after work then 4 tomorrow morning before work.  That's what I get for taking a day off I guess.  So go to this forum and tell me what song was #1 on your birthday, there's a link there that tells you what it was - THIS MEANS YOU MOLLY!!!! Don't make me post your email address and have people flood your account telling you to post something :o)

Royals lost their second game in a row to the Chi-Sox.  In both losses they rallied in the 9th to lose by one run, man that sucks.  Damn I'm taking awhile to update now, my deftones CD is over and we're back with Jerry Cantrell again.   Just thought I'd fill you in.  So I'm in all my work clothes and my climbing shoes again today, figure I better break 'em in a bit more before Sunday.  I don't feel like typing any more.  Usual stuff is up and around.  Happy Slursday.

August 6, 2003

So it appears that my road rage is back in full force.  As I was driving (late) this morning, I didn't find myself screaming for having to drive behind a Ford like I used to (I got over that phase about a year ago), but I actually swerved at some bastard that didn't know how to merge.  He was one of those idiots I refer to as a "brake tapper".  You know the type, they're always tapping on their brakes for no reason whatsoever.  No car in front of them.  Speed limit is 55, they're going 52 but they tap their brakes every 4 seconds.  I never understand it, what are you braking for?  I may have to make a modification to my driving rant I wrote, wow, looks like I wrote it last September! So yes, I swerved at a bad merger/brake tapper this morning.   Honestly, the dipstick in front of me decides "Hey, I'll merge at 50MPH since traffic is moving 70MPH, so I suppose I'll just make them all have to slow down to let me in and thus, cause pain on everyones brakes and engine and slow everyone down and make them even later to work today."  Fine, so dipstick in his nerf-bar loaded truck with a cobweb net on the back of it (why?) megres bad.  Well, Mr. Toyota Tercel doesn't move into the left lane to let us in, so dipstick has to STOP on the INTERSTATE until someone lets him in.  Man people, get with it.  I'm suddenly reminded of a deftones lyric, 'Till that son of a bitch swerved and almost hit two kids, I'm feeling heartless, feeling hate.  Let's pray that my road rage permanently goes away again after it's year long hiatus.

Ok, now that's out of my system.  So last night I was very productive.  I got some new climbing shoes at Galyans then ran a good 5 miles, made some eats, cleaned my place, did some laundry, made some phone calls (yes, me, I made phone calls!) and did some other stuff I've been meaning to do.   I guess the way the weekned is panning out, looks like I'll be going to a Cocktail party on Friday night (but I'm not drinking), Saturday I'll probably go to Scotishfest (Yes, I'll have a Guinness or three), and Sunday I'll be climbing.  Today I'll be working and "we need to sorta play catch-Up, yeah."  (Lumburgh)

I've decided to expand my eclectic MP3 collection to the maximum before these shady RIAA folks make it illegal to even rip a cd which I personally own.  I hate the RIAA, bastards.  I saw the funniest commercial the other day, claiming that downloading music from the internet is costing everybody in hollywood their jobs, the slogan was, "Let's put a stop to piracy."  I shit my pants I laughed so hard at that.  So to contribute to the land of piracy, I present to you today's MP3....

I have a few more major updates I finished up but I think I'm going to space them out so I have something new at least twice a week for a few weeks without having to do anything, until then, some new pictures were put up on Monday (just a few), the picture of the day is new, the MP3 is new, and I put up some memories of mine on the "My Mind" page (formerly known as the opinion page and the rants page, and in about 3 months will probably be known as the "Thoughts" page)

Adios todos.

August 5, 2003

I just realized I've been listening to the same CD at work for like a week straight now, at least it's a good one.  Watched the Royals beat the Chi-Sox last night, that was a fun game to watch on the new TV.  They're going to take this division, too bad we lost Michael Tucker last night, that could hurt.  But rumor has it we're getting Kevin Appier back later this week.  He was a beast when he played for K.C. a few years back, hopefully he can continue where he left off for them.

Ran 4 millies last night as well, but not so good on time.  I was at like 8 1/2 minute miles, about a minute more per mile than I was for the Bolder Boulder.   Hopefully I can get down to 7:15 minute miles by next Bolder Boulder.  I'm pretty sure I'm running the Boulder Backyards 1/2 Marathon in late September, then the P.F. Chang's Rock 'N' Roll Marathon in Phoenix in January.  Need to stay in shape though.  I lifted before work today, will go over lunch, and plan on doing 4-5 miles again tonight.  I can't wait to get back to Iowa next weekend to do some sea-level running, it's so much easier.  I can go twice as far and much faster when you drop me down about 5000 more feet than I'm at now (Westminster's Elevation is like 5380 I think).

Talked to Ryan last night, looks like Sunday we're going climbing again.   This time we're going to kill three birds with one stone (Yeah, I meant that you PETA bastards.  I'll probably eat them too.)   Oh wait, what I really meant is that we're going to climb 3 14ers on Sunday.  Mt. Democrat (14,148 feet), Mt. Bross (14,172 feet), and Mt. Lincoln (14,286 feet).   These are all much easier than Long's was a few weeks ago, but Lincoln is about 30 feet higher.  That'll put me at 4/54 14ers.   I'm not going to do them all quite yet as the Maroons and Capital just scare the shit out of me by looking at pictures.  Whew!  But yeah, climbing 14ers - everyone needs to try it!

Here's a really good page that rates all of the 14ers by height, fatigue, and fear factor.  As you can see, Long's got a "high" fatigue rating and a "moderate" fear-factor.  There's only 6 rated as scarier than it is, so my lifelong goal will be to get all 54, but I need to conquer my fear before I can get to Wilson, Eolus, Pyramid, the Maroons, and Capital

Anyways, that's all I have for you today.  I'll even go so far as to put up a new MP3 today for you, along with pictures and all that jazz.

August 4, 2003

First off - if you are emailing me, expect a long delay in replies due to several reasons I'm not going to get into.  If you absolutely must get ahold of me, use my hotmail account for now as I don't even have fleetmail running on this machine right now, sorry.  I still can't access the site from my computer, quite stumped as I've flushed the DNS and all temp files, etc.  reinstalled the NIC and all sorts of stuff with minimal success, whatever.  I dont' have time to screw around with it right now.

Don't you hate it when you have a baseball sized bruise on your leg and you have no idea where it came from?!

Had a good weekend, watched the first NFL game of the year on my new tv, which by the way, rules.

I was bored yesterday and didn't feel like doing anything, so I wrote down some old memories - it got rather long, but reader beware and read only if you want to.

Don't feel like updating today due to the technical issues, but there's a few new things on the newpix page, check em out.  Adios.

August 1, 2003

HAPPY BIRTHDAY (tomorrow) TO MATTHEW RENZE!!!!

I'm experiencing hardcore technical difficulties today so this'll be really short as I HATE working from my laptop.  In fact, I don't want to update today, fuck this.  My email doesn't work right now so send email to fleetmack@hotmail.com or something, I may hop in and out of the forums today from the laptop, we'll see.  By the way - this is ridiculous.  20,000 of you visit here a month and 52 of you use the forums?!?!?! Get with the program.  Some dipshit wrote in my guestbook last night, but I'll keep true to my word and not edit it.

Get this - I'm not going mountain climbing, camping, white water rafting, to minneapolis, to iowa, to vegas, to gov's park, to drag races, to the renissance festival, biking, NOTHING!! I'm doing nothing interesting this weekend for once!   Whew, time to sit on my ass and relax by the pool for a weekend.  Football starts tomorrow - watching the Jets/Bucs game on my new widescreen HDTV, that should rock.   Going to a party 2nite, and get this - going to Church on Sunday.  How ya like that?  Ok, I'm out.  Let's hope I figure these technical difficulties out or this site will start sucking royally from here until eternity.
